I attended SheCodes Workshop on a weekend and found that the way SheCodes teaches coding is very accessible and fun to learn, even for total beginners, which is my case. You get quite rewarded in each step you accomplish and always want to learn more further you do. Highly recommended if you would like to start discovering the world of coding 😉

Being part of SheCodes as a student has given me more insight to what this area can really offer. I learned to code at school, but it had been a while since I stopped. A real pleasure to be able to learn and challenge myself thanks to SheCodes. Simple to understand, clear explications even if english is not your first language. Looking for answers by yourself on websites and not having all the answers was challenging and I loved that !

An excellent introduction to coding! When I started the course I had 0 knowledge in coding, but SheCodes method made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. The hands-on coding challenges allowed me to start coding right the way. I learned a lot during these 3 weeks and I can't wait for the next step on coding!
Great way to start learning how to code. Each lesson was easy to follow, and I enjoyed doing all the challenges. I am amaze how much progress I made within a three week period. If you are curious about coding, I highly recommend trying out SheCodes.

An extremely interesting program and the flexibility to do it whenever we have the time is great, as I work during the day and did it mostly at night or weekends! I have been recommending it to friends from Week 1, it's awesome to be able to start reading code and learn what's behind the websites we use on a daily basis - even be able to build our own now! I learned a lot by doing the Plus Course. I started doing a weekend workshop and decided to change my career path and do the Plus course. It was my best decision. This was a great introduction to a topic that is not as difficult as it seems. It was fun to learn HTML, CSS and JS. In attempting to switch careers, this was a great place to start and leading me to consider to taking further courses to continue my learning with SheCodes. If you don't want to pay thousands of dollars or can't afford it, this is a great place to start and it will be worth your while. You have the help you need from staff and other students. You are encouraged to learn things on your own by simply googling, making that acknowledgement valid of being able to be a continuous learner, but also asking for help when needed.
I have always wanted to learn to code in any way possible, but never knew how or where to start. I know problem of a century. Covid-19 solved this problem for me by giving me time to actually find a course that sounded interesting, and oh boy this past 3 weeks by SheCodes flew by like a lightning. Matt and his team are great and there is a chat support if you need it Thank you Lexi for kind words, questions like: How are you doing with project or homework? SheCodes Plus was a great challenge and a rewarding experience. Every week includes courses and exercises that allows you to learn and to build, step-by-step, your own application. SheCodes team was very helpful when I had questions and they check on your evolution during the course. It's very positive that there is flexibility in what regards deadlines, because you are able to manage your time and balance SheCodes courses with your professional life.

I have been trying to learn how to code for about a year now, but due to my crazy job schedule I haven't been able to find a course that fits my needs. I enjoy SheCodes workshops a lot. I sat down and completed the course within less than five days, although the course was supposed to be 3-week long. The instruction was simple and easy to understand. I like the fact that SheCodes provides a challenge right after each lesson, which allows students to apply what they've learned to practice. This course was the perfect fit for me! I wanted to learn web development more in-depth, but I needed guidance and some pressure not to procrastinate however, I couldn't spend a lot of money on a coding bootcamp. Although it was online and we could do it at our own pace, we had the slack chat which helped in feeling part of the class. Matt's English is very good and the classes are spoken at a good pace and you can understand everything very well. Any questions we had we could ask on slack and one of the instructors or even the students would respond briefly. I found it was very helpful this method of asking questions in slack because I would see my colleagues doubts and if I couldn't help them, I would see what the instructors answered and learned a little more. Also when the homework was submitted it appeared on slack and it really helped me in keeping my motivation because I didn't want to fall behind. All the people I talked to were very friendly and ready to help. I really do believe that we get a lot of value for the price we pay. It is on our side to make the most of it!
Coding was something that I was already interested in learning, and this course was very useful to start from scratch. Matt's videos and examples helped me a lot to understand how things work! 😊I think this workshop can be beneficial for professionals in different areas. I thoroughly and completely enjoyed this class! I learned A LOT (and also learned how to use my Mac better!). Though this was like learning a foreign language in three weeks with a very steep learning curve, I now feel emboldened to look at code on various websites and realize that I understand at least part of the code it took to write it!
SheCodes online is a great introduction to coding, perfect for someone with a complicated schedule like I have, I was able to repeat the lessons as many times as I wanted to, check the code examples and do it in my spare time, at any time. With the start of this pandemic I started to think about what I would do with so much free time. Fortunately a friend showed me Shecodes and, although I thought I wouldn't be able to, I took the chance and learned a new skill. I finish this course very happy and much richer. Ridiculously good. SheCodes is the an incredible platform to kickstart your experience in coding through its set of workshops. Its learning platform, slack community and support from the teachers is what I believe stands out the most when compared to other courses.
I loved to go over all the learning about React again and being able to see how much easier everything already flows and being able to go a few steps further. And the good news are the further you go, the easier it seems. Thanks so much Matt and João for the extra tips.

I always wanted to understand coding better but never knew how to start and I have always looked at it as "a monster". A friend of mine signed up to SheCodes and called me up to the same. I must confess I do not regret it at all. The course gave me a great first glimpse into the world of coding and the way it is organized (the challenge of online classes was highly succeeded) and it is very instructive, providing you lots of fun! The team is super friendly, and knows how to explain things in an accessible way. SheCodes team creates an environment in which every question is valid and "not stupid" and everyone feels free to ask any doubt. My professional experience as a Product Owner gave me the opportunity to participate daily in the routines and challenges of the developers. However my wish was to understand them in a more assertive and close way. And speaking the language they speak is crucial to the success of any Product. I wanted to start coding for a while but couldn't find the right starting point. There is a lot of online material available, but it's so easy for a beginner to get lost in it! SheCodes provides everything you need to start coding - clear and structured material, challenges, that are adequate to your current knowledge level, a great teacher and a supportive team. And it was so much fun! After just one weekend, I learned so much and became "hungry" for more! Thank you guys, you are doing a great job!

SheCodes was an amazing experience...I was a bit terrified that I couldn't keep up, but Matt and all the team are really extraordinary! The course pacing is just perfect for you to understand everything, and all the challenges, homeworks and project are a fantastic way of practicing all you've learned. This a very valuable experience, gave me more tools to evolve profesisonally...and what can seem at the beginning like a seven-headed monster can be actually really fun to learn!

I just have to tell you, is by far the best 💯 Although, this weekend workshop it was supposed to be with presential learning, I just have to congratulate ALL THE TEAM 👏 for the speed of adaptation to make it an online course because of covid-19, they were so fast to adapat but they didn't lose the efficiency and the content of ANYTHING, once however 💪 I'm more than proud that I had the chance to see such a great team to work in this way, and thank to them they taught me things in a way that I won't forget for sure 🤓 ✔ And from here, it's always up ⬆ and I hope it will be with SheCodes 👩💻✔
SheCodes was a weekend well spend. The amount of stuff that you learn in only two days is incredible. Even though the class wasn't on site like previously planned, Matt was able to reach the participants via video-conference like no other! He's a very good teacher and being able to teach a bunch of newbies how to create an HTML page in one weekend says a lot. I really liked SheCodes Plus course because you can build your own vanilla application end to end, while learning step by step with classes and challenges. At the same time you can ask for help and help other people in the same course, which is great!

SheCodes is a great workshop for beginners to fully understand how HTML, CSS and Javascript works.
