I have always wanted to learn how to code - I can't believe I finally managed to dip my toes in the programming world! It was such an engaging, fruitful experience. I can't wait to start with the next course!

I have had great fun and learnt so much from this course. It has provided me with a great base for my own learning, as well as forcing me to apply my new skills to projects.

I loved taking part in this course, I learned a lot and managed to fit it in around my regular work day.

I've tried many times to learn coding from different platforms and I couldn't grasp it fully until SheCodes. I found about SheCodes through my flatmate and it was the perfect workshop. Matt explains everything very clearly and from the first day, a whole new world is in front of you.

These workshops, have been one of the best experiences I've ever had. I still can't believe that has been 3 months since this adventure started. I learned so many things that I never though I could learn in such a short period of time. ☺️ The 3 workshops were amazing, but if I had to choose, the React one was definitely the best. What an amazing journey! Like many of us, I started with the SheCodes workshop because, as a designer, I wanted to have some basic coding knowledge. I liked it so much that I wanted to learn more and went to SheCodes Plus where I felt I've learned so much and finished with a good understanding of coding language. So I decided to take the other step - React! - that I truly hope and believe that it will open a new door to a new career. I will not say that it was an easy path, but Matt is an amazing teacher and explains everything in a good and clear way. And he is supported with an amazing team that will not let you stay behind. I have to give a special thanks to João, for his patient and dedication to the project, he was always ready to help and clarify all my (many) doubts!

This course is taught very well, I had loads of fun and learnt a useful new skill!

I learned so much and feel like I have a solid grasp of the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript now. I'm looking forward to learning and practicing more to build on these skills. The course is well-organized and easy to adjust to your schedule - I recommend carving out more time than is recommended though so you can explore and not feel rushed.

I LOVE SheCodes! Every lesson is very well made and the challenges can be very fun. SheCodes has an amazing group of developers ready to help whenever you need them. This is my first time learning to code so I'm happy I came across SheCodes. They have made the process of learning to code a very pleasant experience. I have learned so much and look forward to taking the next course - SheCodes React.

I have always been interested in learning coding, but was never able to find something that seemed right for me. I decided to take a chance with SheCodes and I do not regret it. Matt and the SheCodes team provided a great, easy to follow step-by-step lesson plan and were always available and helpful when it came to questions. It's a bonus that they're helping to develop and support the female coding community. As a beginner, I would definitely recommend signing up for SheCodes.

I really enjoyed the structure of the workshop. Each lesson is the perfect length of time, with just the right amount of information. I really appreciated the homework after each lesson, which helped me understand the concepts and practice the new skills. The weekly projects were a bonus to tie together everything I learned throughout the week. I highly recommend this workshop for anyone who is curious in learning more about coding!

I've always wanted to learn computer programming. As a nurse, I am always looking for better ways to complete computer based health records and/training materials. This is just what I needed to get started in a foreseeable career path. The class was fun and each week I feel like I accomplished more than I ever knew I could do!

I have always wanted to learn how to code, however was never sure where to start and this course was a great way to start off and have some assistance whilst doing so

I had always wanted to learn programming and thought the opportunity was out of reach until I joined SheCodes. Matt has created an encouraging community that makes learning HTML, Css and Java Script accessible and fun. After a few lessons, I could teach someone else the basics! Today I know more than I could have imagined and can code confidently.

I didn't know what to expect when I signed up for SheCodes but I learned a lot. There was a lot of support for when one gets stuck, Matt's videos were easy to follow and got straight to the point! The challenges after the lessons give you the right amount of practice. Looking forward to learning more in SheCodes Plus.

Graduated from 3-week workshop ahead of time, since it was straightforward and easy to learn foundations of HTML, CSS and JS. Kudos to the team on the other side, they responded and helped VERY quickly, and I can't wait to continue on the next stage.

This workshop was so easy, and actually really fun. It doesn't require a huge commitment of time to complete, and is extremely convenient. If you do have the extra time and interest you'll find yourselves researching even deeper on your own. I feel like I've learned so much in such a short period of time. Highly recommend this workshop if you are interested in coding and have no prior experience.

This workshop does a great job of walking you through new elements as you learn them while also giving you the freedom to test out the new skills yourself. It's easy to follow along with each lesson and challenge. And there's a big community of coders working together to help each other through it all!

I really enjoyed the three week program. The videos were easy to learn followed with some challenges and homework that was really beneficial to me. I really recommend this for everyone out there. 😊

I had no idea about what coding even was before starting the first coding workshop. Now I can say it is a lot of fun and I appreciated learning in small steps at my own pace. I am already excited to learn more.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this learning experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in coding. My favourite part of the workshops was putting together all the separate elements learnt in order to create a website. I had a lot of fun and look forward to continuing my coding journey!

