A really hectic week. Very challenging, very informative. I've learnt so much from Matt's classes, the program is very supportive. I also love how the team isn't spoonfeeding, and leaves room for you to consult other resources such as Google in order to find ways to deal with other challenges as well as be creative. Genuinely loved every step of the way.
Incredible fun workshop - I learned quite a bit and am eager to continue and practice everything Matt teaches.
I found this workshop very intuitive and very enjoyable; Matt and his team did a really lovely job breaking everything down into digestible pieces. I'm so excited and proud to apply coding knowledge to personal projects now. As a designer, its nice to be able to make a site look exactly as you want it to, without many restrictions.

I've taken a few online courses over the years, but it is safe to say that SheCodes tops them all by far. Matt is highly skilled at breaking down complex information into manageable and understandable chunks in a logical order that allows you to gradually build a solid foundation of knowledge, which is further reinforced by the demonstrations and examples provided in the lessons, and your own practice via the lesson challenges, homework and projects. Kudos to Matt and his team for developing a fun but informative way for women (especially busy working class females) to learn coding. This is a course that every female should pursue because not only are you armed with another skillset, but you will be in a network of smart females. My feedback on this course: I got value for my money, course was presented in a well written and sequential way. The course weekly assessments were of very high standard and the entire hands-on approach was what made this course suitable for females of every walks and background. I strongly recommend this coding course to every single females in every single country around the world!!!
SheCodes React was definitely the most challenging of the courses but totally worth it! At first, React seemed hard and complex but as always Matt and the rest of the team were there to explain and break things down as well as correct mistakes. I would highly recommend SheCodes. Not only is Matt a great teacher, but the fact that money from the workshops goes to fund the Delac Foundation to support women around the world is a bonus. Until now I have struggled with coding, it never seemed to 'click' with me. After being laid off from work the week before Christmas I decided to do something to boost my hireability. Not only did I learn a lot about how to make sure the websites I'm building are also responsive & easy to be viewed on smaller pages (like from a phone), but at the end, I even came out with a beautiful portfolio that I now cannot wait to expand with even more projects! I love learning so much about making a website responsive. What I appreciate more is that we learned how to make a website responsive without the use of a framework such as Bootstrap. It is possible to do many things with vanilla HTML and CSS. Thank you so much Matt!

For someone with 0 coding background, SheCodes Basics taught me how to build a website from scratch using HTML, CSS and Javascript! The videos are easy to follow as well, Matt explained very well a lot of fundamental theories and why certain steps need to be followed. I can understand the instructions 99% of the time. I look forward to continuing further with coding, especially web development.
SheCodes is a great way to learn to code. The videos are easy to understand and well explained. I've already learned a bit of code on free platforms, but Matt gave me additional tips and tricks during the basic workshop that are very useful and make coding much easier. Matt is passionate about what he does and his idea to start SheCodes is just wonderful in my opinion! Many thanks for that. (I also really enjoyed the SheCodes Radio during my coding sessions).

It was a very nice experience and I learned a lot in this basic workshop. Matt explains very well and the course is very structured. For the moment I will stick with the basics and do easy websites for friends. But my plan for next year is definetly to do the SheCode MAX Workshop and to go all in. I started coding with Mr. Matt. I totally started from scratch and I am delighted to see my metamorphosis in me after 6+ months of coding. Never have I ever imagined that I could continue my coding journey especially after my post-partum. The videos are short and covers everything to become a Frond-end Developer. I am also over the moon because I did something which I have always wanted to do. I had a flair for technology. I know its just a drop in the ocean but still its from the ocean. I liked the workshop. It's really organized, and helpful. I loved the design of the course and all resources that were beside it. Matt teaches well and that doesn't make the course tiring at all.
It was not an easy course. I felt stuck and couldn't move forward a couple of times, but the Shecodes team and community came to the rescue and helped me through the challenge. Being able to create a Weather App at the end of the course gives me confidence and inspires me for new projects. I am very grateful to Matt and the team for this valuable experience!
React course was for me the most challenging so far. I will review Matt's videos as I have forgotten some Tipps I have learned in the past. Coding itself is fun when it works! (it's stressful when it doesn't work :p)
I'm loving my coding journey so far! Learning to code is something I never imagined that I'd be doing as I always considered myself "non-technical". I thought I'd give it a try and I've surprised myself! Matt is a great teacher and the learning process has been highly engaging and fun!
I have always been curious to understand what the word "coding" was all about, one of the most heard words lately... I had no idea, a lot of fear but more curiosity. It's been three weeks and I NEVER thought I could have advanced so much from a starting point in which, I was completely null in the field. It has been three super fun weeks, what a nice way Matt explained the steps in detail, with a lot of clarity. I realized that it is not impossible, that it is an exciting world and that if I keep practicing I will be able to keep falling in love with it. Thanks SheCodes, I lost my fear, you have allowed me to prove to myself that I can do it!
This course is full of new instruction to develop a project. Really enjoyed learning more about the functionality of JavaScript! Matt was amazing and explains step by step. So learning will be easier with SheCodes!

It is truly one of the best schools and methodologies for teaching programming, which is suitable for self-organized people. You must be responsible, be able to properly organize your training, have strong motivation and purpose. In this case, you are guaranteed success. Because Matt explains everything very clearly in his lessons, there is a very convenient Slack where you can find answers to your questions about challenges or homework. If something does not work out, you can always contact the support team and they will always answer your question, even if it is not very smart;). Definitely thank you๐ and highly recommend!

This was a really great experience. I love how Matt explained everything. I loved the idea of learn then actually practice hands on. I find it very difficult to sit and watch long videos and PowerPoints. I like how Matt broke everything down into smaller categories and provided an opportunity to actually practice after teaching through a short video. I am a hands-on learner and I feel that he catered to my learning style.
I sincerely appreciate the SheCodes Basics program for allowing me the opportunity to pursue one of my curiosities, while also keeping the process fun and engaging. I am grateful to have learned from an instructor who is not only passionate about coding, but who is also extremely knowledgeable. I have always been so scared of coding, it looks so intense. SheCodes made coding not only fun but easy to understand. I found myself so excited to get to the next lesson and learn more. With SheCodes the weekly homework assignments just added to the experience. The final project was so much fun to piece together. There were definitely moments I got stuck but Matt is an excellent teacher and prepares you with all of the tools you will need to hand in a successful project! I truly enjoyed the course in its entirety.

SheCodes has helped me so much, i was really struggling with anxiety and depression when i first started this course. But i have found that doing this course has really helped me focus on something other than how i was feeling and being a part of a lovely team of women from all over the world who are learning at the same time as me has been brilliant! And knowing that anytime i needed any help, there was always someone there, no matter how easy or difficult the question was i was never made to feel stupid for not knowing the answer! i would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone! And i feel so proud of myself for finishing and passing this course!
A great introductory course to coding. I found Matt's instructions to be very helpful, even as someone that had no prior background in coding. I would say that the first week is definitely the hardest, but once you grasp the basics, all the information you are learning makes sense and builds upon itself. I also found it helpful to watch the videos and practice the exercises at the same time (kinesthetic learner) and pausing/rewinding when I needed too. Also the extensions were a real life-saver around the holidays! Thanks for including that option!
Matt is an amazing teacher! He helped me transition into the world of HTML, CSS and JS and explained every single concept in depth with examples. I'm a CS major but I wanted to expand my knowledge about Web Development and didn't know where to start. Would definitely recommend SheCodes to those who have no experience with coding and want to break into tech.
