SheCodes Coding Workshop Reviews

SheCodes React was my last set of tutorials and it allowed me for a huge step up in my coding knowledge, having taught how to host my own website online. I very much enjoyed the experience once again and would love to make use of my newly developed coding skill really soon.

The workshop was nice and easy to follow. You can watch the videos on your own time and finish the homework before the deadline. I also love the fact that we can reference back to the videos to remind us how to do certain codes.

It feels so good to have been able to create this from scratch. The course structure makes sense and specially loved in the last two weeks to see Matt creating the app in real time.

"SheCodes is amazing. The lessons are nicely explained and test your abilities to apply what was taught through the lessons in an inventive way. The Slack messaging team helps you if you're stuck on your homework. I love that I chose to learn coding on this platform!

Loved learning how to make this weather app and new skills like API integration. I love that this program is self-paced and there is always lots of help available if needed!

This workshop was a nice adventure for me, I loved the way they approached it and it was very useful. I love it and recommend it! :) I learned a lot! I can't wait for more to come and keep learning!

Wow what a fantastic journey it was learning about coding with SheCodes. If I can learn, you can learn. This is a great beginning course for someone who has no clue what coding is about. I feel confident. I will use what I have learned about coding and teach it to children in my childcare business. I recommend this basic course to anyone wanting to try. The workshops help and the video presentations help a lot. The information is given in many different ways. You will learn to code if you complete the assignments. I love coding! I will take more courses.

I loved this course so much. I've done so many different, "self-paced" coding courses, and not a single one of them compared to this. Everything was made so clear, and the fact that I was able to do a final project like this, from scratch, is beyond me. I have no words to express how thankful I am for SheCodes

Really enjoyed this! It was a big learning curve but I loved all the problem solving and creating I got to do.

The SheCodes Responsive workshop was the final workshop for me to take and I again really enjoyed it, combining all knowledge of previous workshops to build my own portfolio. I loved learning more about coding!

I knew I'd like coding, but I didn't realize how much I'd love it until SheCodes. I've already signed up for the next set of workshops and can't wait to learn more!

I have struggled with learning code for a while now. I came to learn about SheCodes and decided to give it a try. My love for technology and what it brings forth has been drive. The courses at SheCodes are sectioned into small and very clear videos and after every class we have a challenge giving one a chance to put into practice what they learnt. That has been really fun, quenching my thirst for learning coding and at the same time keeping me curious about what the next lesson has to bring forth. My coding skills have really improved and i believe this is the begin of something great and I am happy and grateful to SheCodes.

I always love new challenges and learning new stuff. With SheCodes I think I finally found a career path that makes me happy, meets my needs for the future and that I can go on with sustainably. Thank you SheCodes for providing us with these amazing workshops, and I am super excited about the next workshop!!😁

This was really fun and I have learned a lot! I would definitely recommend this course if you have an interest in coding and want to see if it is something for you. Everything was easy to access and had very good explanations to follow along and come back to if you could not remember it all. Very nice pace too. Loved it!😍

I recommend this course. I really love the way/the method of representing educational materials. It's simple for understanding and it's presenting practical thing/knowledge.

This was an amazing experience! Matt was a wonderful teacher and explained how to code in a way that I could understand. I love that students have access to the SheCodes staff and support from other "SheCoders". Learning to code can be overwhelming initially, like learning a new language. It's totally worth the effort though. I've created something that I'm proud of, and I learned skills that I can use now or in the future.

I really enjoyed this introductory workshop - it's given me real insight and experience into how to put together html, javascrcipt and CSS. The lessons were very engaging, and I loved the little challenges!

I love it! I do notice that it does get a little bit more challenging as we move week after week but nevertheless, I really enjoy learning coding! I am a seasoned Digital Marketer. I work a lot with dev teams on website development from UX/UI stand point so knowing coding will benefit my career greatly! 🥳 <- that's my favorite emoji BTW.

This course helped me become more comfortable with coding. I love that I was able to work at my own pace and learned so much! This was a great experience and I have now built on my basic skills and can continue to learn more new things. Thank you, Matt and SheCodes team!

SheCodes is fantastic. I attended the basic course, which offered step-by-step tutorials on creating a web page. The lessons were clear, simple, and very helpful. I especially love the way Mr. Delac teaches.

I've tried other coding courses before, and I can 100% say this is the one where I understood most and felt the desire to finish. It's fun, the community is awesome, and the teacher is great! Also, the radio keeps you focused and energized! Loved the music selection! Would 10/10 recommend SheCodes!

I had a great time with SheCodes and the workshop! Before joining SheCodes, I thought coding was a hard skill to learn and that I would never be able to accomplish anything like it. I joined the free lesson on a whim, not thinking I would complete the actual workshop, but once I started... I loved every minute of it!

Finished my third SheCodes Workshop since December 2021. This one was by far my favorite! I loved learning how to make pages responsive and how to check that a page looks good on mobile devices. I think it is so helpful for any projects moving forward.

This program was so fun! I had no clue about coding and especially not if it was something one could enjoy, however, after this course I love it! It was so easy to learn with the step-by-step videos, and when there was something I didn't understand, I got on Slack and got help almost immediately. Can't wait to start the next course!

I continued to enjoy these responsive workshops thanks to Matt's teaching style, in particular the way he breaks topics down into smaller parts to help you build a well thought out project! I love the freedom in the projects to come up with something completely your own. Bring on react!