Having played with HTML coding when I was younger, I was surprised at how much I could remember. Being able to build on my knowledge further in order to learn new HTML skills, allowed me to become more proficient. Learning CSS and JavaScript from scratch was daunting, but I am incredibly proud of my achievement in just three weeks. A huge thank you to Matt, Lexi, João and the rest of the team for being so supportive throughout the whole process!

Really fun and easy to learn with Matt. I've gone back a few times to watch the videos again and there are so many good tips in there.

I currently work in the world of marketing as a Client Manager and I have been looking for ways to expand my knowledge of web development. In the past few years I'd picked up and put down materials that aimed to teach me HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, none leading me to any sort of success. The three week workshop offered through SheCodes gave me the help and resources needed to understand these languages and put them to use. I look forward to practicing the information I've learned and continuing to expand on it. I highly recommend giving SheCodes a try. 😻

Matt was an incredible instructor who was able to simplify and break down topics that otherwise might be a bit challenging for a beginner to digest. The neat thing about this particular program were the small "challenges" that we would be assigned to after learning a new topic that really allowed us to retain the information better by implementing the code ourselves. I would definitely recommend this course for people who are looking to enter the wonderful world of coding you won't be disappointed.

I heard about coding for a while now, but it always seemed intimidating. Thanks to SheCodes I managed to surpass my expectations, and create this project. This worksop has given me valuable skills in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript ES6 (with the help of CodePen and Visual Studio Code) that I strongly believe anyone should have in this day and age. You will never feel lost or stuck, as the SheCodes team and the other students are there for you at any point. The classes are well structured, and you can take them in your own time. When I finished my SheCodes intro class I knew I had to learn more. SheCodes do a great job of pacing the classes so you never feel too overwhelmed by all the new information you are learning. All the challenges make you think and apply what you have learned from the lessons. The main project was fun, challenging and feels incredibly rewarding to finish. I have learned so much from SheCodes and cannot wait to see where learning to code takes me next!

I am new to Coding and I never thought I would learn so much in such a short time.

I really enjoyed the program because it is not completely "self-study". The video tutorials were easy to follow along, there is no shame in asking questions, and you learn a lot within a short period of time. If you're a visual or hands-on learner, this is the recommended route.

This has been the easiest and most interactive way for me to learn how to code. In the past I was used to learning html and css from generic apps, but they weren't nearly as fun as SheCodes. If you're on the fence, I would highly recommend trying out the 3-week workshop in order to get a feel for the curriculum like I did and be a part of the slack online project help forum. I'm looking forward to purchasing the SheCodes Plus course soon because of how much I liked this one. Thanks, Matt, for such amazing instruction and explanation of the material!!

SheCodes provides a well-structured learning program with enough flexibility to work with my schedule.

The workshop was engaging, easy to follow and well structured. It has certainly given me the basic foundation and confidence in learning coding. So proud of what I was able to churn out (see project 😉) from this short course!

This was a great course - I can't remember the last time I felt so excited about learning something new! It was well organised, which enabled me to work through the weekly lessons and homework at a comfortable pace alongside my full time job. I have a sense of achievement at the end of the three weeks within the level I'm at. I would - and already have - recommended the course to others. I learnt a lot and really enjoyed it!

Good Beginner Course to learn the basics. It's definitely challenging, but fulfilling when you finally get it!

I really enjoyed this workshop. The information is broken down into bite size pieces, you learn a portion and then build on it! Great way to learn code!

I purchased some outdated books on HTML, CSS, and Javascript and almost lost my interest in learning to code. Then, I found SheCodes, and I am so glad I did! I love how supportive everyone is, and I really do believe anyone could learn to code using SheCodes.

I loved that the Plus course continued the format of the Introductory course where topics were broken up into their own separate videos. It made the topics easier to learn, practice, and digest; and has given me a basis for what to look for when problem-solving and researching in order to build on to the skills that I've learned from the course. I also enjoyed the level of difficulty and challenge of the project. I'm excited to learn more with the React course!

Taking SheCodes workshops was the best decision that I made. I developed my love for coding through this workshop and I recommend people to consider this workshop if they want to learn how to code. I am only 11 years old and Matt really helped me understand coding. I would highly recommend this. If I didn't understand something, someone would try helping me right away. SheCodes really helped me learn, would highly recommend.

This was a great opportunity to expand on some of my existing knowledge, and have fun building some new code! The course is really easy to follow, and provides a great learner experience.

This is an AMAZING course! I came in with many doubts but fell in love with how easy this course made programing to be. In just three weeks I learned to create my own website and have it be interactive! Definitely will keep going with the courses !

