SheCodes was great! The lessons were easy to understand and the challenges were just enough to learn without being overwhelming.
I really felt like I learned quite a bit, definitely took patience, concentration, determination, and let's face there were occasional times it took a few choice words. Still, it was a lot of fun and a lot of work and I am excited to learn more and continue on my journey!
SheCodes React was an awesome way to complete the SheCodes experience. Thankful for the supportive community on Slack - I am excited to weave the skills I've learned with SheCodes into the next part of my journey.

Even though I spent a significant time among software engineers, I have always thought that coding is for people who are excellent in Math. SheCodes Plus is incredibly rewarding, even with some of its difficult moments. Just like in SheCodes Workshop, Matt continues to break down complex concepts in simple and straightforward lessons. The modules are designed with challenges and assignments that make you apply what you have just learned right away. If anything is ever unclear, there is always Matt's solution videos or wonderful JoΓ£o on Slack to help you! I look forward to learning React in the next workshop!

SheCodes is exactly what I was hoping for in a coding course. Each lesson is structured in a clear and interesting way, with great explanations provided by Matt Delac. I had a lot of fun learning and look forward to continuing my journey!
The learning curve in this workshop was incredible! No question left unanswered thanks to the lovely post challenge solution videos, which are always reassuring after some of the most challenging moments. Feels unreal to have coded all this project when a few weeks ago i had no clue about anything. There are still some areas I would like to improve in my projects but thanks to this workshop I actually feel capable of doing so!
The structure of the lessons are in a logical order and easy to follow. It's impressive how easy I could learn to code basic things within some days & that this "magic field" is not as difficult as I thought. I highly recommend everyone to try this workshop, if you want to get to know a bit more about coding.
I've spent a couple of months searching for a coding workshop before coming across SheCodes. There was a 1 hour workshop offered by SheCodes for FREE which I signed up for and learnt soo much from π It was from there that I knew that SheCodes was the right workshop for me! The level of detail to the mini-challenges provided for each lesson makes sure you put into practice everything you are learning, and the Slack channel with such an active community is definitely an added bonus π€©

I think the hardest part was trying to build out HTML & CSS for the weather app. Since you're not utilizing a template. Learning to implement API for real-world data & forecast was super fun and challenging. Would definitely recommend this to get your feet wet with coding.
I couldn't express how happy I am ending this workshop and knowing what I achieved, when I had no knowledge about coding at all. Totally recommend SheCodes for anyone trying to learn how to code! So looking forward for a chance to code on my everyday basis.

Great course to get a first introduction to coding. You learn quite a lot in a short amount of time. Because the course is split up in short lessons, it is very easy to follow.

SheCodes Plus was a real challenge. I learned a lot and the support from teachers was great. The course material was really good to create a simple project. When I tried to make my project more complex, I found the help I needed through the slack channel.

I would highly recommend SheCodes! I enjoy analytical and puzzle solving tasks, and out of interest took up learning basic code in my free time, where a passion was sparked! I love seeing the immediate products of inputting code correctly vs incorrectly, and fully controlling the output of my work. The SheCodes beginners workshops have been a great kick-start and enabled me to build on and make greater sense of some of my initial knowledge.
I cannot even put into words how this experience has changed my outlook on the direction I want my career to take and what a great boost it has given to my confidence levels. I have always viewed Tech industry as a dark horse that is very exciting but also scary and unreachable at the same time. After learning coding basics from the free class (hey, I thought I have nothing to lose but an hour of my time π ) and seeing how many women completed the workshops, I thought to myself, "If they can do it, surely so can I!". So I did and absolutely loved it, not only I discovered that coding ideally suits my personality and mindset, but also that I'm pretty much into the design side of things. Matt and the team provide a very safe and supportive learning environment where things are well explained and provide you with plenty of opportunities to practice yourself. All the classes were easy to follow and Matt is a great teacher! He explains in a nice, easy way, and I could definitely start understanding a lot of things that I've always seen people around me talking about - yeah, working in Advertisement and Design and not knowing this, you're a fish out of water! That was quite a ride! Right off the bat, I can say that Iβm not mastering React (yet), but I can ensure that these weeks of learning React were a great start to put myself into this learning process. I like how recorded lessons were raw and that Matt showed the whole process (without editing it out) and the challenges he was facing along the way. One thing Iβd love to see in the future is more courses for different project types. I really enjoyed the process of working on my SheCodes Plus Project. I was able to use all that I learned in my two workshops to make something impressive! This was a great way to commit all that I learned to my memory in a fun and effective way.
I never taught I could even learn coding! But Shescodes and MattΒ΄s detailed lessons are so good that it becomes any easy task. I loved that the videos are all very shorts, and give you the opportunity to practice what you just learned right away. It has been a great workshop and IΒ΄m definitely in for the Shecodes Plus. Trust me, coding is FUN!

