I had previously taken the three week course and was highly satisfied with that one. This one was a bit more challenging but the knowledge I gained whilst working on my project was well worth it.
I really enjoyed this course. I tried out the 3-week workshop to see if I even liked the code, and turns out I do! The final project was really fun to build:)
It was very achievable to me as a first time coder. I really enjoyed this course, especially the pace at which Mat goes through each concept and builds on each skill lesson my lesson. I loved how the final project tied in all the concepts in a very practical and functional way!
The Plus & React workshops were both challenging and fulfilling. If you're committed to making a change or learning a new skill, I recommend completing the trifecta of workshops. I look forward to creating future projects for my portfolio. Thank you Matt, João & Lexi!
Highly recommend all three workshops with SheCodes! I do wish React was longer and it would be nice to have a different project from the weather app in SheCodes Plus, though I do appreciate seeing how to take a vanilla js project and build it through React. The SheCodes team is extremely helpful and I enjoyed being part of the community on Slack. After completing all three workshops, I believe more education is needed before applying to any junior development roles, but this is an amazing start and provides a lot of resources and knowledge to get you started in software development!
This workshop was challenging but incredibly fun. The course is really well structured and easy to follow, and the SheCodes team is very nice and helpful. The amount of time spent on building the final project was completely worth it. Now, I am looking forward to learning React!
SheCodes is an amazing project with a very special message. I'm very glad to see that a workshop is supporting women's careers in a male dominant industry. I was curious about coding for a good while but never thought I would be able to do it. A huge thank you to this amazing team for showing me it's possible and for changing my life!
Considering my background, I never expected to like or understand coding but this workshop completely changed my perception. SheCodes is truly an amazing project, I had lots of fun learning about coding and it is exciting to see all the little changes you're making in your work in real time. The videos are vey straightforward, you can easily keep up and help via Slack is super fast! I truly enjoyed being able to work at my own pace and take time to apprehend all the new information. Joining this workshop was hands down one of the best decisions I made.

I decided to attend the course out of curiosity. I don't want to be a developer, but I wanted to understand a bit of it since I work with developers and also I sell a JS technology, so it's good to know how it works to talk with my prospects. And at the end of the course I had a trip, so didn't put much effort into the final project, but the important thing is the knowledge. The course is very very good, and having the support on Slack is a super plus!!
It was so much fun learning and working on projects and challenges. The mentors were very helpful and I learned quite a bit. I look forward to the next Chapters of Plus React!
I highly recommend this course to anyone! if you want to both have fun and be challenged at the same time, then SheCodes is definitely the place to be~ I think, this is a really comprehensible beginner course. Everything from the instructions to the guides to the tasks to the projects etc. I've really learnt a whole lot from this course and loved every single moment, Awesome!
My adventure with SheCodes started quite by chance, I saw an ad, so I said why not? I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of Matt's classes, but also by the nice community behind SheCodes. The learning curve in this workshop was incredible! No question left unanswered thanks to the lovely post challenge solution videos, which are always reassuring after some of the most challenging moments. There are still some areas I would like to improve in my projects but thanks to this workshop I actually feel capable of doing so!

SheCodes Plus was a real challenge. I learned a lot and the support from teachers was great. The course material was really good to create a simple project. When I tried to make my project more complex, I found the help I needed through the slack channel.
That was quite a ride! Right off the bat, I can say that I’m not mastering React (yet), but I can ensure that these weeks of learning React were a great start to put myself into this learning process. I like how recorded lessons were raw and that Matt showed the whole process (without editing it out) and the challenges he was facing along the way. One thing I’d love to see in the future is more courses for different project types. I guess I’m saying that because I really enjoyed the classes, and I wish I could stay for a bit longer, diving even deeper into coding with the SheCodes team :) Thank You ALL - Matt, SheCodes Team, and all Ladies!

I really enjoyed the process of working on my SheCodes Plus Project. I was able to use all that I learned in my two workshops to make something impressive! This was a great way to commit all that I learned to my memory in a fun and effective way.
I tried many different online coding courses but none of them were as engaging as SheCodes. The fact that we have a community on Slack is an added bonus because you get to see fellow SheCoders like you learn and figure out the tasks given. I especially like the fact that we are given a project at the end of the workshop for you to test your skills from the lessons. Would definitely recommend!
Matt's approach to teaching was simplistic and easy. Each lesson built up towards the next steps leading all the way to the main project. I enjoyed coding with SheCodes.

