Challenging but fun! Though it's online learning, I always managed to get the help I needed if I was stuck on something. I never thought I would be able to create my own weather app! The lessons were in bitesized videos so it's easy to digest and can go back if I needed to refer back to anything. Thanks SheCodes team, I can't wait to learn more!

As an art professional I've always been intrigued by beautiful and innovative webdesign. Never in a million years did I expect that I would be able to understand, let alone create code myself. This experience has been incredible! This was my first time ever learning to code and I loved it! It's so fun creating from nothing and trying to find mistakes and their solutions. The only thing I would change would be to make the workshop more demanding.

Learning how to code has been on my mind for a long time now. As an UX Expert I deal with web-based solutions every day and always wanted to be able to understand the developers better. It was really hard for me to find the right approach to the world of coding. Then I came across SheCodes and gave it a try. It was the best thing I could do, because it gave me the best opportunity to take my first steps and comprehend what coding really means. The course is so well structured and so focussed on practicing your newly achieved skills. Most importantly: it's so much fun! I can't wait to continue my journey.
I enjoyed the workshop (of the 3 weeks) very much overall, of course I had moments of frustration along the way because sometimes it was a lot of new things to learn and memorize and it does takes self discipline to make it to the end, but every learning process comes with frustrations and trial and error this is the nature of learning things. So I think once you understand and accept that it becomes less hard and challenging. Overall I am very glad I took this workshop because I find certain things about coding now pretty interesting and I realized how much it is being used in so many things most people use nowadays. I have learned new skill which is really nice and if at any point in the future I will consider anything to do with coding at least I will know that I have some knowledge about it.

SheCodes Plus was a real challenge for me after completing the SheCodes intro workshop (no surprise there, we did dive into Javascript functions! 🤯). As someone who has never written a line of code before taking these SheCodes workshops, I am proud of myself for finishing this course with a functional project to show for it. What I liked most about SheCodes is that it allowed me to move at my own pace. I hit some road blocks, not fully understanding certain concepts as they got more advanced and wishing I had more time to process the information. The team at SheCodes was gracious about deadlines, giving me the time I needed to complete my work, and whenever I got stuck, I was able to post in the Slack channel for help. The moment when things started to click for me while working on my project, I felt so empowered and capable. I'm inspired to continue learning and to see where this road may lead me!
SheCodes was a terrific way to introduce me to the world of coding. The videos made it so easy to follow along and the assignments were very manageable. I felt like I learned so much about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within just a couple weeks!

I am finding this a good way to learn. I like the video, followed by challenges approach. I also like that we have to do some research as we go along. I feel it makes it more real world. The feedback and support is wonderful. I am happy to continue and have enjoyed it thus far.

I would really recommend this three-week workshop of SheCodes!! Matt's way of teaching is very efficient and simple so it is very easy to understand and put what you learned into action. The homework helps you put into practice what you just learned, which is great since you learn best by doing. By the time I reached my final project, I felt much more confident imagining what I wanted my page to look like and what I had to code to achieve it! It has been very fun to learn front-end coding 🤗. SheCodes Plus is a great course to learn about Front End Web Development.
I first came across SheCodes on GGI, a facebook group for women living abroad. I had always had coding in the back of my mind, ever since we learned some basic HTML during my master's degree in English Language Teaching. I love materials design and as Computer Assisted Language Learning is becoming more and more common, I loved the idea of being able to create my own webpages. I am a SAHM at the moment, so I like the format of the SheCodes workshops, since I could access the content whenever I had some peace and quiet - super useful if you have a little toddler running around. I loved every minute of it and also enjoyed all the challenges and being able to choose something unique for our final project. I will continue learning and looking forward to diving deeper into the world of Java Script.
Learned a lot this course. It was frustrating sometimes, but in the end I am really happy with how my project turned out.
The satisfaction of creating a working page is well worth the frustration getting to this point. I can't wait to dive deeper, learn more and refine my coding and workflow process.
SheCodes is a great program to start learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The instructor, Matt, is easy to understand and does a great job explaining all of the new concepts. After each lesson, you complete a challenge and practice coding. The projects are fun and really test your knowledge of the material. I am happy so far and can't wait to continue with SheCodes plus!

SheCodes is AMAZING! I've been majoring in Computer Science for over a year now, and I've been recently interested in front-end development and learning a few new languages. The workshops were the perfect place for me to get started over winter break! Matt takes things step-by-step and zooms in to explain the nitty gritty of the code. He neither makes it too long and superfluous nor too vague; it is just the right amount of explanation! In addition, you have this whole team of women around the world standing with you as a united force learning these new coding languages -- all of which are there at your disposal to help guide you and learn with you through Slack chat. Professional help is also available-- and they truly do help with whatever question or trouble you may have! (This is a unique twist from undergraduate help in college... ahaha.) Videos can be fast-forwarded 30 seconds or rewound for 30 seconds. You can always go back to previous lessons. The best part? A review of the video and significant concepts are left underneath each video. I have never encountered such a helpful platform to help me get started. Matt flawlessly lets us grow wings throughout the lessons as well so that we can find outside coding help and experiment for when we won't have a helpful guide in our future coding adventures. I recommend SheCodes to any woman interested in learning front-end development (website-building) or coding in general. What are you waiting for?

SheCodes has been first proper introduction to coding, I can't believe I've already come to the end of SheCodes Plus! This workshop has been so insightful, although it is challenging, part of the fun of coding is to play around and figure out how to improve. Using JS to create interactive elements is a skill I've always wanted to learn and this workshop has really opened my eyes to what I can create and how to code it!

