I was initially worried about diving into coding, thinking it might be too tough for me. But TheBasic workshop is well organized, with easy-to-follow explanations and challenging exercises that make you practice what you have just learned. The final project is just plain fun!

Learning React was a transformative experience. At first, the concept of components and the virtual DOM seemed abstract, but as I delved deeper into tutorials and documentation, things started to click. Building my first React application was both challenging and exhilarating. Each new concept I grasped, from state management to JSX syntax, opened up new possibilities for what I could create. As I gained confidence in React, I found myself thinking more in terms of components, breaking down UIs into reusable and composable parts. This modular approach not only made my code more maintainable but also accelerated my development process. Overall, learning React was a journey of discovery and growth. It challenged me to think differently about web development and empowered me to build dynamic, interactive user interfaces with ease.

SheCodes plus was a very challenging workshop but i learnt to be patient and perseverance, hoping to learn more with SheCodes.
Enjoyed this workshop and was useful to learn how to build a responsive page using HTML and CSS rather than inserting Bootstrap. It was the first time I used the Figma template to build the website and that made me feel like a "proper" developer! Lots to learn in this two-week course but an enjoyable ride :)
I've been thinking about switching careers, and I came across SheCodes by chance. I've always enjoyed coding, but I've struggled to find clear information online and often felt lost trying to learn on my own. Luckily, SheCodes offers a complete course at a reasonable price compared to other options. While it was tough at times and I had to search for extra help online during the course, I managed to create my first project: a small webpage that I'm really proud of! I cannot believe how far I've come with SheCodes. It gets better with each passing day. I am a far better developer than when I was busy with only HTML and CSS, just starting off. I learned so much, and even though there is still a long way to go, I feel very confident now. It seems hard at first, but it does get better with time. I look at my project and I truly cannot believe that I built that. As the late Nelson Mandela would say, "It always seems impossible until it is done". This whole testimony stays true to those words that you cannot be afraid of a stone that you have not yet moved. I cannot wait to expand and sharpen my knowledge in the Tech Space!!

Again it was a workshop where I learned valuable skills. I also could practice the techniques I learned in previous courses. It is rewarding to see the AI poem generator coming to life and providing the user with funny content ;) The hardest part for me was to describe the context in a way that would make AI deliver expected results. This was sometimes a bit annoying, because I already felt that the content provided was extremely detailed, plus I followed the guidance of Matt. So definetely a lot of patience may be necessary to test out ideas. Maybe it comes with more experience. All in all I liked the workshop and I am looking forward to the next courses.

Starting to see growth in how I approach building a responsive website from scratch, thanks to this add-on course. I would say I have learned to be more creative in finding solutions to problems in responsiveness. However, sometimes it is not necessary to reinvent the wheel, or replace all existing code, simply adding a class or id will do the trick. :)
I have learnt so much about coding with SheCodes, the lessons are really taught carefully and with everyone in mind. It is made simple so that everyone and anyone can understand.

Enrolling in the coding course was one of the best decisions I've made, even though it was challenging at times, the hands-on approach allowed me to immediately apply what I learned, boosting my confidence and proficiency in coding.
Another amazing session has ended. Honestly wowed by the teaching methods and techniques. I was able to learn advanced techniques in Html, Css and JavaScript and also integration of APIs. The lessons learned on this course were very instructive, and I found that taking notes on any additional descriptive information I would wish to record while coding is typically very useful, especially for java script.

SheCodes has fundamentally, through this journey afforded me the gift and the opportunity to develop and gain an extensive understanding of web development. Websites and various software applications are no longer taken at face-value. It has been an amazing experience, I enjoyed every part of it but that does not mean it was not challenging. The most challenging part for me has to be the CSS grids part since it was new to me but I eventually got the hang of it. SheCodes is an amazing learning platform.