I have been wanting to learn to code for a couple of years. After struggling to find time for other services, I found success with SheCodes. It's structured to give me something to work on each week.
I applied for this workshop because I was curious to understand how websites are made and how they work and also because I wanted to learn more about programming with JavaScript.
This workshop gave me the opportunity to learn about coding at my own pace and the lessons were easy to follow and understand. I would recommend it to anyone who is curious about what coding entails.
I've had so many "false starts" learning how to code from various different sources and eventually came to the conclusion I just couldn't do it. SheCodes changed that! The clear, bite-size instruction videos, example code snippets, challenges and homework tasks are such a great way to see progress and make it all feel manageable and achievable. I cannot stop raving about this course! I was so nervous that my terrible maths would stand in the way of my completing it, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Matt explains everything really thoroughly and at a pace that's really easy to keep up with. The only thing I felt perhaps needed a bit more explanation was JavaScript as, at times, the challenges were a bit more advanced than had been explained in the lessons, which got me in a bit of a flap. On the whole though, the best learning experience (online or in-person) I've ever had! Merci beaucoup, Matt! π

The past 3 weeks have been so much fun! I never knew coding could be so easy to learn. This course has REALLY subverted my expectation of what coding would be like. I am generally very artsy and love to be creative and this provided me with a wonderful creative outlet, as well as such useful tools for marketing and building websites. In only 3 weeks I was able to do something I always thought to be near to impossible, code my own (basic) website including the use of HTML, CSS and Javascript. It was a lot of fun to learn the basic principles of coding. Yes, you need to invest some time, but it was really worth it and also a lot of fun!
I was looking to start my journey onto programming and when SheCodes popped up on my Instagram I knew what I had to do and I couldn't be happier and couldn't recommend it more! The lessons are super short and easy to follow, you practice every single thing you learn and you get to really get into the basics of coding. I couldn't be happier to have started my coding journey with SheCodes.
I had a fun challenge learning React. I really learned a lot. I'm sad the course is over for me as there is so much more to learn still, but this course has been an amazing kickstart for my coding journey.
I tried many different online coding courses but none of them were as engaging as SheCodes. The fact that we have a community on Slack is an added bonus because you get to see fellow SheCoders like you learn and figure out the tasks given. I especially like the fact that we are given a project at the end of the workshop for you to test your skills from the lessons. Would definitely recommend!
Really enjoyed learning the beginner stages of coding. Very informative and the hands on approach is great, as it allows you to understand your mistakes and do it yourself.

I didn't expect to learn so much from this course! Having zero background into coding, I was pleasantly surprised how much I picked up. Matt was easy to understand and turned the lessons into easy to grasp concepts that I was able to remember. The homework was both challenging and enjoyable, and a good mix of tutorials vs. self learning ( I googled so much items!) Thanks for a great introduction into coding, I feel I can understand computers better now :)
If I could go back in time and tell myself not to waste any second and start learning to code... then I wouldn't know about SheCodes and I wouldn't enjoy all of my achievements as much as I did. This has been a pretty challenging but also fantastic experience. I also understand that it's just the beginning of my coding journey and wish it to be wonderful and full of excitement to myself and every SheCodes alumni!

The 3-week-workshop by SheCodes was the best way for me to approach HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The course is entertaining, fun and you feel extremely satisfied at the end of each assignment. It is suitable for anyone who doesn't have any knowledge on coding and it is incredible how fast you learn. I fully recommend it to start your coding journey π

As I started from zero, it was three weeks really interesting. I found the courses really well build as all the homework and exercices were properly design to ensure us to apply immediately what we have just learn !
SheCodes Plus has been very challenging for me, but I have enjoyed every single minute of it. I have learnt so many things and went from zero knowledge in coding to build my own web page. The team is amazing and very supportive!