Brilliant start to coding. The videos are so easy to follow along and I think Matt describes the content and instructions really well. You learn a lot over 3 weeks and the frequent challenges really help to cement that knowledge.
Very clear and objective video lessons and learning format/tool. And well explained content. Of course, at the end of the course, some topics (which are more complex) still need to be deepened and the review and continued practice is necessary, after all, a different and new content for me. But it provided a very good level to start creating independent projects!
I went from total zero to total hero in my first three weeks! I am floored at what I have learned and couldn’t be happier to have landed my two feet in this program! I am excited to continue with SheCodes-working at my own pace, stellar support from the staff, and easy to follow challenges that make me feel like a boss babe when I accomplish them! I loved SheCodes! I had a previous basic experience with HTML, but I've never done anything with JavaScript before and nonetheless I found the course very clear and easy to follow. I also really liked that Matt was explaining enough to let me learn new stuff and complete the assignments, but still giving inputs about other options and possibilities that triggered my curiosity and made me explore and try on my own. Fantastic course. Matt has broken down concepts into bite-sized chunks and demonstrates while he explains concepts, which is great if you are a visual learner. The practical challenges help to quickly solidify each topic and are fun and interesting. I found it was just the right balance of simplicity and complexity in this approach to learning to code. SheCodes taught me a lot about the fundamental pillars of code such as CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. I have been struggling to learn code on my own, but with this workshop it made complete sense! The videos were easy to follow, homework assignments were challenging, and the final project gave us creative freedom. I'll definitely be registering for SheCodes React later this year. 👾 If you're hesitant or debating between SheCodes and another workshop, I highly recommend SheCodes! It was more like a game where you had to "beat each level" before advancing. I'm a visual learner and the way Matt explained everything was perfect. I always thought coding was for guys and nerds, with this course, I found is not that hard or for special people to learn. I prove myself I can do it, I feel empowered, most of all, I'm very proud of myself to understand what is the meaning of product development; and as a project manager, I'm planning to start using this knowledge more. I believe that if we do not know how to speak digital, we'll be very behind. If you want to level up your coding skills, this will be the course to start! 😎
SheCodes was a great way to learn an introductory to coding. The 3-week college-class style format helped keep me on track and on-schedule with each lesson and the videos and projects made me practice each skill at a time and in easily digestible chunks. Overall, it was a fun and easy way to learn coding for the first time.
I absolutely loved SheCodes! Matt walked us through the basics in each video, and we had resources available via Slack 24/7 if we needed help or had questions. The challenges were engaging, fun, and filled with easy to understand information. As each week passed, the elements we learned were tied together and the framework began to make more sense. I am so glad I took the plunge and signed up! Looking forward to continuing my SheCodes journey!
I've always viewed coding as boring or too difficult to wrap my head around it. After taking this workshop I realize how creative and fun coding is! I wasn't expecting much but I found myself really enjoying the short lectures and the challenges. The help from the Slack channel was also super nice because we're a whole community sharing resources and common issues. I found myself really going out in the final project and researching different components I wanted to add. You can say I suprised myself. I'm excited to continue on to the next workshop and learning better ways to code.
The basic SheCodes workshop was a great way to learn fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and a little Javascript! It's a great foundation to discover if a longer workshop is something right for you! Easy to understand and follow.
I`ve had lots of fun with the basic workshop and I am very very happy that I`ve made the decision to start learning from SheCodes. In school I`ve already learned some coding but it was a MESS. I could barely follow up and now realised that a lot was already outdated at that time. Matt explains everything very well and the little challenges have helped me to repeat and practise what I`ve learned. Am very excited and thankful for the ongoing journey with the next workshops.
This was a great learning experience. I have watched many YouTube tutorials but this hands on workshop taught me more in just 2 weeks than any video could have taught me. I only signed up for the 3 week course because I had free time over Christmas break but I will definitely be signing up for the full 4 month course soon!!

A great intro for complete beginners on how to start learning on your own later. I had some background in css and html from teen years, but it was first time learning JavaScript. Enjoyed the course, definitely need to make some more projects to make sure to not forget the basics learnt in this course.
SheCodes Plus has been a great and challenging experience. I have developed my skills from the workshop and understand front-end web development, to the point where I can confidently recreate what I see on a web page. The team at SheCodes have been so helpful on Slack, and it is great to see other students work showcased online. I had tried to learn coding many, many years ago, but always felt unmotivated for always doing everything on the console, with no interface whatsoever. With SheCodes, I was not only able to learn many things, but also to feel motivated to do so and to explore more possibilities.
It's a great way to learn advanced front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, as well as JavaScript techniques using live API's too. While building real applications I've also learned to use Git and GitHub to manage my code and streamline the development workflow.
Matt has been a great teacher over the whole workshop. If you encounter problems, you can go to the slack community and ask for help. I tried to learn coding several times already and always failed. This is the first time I really learned how to code and that I actually had fun with it. Thanks to all the great people from SheCodes! I would highly recommend this workshop to anybody who wants to learn how to code!

SheCode was exactly the course I needed as a beginner that's looking to enter the web world, I'm a everyday dental assistant and now I feel comfortable coding. The Workshop "Introduction to Coding" is really well-structured and nicely thought. The exercises are clear and easy to follow, but also very fun to do!