I really enjoyed this react workshop Matt was so explain in the videos and also I received a lot of help from Joao. I've never made a project like I made here, I also learned pretty much.
I chose 3 out of 5 for this product for a few different reasons. Some of the reasons I will list have a positive and a negative side to them. I am continuing on to complete the Plus and React courses as well, but the Workshop has set the tone for me in regards to expectations from SheCodes. POSITIVES: (1) SheCodes will help me reach a decent skill level in coding languages and software that are brand new to me. (2) The instructor provides good resources for you to further your knowledge [on your own]. (3) You can learn most of this information for FREE online, but the key to SheCodes is the packaging. You would have a difficult time finding a similar course that includes infrastructure, support and accountability. In my opinion, that is where SheCodes SHINES and is the primary benefit of learning code through this platform. NEGATIVES: (1) While the instructor points you in the right direction to helpful resources, I feel that SheCodes should also provide reference materials within the program (material created by SheCodes). The documentation for each lesson is helpful but it is inconvenient to hunt down, for example, how to properly code an event listener in JavaScript after I have moved on from that lesson. Also, the documentation for topics were introduced too early or too late. There were a few times where I remember watching the video then viewing the documentation and seeing concepts that had yet to be discussed in the videos - which also makes it harder to hunt down documentation later on while working on the project. (2) In the same vein, I also wish that there was actual documentation. The documentation included are examples at best, but I feel with the cost of the program, there should be accompanying text. Personally, I grasp concepts so much better when I can read something through. I understand you learn code by doing it, but I should have the option to read and understand why, for example, I have to change an image display to block if I want to center it on the webpage. The instructor videos VERY LIGHTLY scratch the surface of each language, and I feel that I deserve WAY more out of SheCodes for the cost. I still have 2 more sessions of SheCodes so maybe I will find more value along the way. CONCLUSION: SheCodes has good packaging but it only gets 3 stars from me, because I will still have to find and/or create my own reference materials to retain the skills I've learned. I am continuing on to SheCodes Plus then React, so I am excited to keep learning (especially so quickly)! However, I fear this will only amount to three INTRODUCTORY courses that I overpaid for.
I am really glad I joined the course, it not only taught me a new coding language but also gave me an opportunity to learn how to modify the existing code and make it cleaner. I am very happy with the way my final project turned out.
I have loved every minute of this workshop. The exercises after the lessons really helped with integrating what I learned. Also having deadlines provided me with the discipline I needed to go through with it. Working on my personal project was so fun, I can't wait to continue my adventure at SheCodes!

SheCodes Plus React is what I needed to gain the confidence to pursue a career in software developing . Matt is such an awesome instructor who is honest and fun to learn coding with. I really enjoyed building the final project and I felt that my knowledge is solid and earned. This was my first try at coding and I loved it beginning to end. It was challenging at times and making me question my sanity sometimes, but I enjoyed it immensly. Matt put together an amazing workshop and I can't believe it has taken only three weeks to learn so much. I had so much fun putting together the final project, I'll definitely keep on studying and tinkering! Looking forward to the next course.
A nice way to learn a new language! I really enjoyed learning HTML, JavaScript and CSS with Matt. I loved seeing my project building up step by step to the final website. I will definitely use what I have learnt to make another personal project.
Great opportunity to start coding and made first project. The lessons are really understandable for person who hasn't got IT degree. Moreover you can always ask for help on slack if you have any problems with your code. I recommend that course if you want to try yourself in web developing.
I would Highly recommend this workshop! I wanted to know the basics of programming and now I feel that not only I learned the basics but I could actually apply them in a project that I am proud of. Great online classes, I have learned a lot over the past few months. The video tutorials were very clear and the workload has been very manageable. I found it useful having access to the Slack group and other student's projects when tasks became challenging. Looking forward to learning more.