As an SEO Specialist, I'm pretty familiar with HTML elements since I'm optimizing those every day. But to learn how to build a landing page myself - that's huge! Now I know that the best developers are the ones who also understand SEO and vice versa! π

I was planning to do this workshop for a year and I am more than glad to have the chance to be part of this. I went to a Technological School when I was a teenager and graduated in IT but at that time, because a lot of reasons, I just hated it. But now I see it in a completely different way and I love it! SheCodes Workshop helped me to reminder what I've learned in the past and made me start to love coding! I will definitely join the other courses!
I am so glad that I took part in the 3-week-workshop. I learned a lot during the last weeks and I feel that it suits my Master's studies in Marketing really well. Another great workshop by the SheCodes team, React is challenging but Matt breaks it down and makes learning it enjoyable.
The lessons are easy to follow and focus on small sections so you aren't overwhelmed. The weekly homeworks and mini challenges are great to cement what you've learnt in your mind. Would definitely recommend!

The way I've always felt about coding would be the same as trying to catch a moving train: a rush of information in constant change and many different languages to make your choice of learning extremely overwhelming. The way SheCodes is structured makes the train move in a slower-but-steady pace, so you can learn on your own time how to code and feel confident that you too can become a coder. Amidst all of this, I'd say the best part about the workshop is the Slack community that helps you through doubts and mistakes you couldn't catch yourself. The members are extremely nice and helpful which made me feel like my questions weren't too basic or simple. Thank you SheCodes team and members for the wonderful learning experience!

This course was both super challenging and satisfying. It's been so fun learning the basics of coding and even though it can be frustrating, once you figure out the issues and make it work, it's the best feeling!
As a true example of a coding and IT newbie (bear w me, I studied art), I never really thought I would be capable of creating a website... and then came SheCodes! The two weeks working with Matt's lessons have been eyeopening and as much as I learned so many new things, I genuinely started to enjoy coding, researching about coding and learning independently. Would recommend to everyone - merci et Γ la prochaine! <3
I chose 3 out of 5 for this product for a few different reasons. Some of the reasons I will list have a positive and a negative side to them. I am continuing on to complete the Plus and React courses as well, but the Workshop has set the tone for me in regards to expectations from SheCodes. POSITIVES: (1) SheCodes will help me reach a decent skill level in coding languages and software that are brand new to me. (2) The instructor provides good resources for you to further your knowledge [on your own]. (3) You can learn most of this information for FREE online, but the key to SheCodes is the packaging. You would have a difficult time finding a similar course that includes infrastructure, support and accountability. In my opinion, that is where SheCodes SHINES and is the primary benefit of learning code through this platform. NEGATIVES: (1) While the instructor points you in the right direction to helpful resources, I feel that SheCodes should also provide reference materials within the program (material created by SheCodes). The documentation for each lesson is helpful but it is inconvenient to hunt down, for example, how to properly code an event listener in JavaScript after I have moved on from that lesson. Also, the documentation for topics were introduced too early or too late. There were a few times where I remember watching the video then viewing the documentation and seeing concepts that had yet to be discussed in the videos - which also makes it harder to hunt down documentation later on while working on the project. (2) In the same vein, I also wish that there was actual documentation. The documentation included are examples at best, but I feel with the cost of the program, there should be accompanying text. Personally, I grasp concepts so much better when I can read something through. I understand you learn code by doing it, but I should have the option to read and understand why, for example, I have to change an image display to block if I want to center it on the webpage. The instructor videos VERY LIGHTLY scratch the surface of each language, and I feel that I deserve WAY more out of SheCodes for the cost. I still have 2 more sessions of SheCodes so maybe I will find more value along the way. CONCLUSION: SheCodes has good packaging but it only gets 3 stars from me, because I will still have to find and/or create my own reference materials to retain the skills I've learned. I am continuing on to SheCodes Plus then React, so I am excited to keep learning (especially so quickly)! However, I fear this will only amount to three INTRODUCTORY courses that I overpaid for.
Knowing nothing about coding, I decided to try SheCodes Workshop. Everything is 100% remote. SheCodes Team gives all the necessary knowledge and provides great support on Slack! I highly recommend learning more with SheCodes. π
I am really glad I joined the course, it not only taught me a new coding language but also gave me an opportunity to learn how to modify the existing code and make it cleaner. I am very happy with the way my final project turned out.
I love the workshop. In the beginning, I was scared of not being able to understand but it was a nice and smooth way to get close to the programming concept and techniques. As you start learning you get more excited and you want to learn more.
