Loved the add-on, already purcahsed the full package in the New Year and was a little worried that I would be learning skills from the more 'advanced' courses - but this was not the case. Still loving coding with help from Matt and the team! βΊοΈ
Quick way to get a basic knowledge in html, css and javascript; The workload is absolutely fine while working full-time, however you need to block some time for the challenges and homework. Sometimes it took me a bit longer than expected but it's absolutely manageable. Matt's videos are great, easy to follow and actually quite entertaining, I also really liked that the videos aren't too long so you can stay focused and take some breaks in between.
A very informative workshop that can be done by anyone. You do not need to have any prior coding knowledge or experience to be able to complete the tasks and the projects. Everything is explained very well by Matt.
I learned so much in the past few months and Matt is a great teacher. Loved every second of it.

I really enjoy learning with Matt! I thought I wouldn't be able to code, but surprisingly in a few hours, I was already doing it and learning a lot :) The exercises are fun, and the method of learning and putting it right away into practice makes all the difference because I got motivated to continue. SheCodes Basics was very helpful for someone like me who is totally new in the IT or coding industry. The instructions in each video by Matt were very clear and precise. I never considered coding, I've been in the healthcare field for 8 years. Since COVID it's been tough, and I was at a point where I wanted to do something, but I wasn't sure what. I came across an ad on Facebook for SheCodes. I thought "why not check it out?". I originally believed it was all about math, but was I wrong. After the introduction session, I signed up right away with SheCodes Basics, just to get my foot in the door and see what it was all about. Matt made it easy to follow along with the videos and the fact that even though after you submit you are given the solution, there's no one way to solve it. Knowing this, it made it all the better to not feel as if there's only ONE right way to do something. I've genuinely enjoyed myself so far and considering going back to school to turn this into a possible career for myself!

Absolutely loved the Responsive course. I already did SheCodes Basic and Plus, and Responsive is my favorite one so far! Learning all the Bootsrap tricks, deploying the website to Github, transforming a Figma design into code, and improving overall coding skills really make this programming journey rewarding. I learned a lot and really enjoyed creating the Portfolio webpage, so much that I even created two: my personal portfolio page, and an artist page. The course is very well constructed β the instruction videos by Matt are concrete and easy to follow, and are a really clear explanation for the corresponding homework assignments. When getting stuck, it was really easy to reach out to tutors and get all the help I needed on Slack, a special thanks for that!

Believe it or not, I was skeptical (at first). I did not envision this introductory coding workshop to be THIS fun! I really enjoyed it from beginning to end! 10/10! π Not only did they reinforce what were taught during the lessons, the weekly challenges and final project allowed for creativity, and actually motivated me to enjoy the coding experience even more! Slack was amazing as well! As someone with limited coding skills, these hands-on lessons gave me the confidence, now, coding in HTML/CSS/JavaScript and not scare me away! I knew nothing about React, but I learned a lot from this. I went through the videos and built my site as we went. Then, I tried altering the source code from Matt and building it. I got awesome results and learned a ton both ways. I'd recommend building the app multiple times with different methods for the best results!

A rather brilliant introduction to the coding basics. Matt doesn't bombard you with too much information, but instead focuses on the core foundations you need to know to make something simple but effective.

Hello, I think taking Shecode workshop was defiantly a great decision. At first I was a little hesitant because Iβm a busy mom of two toddlers. I spent about 1-2 hrs per day on the lessons. Matt is at amazing teacher he really breaks down each lesson for easy understanding. This workshop was 3 weeks long and it covered the fundamentals . I would defiantly take more shecodes workshops.
My journey as a frontend developer, has been an interesting one, Courtesy to Shecodes I can make a page responsive using media querry and bootstrap fot this has always been a challenge, but with matt class, i got a better understandeing on how to go about it an i got better. thanks shecodes for this great opportunity.

Coding is mostly PRACTICE and Matt knows it well, taking the education system to another level: smart, fun and productive, focusing on quality over quantity, as lessons are short but they give you ALL the tools you need to start coding on your own. SheCodes learning path is as simple as it is effective, and it is "programmed" for literally anyone. In only three weeks I was able to build a project which I really love and I am very proud of. Just completed one more amazing WorkShop from SheCodes: React. It was new and challenging, I followed step by step Matt's lessons and then watched them again and again and redid the project few times but in the end I did it! Thank you for the great opportunity to learn and believe in myself.
I enjoyed learning about different programming languages other than R and Python, having experience in both helped me understand HTML, CSS, and Javascript more easily. I greatly enjoyed the creative aspect of CSS with all of the aesthetics that could be altered for the project. I also both hated and enjoyed functions in JavaScript and enjoyed learning from both Matt and looking for information and tutorials online. This was an enlightening experience and I have to say - more fun than function writing in Python.
I only just recently graduated from university and found myself questioning what the next chapter for me is. As I continued to do so, I bumped into SheCodes, allowing me to expand on other possible future careers I may be interested in. So far I only completed the first workshop which to my surprise was actually really fun and simple to follow thanks to Matt and his very helpful videos. Would strongly recommend SheCodes to anyone that is looking for a website that contains all the sources they need to learn the basics of coding - HTML, CSS etc.

My greatest lessons from this project was to not overthink creating a dark theme page and to remember to edit photos before adding them to my html, not editing them in CSS. π© #matttaughtme

Each lesson is broken down into short tutorials which held my attention and made it easier for me to refer back to specific topics when I needed to. As a busy mother who has to stop and go throughout the day, I did not feel overwhelmed with the lessons and challenges and I was actually excited to learn more and more each day. Our instructor, Matt, also allows us to learn from our mistakes and get into the practice of breaking down and inspecting code, so we gain as much understanding as possible. 100% recommend to ANY busy mother or woman who wants to jump into tech!

I came into the course with absolutely no knowledge or experience of coding. The first week was a bit overwhelming (as Matt predicted), but I am amazed by how much I learned and how much I was able to accomplish (through a lot of trial and error) in three weeks. The course is very well-organized, and the support of the SheCodes team very timely and effective. Initially, I did not believe that I would experience coding as a creative process. I was wrong.

I have had so much enjoyable time learning react with SheCodes; I had tried to learn react with Youtube videos, spent months on them, not much of a progress or a good foundation I could get...and here, thanks to Matt and SheCodes Team, in nearly 2 weeks I could understand everything! Loved that we built the same app that we completed with J.S.; this way the differences got noticeable!