I wouldn’t recommend the workshop to people who already been through computer science class especially React. On the other hand I highly recommend this workshop for people who want to learn React or take their first steps into programming / development. I had fun during this workshop, it was nice to challenge myself and to try new things, as well as to improve my knowledge. The team is always ready to support you, even with problems that I had created myself by creating the project differently than requested, because I wanted to challenge myself a bit more. I have had a great time learning how to code with SheCodes. It not only teaches and gives suggested answers to each tutorials, but also allows us to ask questions when we face problems with our coding. Besides, the deadline of each week's homework disciplines me to pass up my project on time as I tend to procrastinate a lot. For me, it was the best decision to sign up for SheCodes.
Starting with only very basic HTML and CSS knowledge, I can't believe how far I've come with SheCodes! Although it was tough at times, I loved every second of the projects and tutorials. I feel confident in the basics now and I'm looking forward to building on my knowledge from here with my own projects. I thought I would be overwhelmed given that I had little to no experience programming but it was very intuitive and easy to follow. The community on slack is really nice and always ready to help. SheCodes has been the perfect pandemic project for me, with just the right balance of structure and creativity, allowing me to re-learn how to learn. The video material was super easy to follow. The workshop is the perfect introduction (as well as a refresher if it's been a while!) to HTML, CSS and JS - the information does not overwhelm you and it actually makes you excited to come back to it every week and complete the challenges/homework. The knowledge that you'll gain solely from the workshop may be limited, but it will be a solid foundation and once you get to the final project you'll realize how much you've actually learned as it will be sufficient to get you "in the zone" and allow you to have fun with it :) . The personal advice offered by the instructor is extremely useful as well. Definitely worth every cent. Excited to come back for more soon!
I really enjoyed the SheCodes introductory workshop! Matt was a great teacher and went through everything step-by-step. I especially enjoyed his humour - it made learning more fun! The challenges and project are also a great way to hold you accountable and practice what you learn along the way. I'm a digital marketing professional and I think what I have learned here will certainly help me in my career. I'm looking forward to continuing my learning and becoming more adept with programming. I definitely recommend that everyone learn at least the basics of programming - you won't regret it.
SheCodes Plus has really improved my skills in my job as a software tester. I am now much more skilled at writing quality bugs and pointing developers to the issue, even helping to debug code and setting up the automation testing on our project. SheCodes bootcamp takes the mystery out of coding and make projects straight-forward to learn development skills in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. In completing the weather application, though there were moments of frustration, the scope and the instruction helped me overcome the challenges of using vanilla Javascript to build a functional application. I can't wait to take on more challenges!

I am so happy I went ahead and decided to move forward with taking SheCode Plus. It was very challenging and frustrating at times, but it definitely reinforced my knowledge from the 1st workshop AND built upon it. I can't wait to use what I've learned for real-life projects so I can enhance my skills.
I loved the SheCodes+ course and working on my finale project. It was intense, and some challenges can be difficult, but Matt explains things super clearly and makes learning very fun. The team is so nice, and available to help. I liked that there is also a bit of interaction on Slack with other students. I've succeeded to complete the course while working full-time and being pregnant, and I'm not sure I could have done it with a different course. I'm really grateful for this opportunity, and looking forward to learn more about coding.
Matt was very concise and his lessons were very easy to follow. I really had a good time learning all about HTML, CSS and Java, and then creating a landing page as final project was really rewarding. I highly recommend the SheCodes workshops! I was always very curious about coding, but never really had the time to explore this world, when this course came up on my LinkedIn feed it felt perfect timing! I first went to the free coding class with Matt and in just that 1h I learned so much. The SheCodes Online Workshop is suited for students of all ages and for beginners, it's well-paced, and at the end of each lesson, we have the opportunity to also practice with homework and projects. We are fully supported, if we have any difficulties on the projects we can ask the technical assistants and fellow students, and Matt is a brilliant teacher! After this workshop, I'm thinking to continue my studies in coding!

Complete beginner here! I've tried and failed, start and stopped free coding workshops, and felt convinced I would never get the hang of it. I wasn't cut out for coding. Now, I'm sad it's going to be over! I had so much fun learning from Matt, the tools were amazing and the knowledge feels like a huge stepping stone for me! I was itching to get my two little girls to bed every night these past three weeks so that I could get to my challenges! The project was so fun, I finished it early :) I cannot recommend this enough.