Thanks to SheCodes I have learned the basics of coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I want to continue to learn more about coding and become a Software Developer in the future.

Overall the help sheets and video explanations are very clear from Matt, learned a new world and found it interesting for sure. However, I do not like the platform Slack. I've had help today but I didn't even notice the answer until hours later, and the answer did not help me find a solution regardless. Slack is definitely not a simple platform to follow, it's confusing and overloaded with unnecessary messages from too many users. I submitted my final project, but I am not happy with a lot of things and even with google I could not find the solutions. I followed Matts advice and instructions but a lot of things were not working, even when writing multiple of times, refreshing pages, and writing them carefully while checking my notes. I didn't have so many problems with my last homework submission so I don't understand why this one was so hard to complete.

Concepts are broken down into bite size video lessons to allow for one or a few videos to be done at a time, depending on your schedule. It made it feel accessible to learn to a first time coder with no prior knowledge or experience of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. Having said that, throughout the course you are expected to do your own Google search of items not covered in the course which I wasn't aware of at the beginning and found frustrating at times. I found answers to most of my questions on Slack having been asked by others before me. I would recommend this course to someone looking to learn the basics of computer coding.

Great workshop. Lots of stuff covered in it, super easy to understand, and leaves you wanting to learn more. Even doing the assignments is enjoyable: I'd put my head down, practiced everything I learnt and tried new things... and I think I could've stayed writing code for days!

A smooth project guideline with clear explanation for a beginner like myself. Great experience to learn so much more 'behind-the-scene' of webpages that we see every day. There are frustrating moments where my codes are not functioning as I want them too but I always manage to get the help I need through slack 😄

I had tons of fun in the 3-week workshop! I learned so much and it was presented to me in an organized way so that it wasn't overwhelming. Matt explains things really well and I'll definitely be looking into the SheCodes Plus React course in the future.

Matt did a fantastic job at teaching each lesson with the beginners mindset to coding! He definitely helped me understand the coding properties by breaking it down step by step throughout each lesson and within a span of 3 weeks! I feel like there's still more I'd love to learn from him and I would definitely recommend, thank you again!

I discovered SheCodes through an add that I saw on youtube. When I went on the website, I was astonished at the quality of the content, how well it was organized and the simplicity of it. I didn't know what to expect at first because I had no previous experience with coding, but I wanted to try something new that would be challenging enough to bring me out of my comfort zone, so I went ahead and choose to do the 3 Weeks Workshop Program. Now let me tell you; it was the best decision I could have ever made! I never thought that I would learn this much in only 3 weeks !!! Matt is an excellent instructor, I'm really grateful that I gave Shecodes a try & I would definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to test the water with coding.

First, I would like to say that I have no coding experience whatsoever. I just graduated from college in May with a Kinesiology/Physical Education degree. My intention was to coach basketball at a University, or the public school system by the time August came. Second, while I was "sheltered in" due to COVID-19, I began to think about the future and what skill I needed to learn to keep myself valuable in the marketplace. Thanks to YouTube's algorithms that led me to a black woman who is a software engineer, and research about how the tech field will experience a 28% growth between the years 2018-2028, I decided that coding was it. I searched the net, came across SheCodes, and thought "Go for it". Lastly, for me, this journey into the unknown has been exciting, frustrating, challenging, and conquering. I am learning so much and seeing it manifest before my eyes. I look forward to continuing on to SheCodesPlus and React.

I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to change career and learn programming/marketing language. The course is very well structured, the teacher Matt explain everything in a detailed and calmly way that promotes to the student a sequential and structured learning. SheCodes was a great introduction to coding. The lessons were engaging and easy to follow, but I still felt like a learnt a lot while doing them. The exercises, homework, and project kept me accountable and were a great way to prove to myself that the material was sinking in. I loved it!

I am truly happy to have decided to apply for this course. In just 3 weeks I was able to learn so much and in such a fun and interesting way, not boring at all! 😄 In every video lesson, Matt explains everything in a very simple and efficient way and the challenges that he gives in each lesson are so worthy because you only learn by doing and you learn even more when things don’t work and you have to find by yourself what was wrong, knowing that you also can ask for help anytime you want. All 3 SheCodes' courses gave me the knowledge and tools to go ahead and finally learn how to code using everyday mark-up languages plus React which is currently an industry favorite! I am continuing my journey using the documentation that I can look at for as long as I need and continuing to code on my own. I feel confident that I can start applying for junior web developer positions with the idea that I can learn on the job with the tools I was taught by Matt and team!

I have been interested in learning how to code for a couple years now but didn't think I would be any good at it. This course gave me the confidence to learn and it was so fun to see how much progress I was able to make after only three weeks.

