Coding was definitely something that I was hesitant to try out but after trying out SheCodes workshop I really enjoyed designing with code! I love how Matt teaches and explains each step! I would recommend those who took the 3-week workshop to invest in SheCodesPlus!
This introduction to coding was just amazing! Learning to code with Matt was probably equal to binge-watching your favorite Netflix series. I kept being astonished by how the web works. The online video classes are extremely well designed for anyone to learn. Plus, the technical assistants and the SheCodes community are always there to help at anytime. As a coding newbie I was very excited to find out whether I will like coding or not. I had no knowledge of coding when I signed up to SheCodes but the introductory course really caters for beginners. With each lesson you build up your knowledge a little bit more, until all of a sudden you can code a basic webpage. I've been wanting to get into coding for a very long time but hesitated because it seemed intimidating and too complex. After sitting in on one of Matt's free coding sessions, I was finally convinced to take the beginner workshop! It was SO worth it, I am so happy I took this course, it was easily digestible content, easy to learn, especially for someone like me with minimal coding experience! *addiction alert*When you start coding with the support of Matt and the crew, it's hard to stop! Indeed it's a really funny and colorful coding project, with a lot of userful indications about auxiliary tools and websites. Also the Slack app where everybody's connected is a good way to get userful infos through other users experience.
I was nervous to start at first. Not having any prior knowledge of coding was intimidating, but I am so glad I took a leap into the coding world! Matt broke everything into easy to understand concepts, without watering down key content. This course has so far given me the confidence with a strong foundation to keep learning and to grow. Not having coding experience. I was nervous to venture into the Shecodes course. I was instantly put at ease though. Matt really breaks up basic coding going step by step. Anytime i ever had a question or needed help on the homework I got instant reply's. I've honestly had a blast learning another skill set and cant wait to continue with Shecodes Plus.
I bought the 3-week course on a whim from watching Matt's introduction to coding video (which I also watched on a whim) and now I'm kinda hooked 😆 Looking forward to learning more!
I was happy to find a platform that encourages anyone can learn coding even with no prior knowledge of what or how coding works. Matt helps break down barriers of the preconceived ideas that coding is difficult and for people with advanced computer skills. Understanding coding is made achievable by Matt breaking down lessons into simple interesting sections, they don't overwhelm you in one go! Learning online with other students in the same boat have been a flexible and reassuring journey as everyone works at a different pace, reaching towards the same goal, João and Lexi have been welcoming and helpful throughout the weeks, thank you SheCodes team it was a great journey.
I took HTML and CSS in college as a design course but during that time, coding didn't click to me. After taking the 3 weeks coding courses with Matt, I now understand coding a lot better. I am considering doing more coding and possibly turning it into a career! :)
I just finished the introduction to coding workshop and I'm amazed at how much I was able to learn in only three weeks. The curriculum is very straight-forward and very easy to comprehend. Coding can be very hard to grasp, however, Matt makes it look easy, overcoming my fear of coding. The challenges are very helpful, they get more difficult as the workshop progresses. Overall, I had a great experience and I'm exciting for the next workshop.

SheCodes React was really challenging and really rewarding. My final workshop with SheCodes and I am so sad it's over! SheCodes has been so fun to help me learn and develop my skills as a designer while managing to still take complex concepts and break them into bite-size videos. When I first started this course I didn't know how much I would love coding and now on my last course of the React course, I feel so knowledgeable and ready to continue my coding journey outside of these lessons. I always thought coding was super hard and boring, and I could not contemplate ever learning this skill. How wrong was I? With the right teacher and resources it is definitely not only do-able, but FUN! Matt is a fantastic teacher, and with his clear and concise explanations learning to code is an achievable goal. Being able to not only watch, but then do really makes the whole learning experience amazing. I can't wait to start the SheCodes + workshop. I love being able to see what I code, transform into a beautiful website. Being able to see visually the result of a change really enables my brain to learn through trial and error. Love it, cannot rate this workshop highly enough. Bring it on!
I only started coding a month ago when I took the SheCodes intro course. SheCodes Plus was more challenging and rewarding. I am surprised at how quickly was able to learn this new skill. Matt's videos were very helpful and easy to understand. Whenever I hit a bump in the road there was a great community of support to help along the way. By the end of the course, you create a functional weather app using live data.
I came into SheCodes with prior self-taught knowledge, but I gained a lot of confidence in my skills! There's so much more to learn after this, but SheCodes Workshop provides a great foundation and the short video lectures are great. Matt casually exposes you to information that I didn't learn from other classes and the lessons are short and sweet so you don't get bored!
I'm sad that my SheCodes adventure comes to end and I will certainly miss the concept. You can work at your own pace, the videos of Matt are clear and João is a true life-saver on Slack. React was very challenging, but fun to learn! No regrets whatsoever. This tastes like more! Excited to see what the future will bring ...

SheCodes React is a great way to learn and test your skills in React Development. Both challenging and fun, it's very rewarding to build your own project step by step. Matt is a great teacher with video lessons that are very clear and that keep you interested and engaged through all the process. The weekly assignment's deadlines are great to keep you in line! Overall I would recommend this to anyone taking their first steps in React Development.
A great way to learn coding! Matt goes through every step and even has a review at the end which helps clear up a lot of confusion. When I ran into problems, João was very responsive on Slack to help me when I didn't understand something. Worth the time and cost!

