This workshop was able to distill down the fundamentals of Javacript, CSS, and HTML in a way that was accessible and easy to learn through the pragmatic practice of creating a weather app! I feel not only do I understand those elements better than I did before, but also knowing how to use them in tandem with APIs has been a huge differentiator in my learning and understanding. I appreciate the structure that the schedule provides to help stay on track, but am extremely grateful for being able to use extensions also when life got in a little wonky in the middle.
This course was extremely helpful in learning the basics to coding. The instructor Matt was very detailed and elaborate when teaching. I especially loved the challenges after every lesson and the resources SheCodes provides if you need help or get stuck.
I wanted to learn a new skill and challenge my capabilities. Coding has allowed me to be patient with my mistakes until I get something right, problem-solve, and think logically as well. This has been an interesting 3 weeks of trial and error, learning and challenging myself even outside of the SheCodes platform. Everything is explained in layman terms to better understand what each code does and how it can be implemented into what one is trying to build. One thing i like about the SheCodes community is how fast they respond once you send a message in need of assistance. Not only do the technical team respond, but the other ladies in the program also respond if they are able to assist. I would definitely recommend to someone who wants to learn how to code. Definitely excited to learn more and build more projects.
This was a great add-on course to the basic learnings of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It was especially fun to try and code at the same time as the learning videos for the project (assignment) for this course. This was a great way to test my understanding of what was being done, and see if I have found other ways to do reach the same solution.

Repetition is key! Be not afraid to watch the videos multiple times. I take a nap after and then it all clicks. Being good at this is not an overnight skill. The journey is never-ending. Through this course, I see that I have a lot to learn. This was beyond fun and I enjoyed it.

The SheCodes React workshop was an insightful & challenging learning experience regarding modern web development libraries. During the course, I acquired knowledge of the intricacies of React.js including states, conditional rendering & API integration; navigating the complexities of React has also provided me with the opportunity to become technically proficient in aspects such as code refactoring to produce simplified, clean code.
Even though I took my time with the add-on, I learned to look after the details and go over again and again to find mistakes myself. It is the best way to learn!

I really enjoyed building this landing page, where we learned to apply advanced techniques like CSS Filters, CSS Hero styling, HTML tables and Embeds as well as pure CSS grids and CSS responsive grids. Building a fully responsive website without using frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind, felt enormously empowering. Thanx to SheCodes and Matt Delac for another grand workshop.

I learned how to make a beautiful portfolio site with multiple working pages. On this site you can see an overview of all the projects I have been working on. I really like it and I am proud of the final result.
It took me a while to decide what path to take, I really wanted a change in my life but I was not sure where to start and what would be good for me. I've been thinking for long time about joining a course like this but I didn't have any clue on how things were working. After I decided to enrol, I found these three weeks so easy to understand and get really on board with what was explained to me so far. Every single lesson was really interesting to follow and very well explained, I received a lot of support when it was needed and I couldn't be happier of the decision I took to join. I strongly believe I found something that keeps me motivated and wanting to learn more and more in order for me to finally change my career and do something I enjoy on daily basis.

The Basics Add-On project was fun. I enjoyed it, it was something I had wanted to learn since the beginning. I will be using these codes on my final projects for sure.

I have zero background in the tech industry but after seeing the wonderful work life balance it has offered my husband, I became interested. I was scared to switch from something I am just getting comfortable with (nursing) and going to the complete polar opposite end. It really is like learning a new language but Matt and his SheCodes team have done a wonderful job of fitting it into bite sized pieces and offering enough opportunities to practice that you will in fact start speaking the language! It's a lot of fun. The best way I can describe it is being in an art class that asks you to replicate, or create, a piece of art with whatever means you know to get to it and its a puzzle! No one code is the same but the end product is very similar.