This workshop was definitely a step-up from the introductory one before. It was a gruelling 6 weeks but as usual, Matt was very thorough in his explanation as he coaches us step-by-step in the process of creating our own weather application. João is a life saver as he is always there on Slack to help us whenever problems arises. He is always super patient and very in-depth in his explanations. I find myself learning a lot more outside of class through my conversations with him. Definitely recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to progress further into the areas of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

This has been the best 3 months during the quarantine. Picking up this skill from beginning to end, I can see how much I've grown. Who knew that in 3 months I can learn to code? I sure didn't, but I did it!

SheCodes is by far the best coding workshop experience I've ever had. The videos are succinct and easy to understand and the challenges along the way are a great check on learning. In just 3 weeks I was able to build my own landing page using HTML, CSS, and Javascript and had a lot of fun doing it!

Due to the Coronavirus situation I had enough time to think how I would like to spend my time. Searching for coding courses my attention was captivated by a course for women. I said I should give it a try. So, I graduated the first course "Introduction to coding"(where I learnt the basic of HTML, CSS, Java Script) and it seemed to arouse my curiosity more. And now, I just finished #SheCodes Plus, 8 weeks of great experience, of learning new technologies (API, Github, Hosting, Bootstrap) and meeting so many smart women. Thank you #SheCodes for everything you taught us, thank you @Matt Delac, @Joao, @Lexi. PS: #SheCodes React here I come! 💪🤩🥳

Very good course for beginners with helpful videos explaining to a high standard! CodePen and VS Code are great platforms to learn on and I have gained lots of great knowledge about HTML, CSS and javascript. I am now seeking to learn harder software languages in more back-end developing👩‍💻!!! The course could be improved by providing, optional, harder challenges for those wanting to take their skills to the next level🔥!!!

It may have taken me 3 weeks and two days to complete the SheCodes Workshop, but this experience has taught me an insurmountable amount about tackling my fears! Each lesson pushed my knowledge in code just the right amount, to where I could then knock out the challenges bit by bit. I attribute my success as well to, Lexi D., and other members of the SheCodes.io Slack community, and especially because I was experiencing setbacks coming from a place of doubt as I reached the half-way point of the course. But, the fast responses to my inquiries as to why it was that my code wasn't working, quickly got me back into tempo, (hence the additional two days), and eventually having the confidence to face the dysfunctional coding mishaps on my behalf. After viewing their online commercial, I was a bit hesitant at first to consider spending the $99 that course would cost, however after the free live-session workshop which I joined, this solidified my stance once and for all to overcome my fears and learn how to code! It truly is amazing to see that after three years following my initial attempt to complete an HTML course, SheCodes Workshop not only aided in my knowledge base of HTML, but provided me with a solid understanding of Javascript, and CSS basics, and most of all, a motivating community--which overall factored into my successful completion of the workshop course. My advice for anyone considering to opt for SheCodes is that, realize it's a worthwhile investment that lasts a lifetime. The skills learned in this workshop shows a glimpse of an individual's forbearance, needed to succeed in life's challenges, no matter how daunting they seem to be at first.

It's not easy to work a full-time job and learn a new skill, but Shecodes really helped me understand a little bit of the world of coding in the most simple way they could teach! I own a big thanks to Matt for the awesome classes, easy to follow along, and to Lexi, for the big support and understanding!

Learning to code from SheCodes was such an amazing and fun experience! The workshops are very easy to follow and you also have plenty of opportunities to build your skills. I am so glad I found this program and I highly recommend it to everyone! You will definitely not regret taking it!

I learned so much with SheCodes! Coding itself teaches you to finish what you started, be very specific with your syntax, pay attention to details and you get to work on your logical reasoning, without compromising on aesthetics, which I appreciate a lot. This was an extremely intuitive program. Everything was taught in a way that was easy to understand, but also very easy to build off of. I feel very prepared to proceed to the next workshop and am excited to continue learning with Matt!

With an easy to follow curriculum and a take it step-by-step instructor like Matt, learning how to code was made fun and easy with constant support via slack. With constant support from others in the course and instructors, this workshop has really opened my eyes to insane possibilities as a developer. After completing the 3-weeks workshop with SheCodes, I knew I could learn more and do more! The Plus program is great. It has the same great style of tutorials and pace, but with so much more content. SheCodes allowed me to call myself a programmer and actually think like one!

Excellent course! Everything is explained extremely clearly in manageable increments. Personally, I feel that I could perhaps have covered more material in the 3-week period, but I understand that the advantage of the current format is that is remains highly accessible, even for people who have very little knowledge of information technology. I also feel that I currently have enough understanding of coding terminology to continue learning on my own.

This workshop was exactly what I was looking for! Great way to give a little taste of how coding works, with a well organized and clear learning method!