Some people might tell you "you can learn on youtube" but, believe me, you will end up feeling frustrated. Imagine these workshops as if they were called "Programming for dummies". The SheCode 3 week workshop was really easy to follow. I like that Matt doesn't spell each and every thing out for you, rather the lessons allow you to learn on your own and interact with the community on Slack and other helpful sites. I'm excited to start the next workshop!

I've been interested in coding for a while, but I figured that it was out of my reach. However recently I'd been wanting to expand my skills and when I found SheCodes I thought it was at least worth a go. What I was not expecting was just how accessible and easy to understand Matt has made this course. In just three weeks I've developed skills I didn't think were possible for me as well as the understanding to expand my skills further on my own. This class is fantastic! I have been wanting for quite a while to learn JavaScript and gain a better understanding of HTML and CSS to improve my content development skills, and this was the perfect class to challenge me to learn and put my new skills to the test. I've taken a couple of other less cost-effective HTML courses and things just didn't click the way they did when Matt broke everything down. Each lesson is short and easy to digest, and Matt is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does (as are the rest of the SheCodes staff!). Highly recommended!
Amazing coding workshop! I am a Designer and a Luxury Marketer and I had always wanted to develop my coding skills to the next level, but I always postponed it because I thought it was very complicated and hard to understand until I got to learn from Matt! He explains in a very smooth and easy way for you to completely understand and his team is always there for your questions. This workshop is exactly what I was looking for, it gives you the ability to apply and create while you are learning and that is what helps you to make the most out of this course. I've been shopping around for the perfect coding bootcamp and I couldn't decide because I wasn't set on the prices or the courses, always something that made me hesitate. But then I found SheCodes and the way Matt teaches is so great and easy to understand! Hi! I am Zeynep Cam and will be a first-year CS student this year. First of all, I want to thank Matt Delac and tutors on Slack as well as students who actively use Slack to help or ask questions. When I first came across SheCodes, I didn't know I was gonna have a lot of fun. Before SheCodes, I was trying to learn coding by watching 4 hours, 10 hours Youtube videos. It was a terrible experience for me and I thought that I will never be able to enjoy coding and even learn it properly. I thought that my decision to go CS program was totally wrong and I was already thinking to change my program as soon as the universities begin this fall. Then I joined a Free Coding Class and eventually joined the beginner workshop. Now, I am willing to study my CS program. It is gonna take pages if I mention how much I loved SheCodes. SheCodes is the best! And, Matt Delac is an awesome teacher! Thanks again for everything <3
For me, SheCodes was the beginning of something wonderful. I’ve never learned so much new stuff in such a short time, and I also never had so much fun learning how to create, break and fix things. I’m a huge fan of Matt’s casual, creative and cool teaching style. I love that he’s able to break down even the most complex topics. His passion and excitement for coding is highly contagious. In this course, Matt provides the most important knowledge and tricks for getting a website to do what you want it to. Don’t get me wrong: The course was no piece of cake. On the contrary, it was a big challenge, but it also gave me a great feeling of achievement, and I really loved the final project. Now I feel inspired; almost unstoppable. I did enjoy this course, and there was a lot of useful information. I had previously taught myself html and css so much of that was review. However, if you haven't been exposed to either language, Matt might move a little quickly for you. Luckily you can review or slow down the videos. This course is good for the right person.
I would totally recommend this course! Matt does such a good job at making this stuff feel approachable and easy to grasp. Girl power!

Coding has always been something I have been interested in but never been brave enough to take the plunge! Finally I did and I honestly cannot thank Matt enough for his easy to follow videos and the amazing community that comes with being part of the course!
Joining SheCodes was the best decision I've made in quite some time. I was ready to challenge myself, learn something new, and change career paths but wasn't sure where to start. Matt makes learning these new skills so easy and fun. It's such a cool feeling when you discover another outlet for your creativity, and then see what you can accomplish! There's always been something about looking at code that made me want to learn and understand it. Maybe it's from watching the Matrix movies, who knows. Thanks to SheCodes I know how fun and easy it is to learn, and I'm not stopping now! With Matt's help, I'm going to learn all that there is and make this my future profession.
I came into this course completely cold. I think the last time I touched code I was editing my MySpace, around 2005. I've learned so much and had a great time, and would be very keen on doing more. Thanks Matt!
The 3-week workshop is a great introduction into coding and learning the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Matt is a super instructor. All lessons were well structured and the small challenges helped to gain confidence step-by-step and kept me engaging with this workshop. Totally recommend this to anyone who wants to try it out and decide whether to continue the path on a deeper level.
I really enjoyed studying how to code with the videos of step by step explanations by Matt. I could not imagine how interesting and fun it will be to study how to code. An absolutely outstanding workshop. In the beginning, I was unsure whether I should do the workshop since I am an absolute beginner. But Matt and his team made the workshop so understandable and interesting so that learning to code was a lot of fun. I especially liked the weekly challenges in which you could see how much progress you were making in the past week. I can highly recommend the workshop. :)