A good build-up from the basic course. You learn a bit more in-depth from what was learned in the basic course, and a bit more about grid and the spacings within. I learned something new about fractional units which I didn't know about before. Matt, as usual, explained very well with examples so it's easier to figure out.
I must say, SheCodes have changed my life. Never thought I would be able to code a full website. I am very excited to keep going and learn more and more. I would recommend to anyone. Matt's way to explain is very clear and straight to the point. Would not change anything. Cant wait to improve my skills with Phyton now.
Taking the 'Introduction to Coding' course was really fun! I was surprised at how easy it was to follow, even though I didn't know anything about coding before. The way they taught each lesson made it interesting and easy to understand. By the end of the course, I felt like I knew a lot more about coding and was excited to learn more. I am so overwhelmed with gratitude and joy to have been able to receive this opportunity. SheCodes plus has been a wild ride and I mean this in the best way. I was challenged, though as a firm believer of how greater obstacles bring with them the most growth, its safe to say, I learnt a lot.
I have enjoyed making and learning more about coding.
Where lies my heart you might ask? That's simple: growth. Every time I look back, I would like to see a difference. The skills I acquired yesterday must have increased by the next month or two or at least improved. I am not afraid of challenges and neither am I afraid of not knowing. The eagerness to learn stems from the confidence of being able to say out loud "I don't know." So, I don't know what I don't know but I would like to know that which I don't know... Something that echoes in my mind a lot said by @Zakhele Mofolo in one of the conversations we have had is : " It's easy to apply for certificates, but getting yourself to finish them is another task on it's own." With these words embedded in my mind, I refuse to start a race and not finish it. I would rather come out last knowing I finished what I started. I refuse to be a quitter because quitting is easy. I want to keep going because an obstacle passed is always an inspirational and motivational story to the next person. Comparing now to then, I have learnt a lot and I could not be more grateful to be seen as one of the SheCodes students. SheCodes definitely shaped me in becoming, presently I can confidently say I am a front-end developer. The road from here continues because learning never ceases. If you keep going, what do you have to lose?

I had joined the She Codes workshop earlier this year and it has been a total eye-opener. The experience has been inspiring in the sense that i was able to learn and challenge myself and what i thought were my limitations. Despite my initial apprehensions, what started of as curiosity and an attempt to get out my comfort zone ,is proving to be a journey of personal growth and purpose. There were times i felt intimidated and way over my head ,but because of the way the lessons were structured i was able to understand , whilst having zero prior experience or knowledge in coding. Matt and his team's supportive approach and the warm atmosphere they created made it easier for me to engage and participate. Because the workshop is self-paced, i felt less pressured by time, the Slack app was a great platform to engage with other students so i didn't feel alone , even the She Codes Athena AI was a great tool for me and other introverts alike. It is truly all-inclusive. For that i would like to show my gratitude to Matt Delac and the She Codes family for allowing me the opportunity learn and grow ,She Codes has become my start, the foundation in my journey and its' a great way to start truly, I recommend She Codes ,more especially if you are like me, unsure of most things in life, self-doubting but curious and driven. You get more than just learning how to code, you get a feel of support .

Learning React was much harder than everything else I learned in these workshops. The lessons were very structured and straightforward. I did need to go back and watch the videos twice just to make sure I was doing it right, but overall, a huge stepping stone into front-end development.

Learning web responsive was a bit of a challenge and it still is but with more practice I'll get better and better and better.I am so proud of myself for everything that I have archived so far and here's to many more achievements.

I am so happy that I have finally been able to learn how to get data from APIs using Ajax. The Plus coding class has been amazing although it got to a point where I became stuck, I kept on pushing and finally, I overcame it. Thankyou SheCodes. Thank you Matt Delac.

This add-on project was super challenging but every lesson Matt gave us before this project helped me to problem solve and find my way through this one! It boosted my confidence when it comes to figuring out something I am not 100% proficient in. I do recommend this add-on as the more projects, the more you learn 🌱