This workshop has been my favorite yet! I love working with JavaScript React; it has so much potential. I was a bit intimidated going in as I heard JavaScript React is hard. However, Matt has excellent and easy-to-follow explanations. Matt makes things easy to grasp. I love React and want to keep learning more. Building in React is the best!!!!

I am so happy that I decided to continue on in SheCodes plus. I have loved getting into advanced JS and can't wait to learn more. I am beyond excited for React!

SheCodes Plus was so fun!! I love the approach of everything; pacing feels wonderful during these 8 weeks, learning and grouping the lessons into the next steps made me feel mentally ready to learn more, and I felt so comfortable learning each lesson. I'm still in awe and disbelief knowing how much everyone (especially Matt) has to remember to make the program work. Thank you! I cannot wait for the next workshop!!

This Responsive workshop was by far my favorite course. I loved learning how to make the website responsive and it brought many "aha" moments from previous courses. I couldn't help but smile every time I made something work and while learning new techniques. Thanks Matt & SheCodes team!

I had very little experience with coding before taking the SheCodes Basics Workshop. SheCodes made it so fun to learn and their lessons felt very accessible for a beginner like me. Even when I felt overwhelmed trying to solve a problem I knew I had been given the basic tools to find the answer. I also loved the tips and tricks I learned. Definitely recommend SheCodes!

Matt explained each topic in a concise way. The videos are short but I don't feel like there's anything missing honestly! I'd recommend the course to anyone wanting to learn the basics of html, css and javascript and I'll definetly come back for the next course as well. I absolutely loved the little homeworks after each video and I thoroughly enjoyed the project in the end as well.

This was my 3rd SheCodes workshop and I loved it! The final project was so much fun and so useful. I was able to make a multiple pages website responsive and create a portfolio I can update and use to share my work! Really looking forward to learn React.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course and learning React with Matt! I just completed my SheCodes Plus course and I absolutely loved it. It was very challenging but I do love a good challenge! I enjoyed every lesson and I am super Proud to have created my very first Weather App! I highly recommend the course for any girl out there that wants to learn how to code

I felt like I was in a rut during my first year of teaching so I began exploring other options. Many jobs were looking for experience in HTLM and JavaScript. After taking the free SheCodes course, I signed up for the basic 3-week program. I was challenged like never before and loved working through the problems to find a solution. I loved the Basics Workshop, and I am excited to continue learning about code with SheCodes! It is such a useful skill to have and the feeling of being able to create (in this case, a landing page), is amazing. Although I am a beginner, the Workshop didn't feel overwelming because every class is build perfectly on top of the previous one. The SheCodes community is also very positive and welcoming. It is great to be connected to other women around the world and to support each other during our SheCodes journey!

I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes Basics. I needed something to spark my brain and this is it! I have no background in the tech world whatsoever, but I am excited to dive in. The lessons were very informative and self paced, which I loved because I did need to step away a few times. I was always nervous about signing up for an online class for coding because I was worried that the content wouldn't be thorough enough and I wouldn't be able to get support after I made my purchase. After attending the free information session that Matt gave, I felt like SheCodes was a trustworthy organization. For the price of the course, I was so surprised at how in-depth each lesson was and I loved getting the validation of a real human checking my homework and letting me know I was doing everything right; that is something that worried me with other courses — nobody would be able to confirm if I was actually learning the material correctly. Matt is easy to follow along with and does a great job articulating his thought process and clarifying when something could be easily confused. I think the price of this course in contrast to what's provided proves that Matt created these courses with the intention to make this industry more accessible to women, not to get rich.

This course is so easy to follow that you can start and stop without worrying about messing up your progress. The lessons are broken down into very digestible pieces of information and you can move through them very quickly. I love the function to speed up the videos for when I just need to review one part. I would recommend this course to anyone even remotely interested in coding!

SheCodes is great for hands-on + visual learning. The way the classes are structured makes it easy to follow along and the material is digestible. I loved the courses and having homework at the end of the week it allowed for true flexibility. I know from this workshop I'm well on my way to being an amazing web-developer!

I love the way lessons are delivered in a highly interactive way, which really motivates me to learn and put new knowledge into practice right afterwards!

I really loved SheCodes Basic! I was a complete beginner, having never coded before. I was convinced it was something that only math wizards could do. Turns out that isn't the case.

I followed SheCodes basics course and loved it! The course is extremely well structured and takes you step by step so you never feel overwhelmed by too much information at once.

I loved taking this workshop! It made programming easy for me and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get started with programming!

I really loved this workshop! While I knew some of the basics, I still felt like this workshop was paramount in giving me the proper foundation to continue on to the other ones and be successful. It is truly amazing the amount of progress it si possible to do when you have a good teacher like Matt who is precise and meticulous and is able to demystify code so well. Two months ago, I knew nothing about coding and now I just finished building a functional weather app! I also love to be part of the SheCodes school who is enabling so many women all over the world! I've always put off learning to code; it always seemed complex and unattainable. I decided to leap into the dark waters; now, I don't even know what I was scared of. I loved learning in a stress-free setting, and the content was pretty straightforward. It was challenging, but it was also a confidence boost that was enjoyable! WHO KNEW I would love Coding?

Best decision I have made this year! SheCodes took my love for tech to a whole new level. I love a challenge and finding the solution; with coding it makes finding the solution even more full-filling. I am excited to keep on my path of understanding the coding languages and have new career opportunities to go into. The videos break everything down super simple which makes learning easy. They're also broken down into small clips and challenges which really helps for people with short attention spans or constant distractions. I really loved this class and all the resources that comes with it such as Slack, Color Palettes, and more. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in learning coding.