I took a BIG FAT chance, by seeing an AD somewhere and jumped right into Shecodes because I loved what Shecodes stood for. I'm someone with limited experience and brand new to the field. Just to finally complete the final project and understand the language of coding has been SUPER rewarding for me. The structure of the class didn't always make sense in the beginning, but TRUST the process and the guidance. By the way, Matt's voice is sooooo soothing and easy to follow that I was constantly re-playing his videos without losing focus.
SheCodes Plus was just what I was looking for in a coding workshop. It's a great entry into learning vanilla javascript and how to host your own website! The weather project that I worked on over the course of the program really helped cement all of the new techniques I was learning each week. I look forward to learning even more in SheCodes React :)

I had been planning to start a programming course, but they all seemed so strict and hard that I gave up (for some time). After seeing the SheCodes project, I was very surprised and curious to know how that would work. When I sent the final project, I was sad that the course was at its end. I want to learn mOre!
I had no previous knowledge of code at all but it's always been something I would love to learn so I was nervous going in but SheCodes is absolutely incredible! Matt explains everything so clearly step by step while allowing you to be creative when completing your own projects. So happy I found SheCodes I can't wait to learn more!
SheCodes is absolutely perfect as a beginner's class for someone like me, who had no knowledge of coding at all - the lessons were clear, incremental as to avoid confusion, with great practice homework leading to a final project. I had hoped that web development could be a good future for me, and this program has shown that I really enjoy doing it too!
This is my third SheCodes course and I really thoroughly enjoyed it just like I enjoyed all the other ones. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who is interested in learning coding because the price is fair compared to other bootcamps and it's easy to follow along at your own pace. I have an interest now in strengthening what I've learned in order to get better at coding, but I love that I have a solid foundation and an impressive project under my belt for potential job prospects.
I have spent years in Marketing but having worked with developers, I always had an urge to learn the basics and be able to code! This course was easy to digest as well as always having someone there for guidance if needed through Slack. I loved the community aspect and being able to see others on their journey too. I really enjoyed the weekly projects and look forward to continuing to code!

The online community on Slack is friendly, helpful, inclusive and you can find all the help you need if you get stuck on the tasks. SheCodes has found the perfect balance between providing support and giving the users flexibility to complete the course in their own time. Matt's videos are clear and easy to follow! I'm really enjoying the course and I am signing up for the React Plus as I want to keep learning. I also really love seeing everyones final projects!

SheCodes is a great platform in learning how to code. The lessons were easy to follow while the challenges helped you to break down the steps to practice and fully understand the concepts. The projects reflected the concepts taught in the lessons but also gave you the freedom to be creative and make it your own. SheCodes is so much more than a learning platform. The Career Handbook is helping me to decide the next steps to take after graduating the bootcamp and continuing my coding journey. They also have SheCodes Radio that plays different music depending on your mood to code to. The SheCodes team has been so helpful and supportive as well. SheCodes was a great way to actually learn something useful during the COVID-19 pandemic. It wasn't overwhelming, and all the small projects really helped me understand new concepts. I never realized how fun coding could be!
80% of the people I have met since I live in Berlin are dedicated to web development. One day I was so intrigued by this that I started looking for information and thus I found out about SheCodes. I highly recommend this course, either if it's to add a new skill to your CV or to get creative with your own projects. The workshop it's easy to follow and the Slack community is wonderful!
This course is not only enjoyable and easy to follow, but it's one you'll actually complete! I found myself motivated by what I was learning, so I wanted to get to the next lesson and finish my projects. I definitely recommend it if you're looking to learn the basics of code!
The "classes" were broken down in to small, digestible segments. That worked well for me. It was completely hands-on, which is the perfect way to learn this type of material. Matt's enthusiasm was contagious. I did end up having fun writing code. At first I didn't like being assigned a task that wasn't covered. But that was an important part of the experience. For the final project, I was comfortable searching for answers to my questions on-line. Thank's SheCodes. It was great!
Coding always looked intimidating, but after taking this workshop I realized that HTML, JAVA, and CSS are languages that can be learned! I am glad I have spent significant time on my final project, and I am thankful for all the support I have received during the workshop by my fellow coders!
This course has been very challenging for me and I definitely felt overwhelmed at times, but building my final project helped give me perspective on how much I have learned in such a short time. I can't wait to continue to learn with the React course!
I'd long been curious about exploring the world of coding but didn't know where to start or if I was even capable of learning how to code. Two weeks ago, I noticed an ad for one of the Express Classes and registered on a whim, taking it as a sign that my time to start coding was here and now. After that, I immediately enrolled in the Introductory Workshop, and I'm so glad I did. SheCodes has nailed it with a formula of easy-to-follow instructional videos, challenges, and solutions, making coding accessible and fun. Each lesson kept me engaged and excited to proceed. I realized how much I looked forward to coming home from work and continuing my lessons. I truly enjoyed building my final project and applying all of the concepts to create my very first landing page using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I think it's safe to say that I've discovered a new passion for coding and look forward to learning more when I enroll in SheCodes Plus React!
