The lessons are short and crisp, which is great. The ability to rewind and replay is really helpful. I especially like the community feeling created through the active Slack platform. However, the videos sometimes feel too spontaneous, as if the instructor wasn't fully prepared. I would have appreciated a clear overview at the beginning - a brief explanation of the course components and structure. Despite these points, the course offers valuable insights and learning opportunities.

A good introduction to using AI, but I had been hoping that we would learn more about creating the AI itself.

Since I begun my career in software development, Shecodes has been of very much help as a "learn beforehand at your own pace" tool. I've previously tried some frontend coding tutorials and I never managed to get out of tutorial hell and actually make something on my own. With the SheCodes workshops I felt that I actually understood how to code for the first time. I can now create something on my own using a code editor. I finally understand how HTML, CSS and JavaScript work together. It might feel overwhelming at first, but every coder was once a beginner. Every bug you solve, every new concept you learn, it’s all progress. And that feeling when your code finally works? It’s unbeatable.
I learned so much in this workshop! I also was having fun. Matt has done such a good job laying out the lesson plan which makes each week strategically build upon the next. I nailed down a system in this workshop where I do a bit of coding each day so that I don't have gaps in my learning stream. One day gets stacked on top of the next day and I am able to grasp each new concept more readily because of my constant contact with the material and code. I give the workshop 10/10!

Prompt engineering explanation was very valuable! I understood the concept of integrating with an API but prompt engineering was new to me. This add-on showed me the importance of learning this topic and how to engineer in such a way to achieve the specific result you are looking for.

Would honestly recommend SheCodes basics to anyone wishing to learn how to code - there is no other course out there that explains coding in a way that is easy to follow. Being able to develop my Python skills and learnt how I can extract data from a CSV file to read population data by continent and year, whilst using Python dictionaries to organise and store the data. The final project allowed me to create a visual graph with Matplotlib's pyplot to show population trends across continents. The final project demonstrates practical application of Python skills in data handling and visualisation. Looking forward to using what I've learnt into my work.

I had a lot of fun learning advanced concepts in Python. Matt is a wonderful instructor and the SheCodes team does a great job at providing help when needed.
