So far, SheCodes has been a great program to learn, apply, and execute effective coding practices using standard workplace coding software, VS Code! I enjoy that classes are self paced, allowing me to work on challenges and projects on my own time. They also provide various resources aside from Google, such as the Slack channel, to assist me whenever I'm stuck while coding!
This workshop has been challenging but I feel confident in what I've learnt and am excited to continue my journey in the tech field, armed with the skills and insights gained from this experience.

It was a great learning experience. The concepts were explained to me well, in short lessons, which made it easy for me to understand. The tasks/challenges helped me apply the knowledge I gained from the video, which also helped me retain what I learnt from each lesson.

I love this project-based learning approach. You can see the real-life application of what you are building, which makes it more fun to learn more about other features that you add to make it better. Google anything you don't know or remember 😆. Creating this App with friends in mind made it even more fun to learn.

An ex airline staff, a mother of 3 with a long career gap wanted to pursue my career by doing a transition to IT. Learning React is not easy. It takes a lot of practice and understanding. I was learning it while doing my freelance work. The great thing is it is very flexible, timewise.
As an older learner, I began this course with some trepidation as I remember a time before the internet! Fortunately, Matt's excellent step by step instructions helped me to understand how a page is built, what works and why. I am eager to learn more now that I comprehend the basics.
It's been a wonderful three weeks, I feel extremely honored to be a part of the shecodes community. I have learned a lot in the last three weeks, and I must say that the SheCodes foundation has increased my confidence in my coding skills.

I loved SheCodes Basics. The short learning videos are almost always accompanied by a practical exercise so it makes it really hands on. I liked that the videos are to-the-point, concise and don't go in too much details. It's not a 3-hour long lecture : after 15min, you're actually getting your hands dirty and learning actionable stuff! For me, it was the reassuring phrases from Matt like "don't worry, nothing's going to explode, it's just not good practice to do it like this" or "this might be confusing but do it like this for now and it'll all come together in the next video" or "ok, this is a hard exercise but you can do it and don't forget the community and tools that can help you" and of course : "Happy coding!".
This add-on was a very cool project to work on. The SheCodes courses has been so engaging and helpful to learn.

It's all new for me, it's a great challenge that is often frustrating, but on the other hand, it is very motivating when you see what you have created. I am starting off with absolutely no knowledge of coding whatsoever, coming into this I did a TON of research on courses, what's best to take, and why it's better than the others when I fell upon She Codes. The first thing that stood out to me was the free introduction video, I like to know what I am getting into and how the course will benefit me and I have to say the video truly gave me a lot of insight and was what convinced me to finally go for my dream and take that step. It took me over 2 years to begin, and here I am graduating from SheCodes Basic, and I feel like all that research and work is paying off. I learned basic skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript and I feel that I am ready to move onto the next phase in order to work towards my goal of working as a full stack developer.

A great start in web development, you learn all the basic information you need to build your project. I found it great how it helps you visualize what the development process is like, as well as what to expect while learning. All errors faced in development were also handled and were not cut from the video, which helped me know how to handle issues that are inevitable while coding.
