With a wealth of online coding courses out there, it's hard to know which to trust and which will be most beneficial to a complete beginner! I was looking for a hands-on, fun and ultimately not too overwhelming approach to learning code- SheCodes ticked all the boxes! Hooray.

I came into SheCodes workshop knowing without any knowledge of html, css and javascript. I really enjoyed these pass 3 weeks. I feel like I learned a lot and I just want to learn more.I really liked the videos and all the help that is offered during the workshops. I took this workshop to see if coding is something I could do and thanks to SheCodes, I know now that I can make a career change in the direction I want.

I love how the classes were divided, allowing each lesson to build on the fundamentals you are continually learning. I came to SheCodes after a careful analysis of everything the internet offered to learn coding. Matt and his method won me over: the course was pleasant, intense, and although there was so much to learn, the method used make simple topics perhaps complex for those who don't know anything about it. I would definitely do it again, and I feel I can recommend it to anyone looking for a guide to learning the beauty of coding!
I've learned about html and css in the past but this workshop really helped bring it all together. It was also a perfect introduction to javascript. Its motivating and fun to see what you can create after just a few hours!

I never thought learning code would be so fun...not easy though! Matt explains everything but you really need to commit. If you have a full time job as I, you may need to plan ahead. But for real the structure, the content and the homework is to the point, not to mention the exceptional support in Slack app. Thumbs up! π

Wow, in 2 weeks I learned more on JSS, CSS and HTML that I did in a year at high school. Can't wait to pursue this course.
I knew nothing about coding before taking this workshop, but the way it is set up is not intimidating at all! You can go at your own pace, and there is very little stress/pressure. It is all about learning the material. I feel so much more confident because of it, and I would highly recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes Workshops and I am glad I've signed up to them! I am a beginner when it comes to coding but I found the delivery was great and easy to understand. They were sectioned into bitesize tutorials with the right amount of learning, practice and challenges so that you do not feel completely overwhelmed or demotivated. This has been an incredibly interesting and stimulating course, and I'm both surprised and proud to say that coding with JavaScript doesn't seem so scary anymore. Learning about professional workflow has also been really helpful. I'm really pleased with how far I've come since I started with SheCodes.
It's been a great course! I wouldn't have thought to learn so much already in only 3 weeks. Nor did I think that I would enjoy it so much but I did and I definitely want to continue my coding / programming journey. Thanks Matt & team! The explanations are very clear and they answer your questions really fast via Slack. If you're planning on learning React JS from zero, I'd totally recommend this workshop. Not only teach you some basic and essentials stuff to build a nice professional-looking app, but they also encourage your confidence to feel comfortable using React, which is not an easy subject to learn (at least for me). So thank you again, Matt and SheCodes team!

When I lost my job due to the pandemic, I saw opportunity to learn a new skill. A developer friend of mine always suggested I learn to code, so I took her advice and found SheCodes. I am amazed at how much I learned in such a short time! While I don't intend to pursue a career in software engineering, I am prodigiously proud of the skills I learned, and I know it has set me up to better communicate with developers I work with in the future.

I currently work as a language teacher. Due to the challenging situation of the past year, distance learning techniques and technologies included, I grew interested in the topic of coding. I am also an athlete, and my final project represents a way in which I could put coding skills in play to promote the sport I practice. I am generally a curious person and I like challenges, therefore, I took the opportunity SheCodes gave me. I am very impressed by the results, and I am considering coding as the key for a second career path.

I was initially a little apprehensive about how I would find the course because I was always under the impression coding was very difficult to learn from the outset, but I realize now that is just misinformation we sometimes hear! It was surprisingly easy to understand once broken down into manageable lessons and great teaching. I recommend this to everyone and say don't be put off or intimidated by the idea of coding. Learning JS was intimidating at first. Fortunately, Matt broke down the methods in baby steps to better concept the idea behind it. As a quick learner, I have to say; this was quite challenging. In the end, I'm starting to feel more confident in combining HTML, CSS, and JS.
This was a really smart, fun and easy way to learn. React is so much easier to work with than I first thought. I am looking forward to working with JavaScript and React in the future.
After finishing the beginner workshop I decided to continue with SheCodes Plus, in order to gain more knowledge and skills of the coding world. It was a very intense and also frustrating time, but I'm very happy about my decision. I still have a lot to learn and definitely need more time to understand what I'm doing, but I will happily continue with coding (now with the SheCodes React workshop) and see where it takes me in the future π
SheCodes is just awesome for learning how to code. Practice coding is followed by videos. And then comes the weekly assignments. The teaching method in the videos is great!! It forces you to practice. And practicing or coding is the key to learn to code.
Once again I had a great experience with SheCodes ! This second workshop really is amazing and I had the opportunity to learn a lot.
I had always thought that Coding is not possible for everyone but only for experts from IT or Computer science. This workshop proved to me that it was wrong! I have learned so much throughout SheCodes such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, also it helped me to understand the basic concepts of coding even I have enrolled to the first level for 3 weeks. This was an excellent workshop with practical exercises and essential information that I can use in both my professional and personal life.
