I really enjoyed the classes Matt has given in SheCodes. It was clear and easy to follow. I love the examples he gives to be able to relate to the study. I am currently within the HR career path. However, I have always been curious about coding. I heard about SheCodes last year, and I decided 2022 was going to be my year to EMBARK on this coding journey. The main aspect I was interested in with coding was web design. 👩🏽💻I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS. I did not expect to learn as much as I did in this coding basics class. All the lessons are ordered in a way for easy learning and comprehension. Matt is an amazing teacher. With each homework assignment and project, you get to test your knowledge! I was hesitant to learn this on my own- however with the support of the SheCodes squad/other learners, I felt empowered that if I didn't understand- I could reach out on the real-time Slack chat. My final project reflects my love for baking! I tried to make it simple yet modern. There are still some concepts I would love to learn in order to implement for further development of my web design skills! I'm not sure what the future is for my coding journey as of now. When I joined SheCodes, I had zero coding experience, and Matt made coding so easy to learn. I love the way the lessons are divided into short videos, and they give a new activity in almost every lesson to put into practice what has been learned and makes it easier to memorize the information. I'm very proud of everything I've learned so far. And I can't wait to learn more.
I love the pace of the classes and how the challenges build with each lesson. The final assignment really pulls together all of the lessons and helps with repetition of content. I feel really positive about learning to code and I hope many other women join.
I absolutely loved this workshop. I learned so much during this process and I absolutely loved the final project that we got to do. Building the Weather App was such a fun experience and it really taught me a lot about my abilities and was a great learning experience at filling in the gaps. I really appreciated all the feed back that I got from the instructors and Matt gave great information in the lecture videos.

I loved how simple and engaging the course was structured! At first, I was intimidated by learning how to code, but being able to understand the logic behind and go through the challenges made me see how amazing coding is. It really hooked me!
Love how simple and user friendly the SheCodes website is. Also found the cheat sheets/resources to be extremely helpful - especially the gradients and palettes. I didn't rate SheCodes 5 stars because I feel that the lessons are taught too quickly. Perhaps it's my type of learning preference, however I believe more practice between lessons would be beneficial.
Absolutely loved it. Although enrolled in a full time university course, it was very possible to conclude the course. It's well structured, videos are not overwhelmingly long, the topics are broken down in a logic manner and it teaches you how to think about coding.
This was my third SheCodes workshop, and I loved it! The final project we were learning to build was so much fun and so useful. I come out of this journey, not only with knowledge on how to make a website responsive but also with a portfolio I can update and use to share my work!
SheCodes Basics was a lovely way to be introduced into the world of coding. The video tutorials were incredibly easy to follow, and you're also given the source code so you don't have to worry about frantically taking notes. The Challenges along the way ensured that you understood the material and served as a useful checkpoint. I genuinely enjoyed my first coding experience!
I had had ZERO experience with coding before I had the opportunity to do the SheCodes workshop and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The way Matt explains it in the videos is really comprehendable for everyone. I myself am just a musician but was capable of learning something so much different and I love it. I'm really considering buying the next course! Although for a non-working student it might be a bit tough haha

I absolutely loved my experience with the SheCodes team. It is a great platform to learn to code and to familiarize yourself with all the tools required to make your coding complete and professional.
I was hesitant at first cause coding is more like a man-relating thing and it seemed to be difficult to learn. But SheCodes courses are very easy to understand and practical. Especially I love how Matt approaches and instructs coding languages in less-than-10-minutes videos so that I do not feel bored or tired to give up. Many thanks to Matt and the team.
Coding is really fun, it is very satisfying to construct a page and experience how ideas are materialized. The team has been most supportive, questions get answered promptly. Most importantly, the instruction videos are clear and easy to follow and I love that it allowed me to learn according to my pace.

I really enjoyed this introduction to Computer Programming! I failed this course in High school because no teacher gave me the chance to shine. SheCodes helped me regain my love for coding. SheCodes React is an amazing course. It's challenging, lots to learn, but once you complete it, you'll feel accomplished and have so much more knowledge in such a short amount of time. Matt explains things very well. He is real and will show you that even an advanced developer still has much to learn. Loved this course!
I've been curious about coding since 1 year ago, when a friend gave me a glimpse of what front-end development was. Following this introduction, I started looking for online courses so I could learn without abdicating from my daily (and full-time) job as physiotherapist. I tried many different online resources, but it was when I stumbled upon SheCodes on Instagram that my interest started to feel like an actual career possibility as I was reading the different testimonies. The start of the course was exhilarating to me: after working from 9am to 5pm, I would come home excited to learn new things at the rhythm of Matt’s explanations. What I thought could be a hard thing to reconcile - my daily job and the coding assignments - turned out to be quite affordable (not only in price but also) in self-motivation to do more and better. Overall the course is simple, organized, well-explained, inexpensive and gives me lots of tools far from the coding itself as I learned how to Google my obstacles away in a productive manner. Furthermore, I think it’s great to know that you are not alone in the learning process, as there are many others sharing their own doubts on slack! I completely recommend this course, especially for people in the same situation as myself who have found an interest and would love to explore it without compromising their current economic safety :)
The SheCodes video classes and their other resources are amazing, and the team is extremely helpful. Matt's videos are very easy to follow and I love the fact that they are not scripted so we can learn even more from him as he films himself coding in real-time with all the inherent challenges. Another plus is Matt always shows us the best coding practices, even when he says: "You don't have to do this but I highly recommend (...)" 🙂 So I can't recommend this workshop enough for people who are beginning their coding journey like me. It is a bliss!!
I love how this workshop builds upon everything learnt in SheCodes Basics. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd finally understand the basics of JavaScript, let alone know how to pull data from an API or commit code to GIT. I'm ready to tackle the next workshop 💪

Highly enjoyed my SheCodes workshop, I learned a lot and I love the flexibility they offer.
I love SheCodes! I love learning all the new aspects of becoming a Software Engineer and I'm hoping I can get a job in the field, once I have completed the courses. Its so easy to learn with Matt's great teaching videos, answering questions I'm thinking of without having to ask! He knows what hes doing! It's so easy to learn and you can do it all in your own time. If you want to learn how to code, this is the way to go. I have looked at so many courses, which I found to be confusing. And although there are some things I get frustrated with when coding, Matt and the team are always there to help.
After going through the SheCode's Basic and Plus, I was excited but nervous to get started on the Responsive workshop. I LOVED this workshop! It was definitely my favorite so far. I really enjoyed learning how to make a website responsive and felt so much more confident writing code. I felt like everything I learned previously really started to click. I can't wait to start the next workshop!
This workshop is just what you need if you want to dip your toes into coding! The self-paced nature is very user friendly, and having 2 week-long extensions automatically available to you makes this course more accessible to me as a disabled woman. This course has been the right balance between challenging, rewarding and fun! Coding has been a lovely skill to learn, and this workshop has made it all the more enjoyable.
It has been an interesting workshop,I have learnt a lot in a short while.This is the first coding workshop I have completed due to the structure of the course and also Matt's teaching method. I do love these courses, but again, I would have had NO idea how to build this website without following along with Matt step-by-step. I'm not sure how I'll be able to utilize this course for getting a job in the future, despite having a portfolio (that again, I would have never been able to build if I didn't just follow along). Hoping the React course provides more confidence in the SheCodes curriculum.
I come from a health care background looking to transition to the digital and technological world. I saw many opportunities for bootcamps, self-paced studies, and other coding resources but what I loved about SheCodes is that it gave me structure. I am well capable of learning on my own, but because I am so new to the industry, I didn't know where to even start. SheCodes Basic was an amazing experience. The lectures are very straightforward and filled with all the information you will need to succeed in completing all the lesson challenges and final project. The video lectures never got too long and monotonous, Matt did a great job organizing and blocking certain topics and following it up with a hands on challenge. He also gave the solutions after each challenge with the opportunity to resubmit and correct your work if necessary. Help was always available through the Slack chat and a team member always responded within a timely manner. This course was a great introduction to solidifying my future plans. I will be continuing this journey and diving in deeper! Thank you Matt and Team for helping me understand this whole new world of computer language!

SheCodes Basics was a great beginners course! I had some prior HTML/CSS knowledge from my MySpace days, but the instructor, Matt, did a great job going a little deeper into each topic. Javascript was brand new to me, so Week 2 was a little trickier but rewarding. Matt did a good job providing a clear overview of JavaScript basics. I loved all the exercises after each lesson, and I thought the weekly homework was an awesome way to put what I learned into practice. Overall, the course was appropriately challenging and fun!

SheCodes Basic was a lovely intro to HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I loved the classes and the challenges. Getting to do some hands-on coding right away, really made me feel like I was learning quickly and effectively. It has definitely inspired me to want to learn more coding! This just gives you a little glimpse at the great possibilities knowing how to code can create.
I LOVE LOVE LOVED this course, it was very challenging but everything was still explained very nicely. I've been through the trials and tribulations of many online coding resources and this has been by far my favorite. Matt teaches in a way that is not holding your hand through the entire process but giving you the tools you need to assess the problem.
