Through these past three weeks, I went from having zero knowledge or confidence in my coding skills, and now I am able to understand the basic structure of web development! It was really great to have a community of women to ask questions to and watch each of us learn a new skill.

Wow! What a wild ride. I signed up for the SheCodes workshop on a whim; I'd played around with HTML/CSS and was interested in learning a bit more. This course was the perfect tool. Matt did an excellent job of breaking up the information in "bite sized" pieces and explaining it in a way that was easy to follow/understand. The challenges after each lesson help the information "stick" and the Slack channel really helps you feel like you're part of a community. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone even remotely interested in the world of coding. I'm definitely considering doing more workshops!
The various challenges and homework assignments were set up in a good sequence. I found the videos very helpful to learn from. Overall, I feel like the intro course covered a lot in three weeks and did it without being overwhelming!

I had tried other free beginner coding tools but I was not retaining the information as well. I applied for SheCodes and was accepted and in the last three weeks, my knowledge of coding has grown so much! I loved the breakdown and will possibly sign up for another workshop in the future. This workshop was great! Being a marketing professional, I was slightly familiar with simple coding and knew I wanted to learn more. This was a great way to get some experience with different coding languages and I'm so glad I took the chance to expand my knowledge.

I have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to code through the SheCodes workshop and found Matt's lessons and challenges extremely useful. I feel I have a new skill now that I can continue to develop and possibly pursue a career in. I have already recommended it to friends as you get a great understanding of the foundation and fundamentals of coding compared to other courses being offered. My only issue would be the amount of 5 hours a week mentioned when I took the initial free workshop was not realistic for me as a complete beginner going through each lesson and challenge and then solution required time to absorb all of the new information I was receiving. I would therefore advise anyone who is new to coding and wants to take this course and has other commitments such as full time work, commuting, family etc to be prepared to block out time everyday to go through lessons otherwise it could become overwhelming to complete over the weekend.
I was super intimidated at first, I am not a computer person, so I thought I would have to study super hard to be able to learn how to start coding but its so much simpler than I thought, and its actually kind of fun. I have so many ideas, things I want to create once I'm done with all the workshops and really know what I'm doing.
I have wanted to learn coding for a while but had trouble finding a service that kept me motivated and engaged. SheCodes has given me the structure I need to learn these new skills and expand my career prospects.
I love 💜SheCodes because it has a lot of practical step by step homework. The teaching, video and content quality are one of the best I've ever seen. Before I started this workshop, coding had been some "magic land" for me I had just heard something about, but actually I hadn't known how it works or how to write a code. I've learned a lot of things and had so much fun during creating my own website and combining my creativity with this "magic". The classes were really easy to understand, I was surprised how step by step, day after a day, I understood and remembered more and I was able to do more. It was also an amazing feeling to create something and see that it worked on the website (like a button or Java script). I would recommend this workshop to everyone who wants to start their journey with coding.
I had a lot of fun learning something new and trying the different challenges in every lesson. Everything is very comprehensive and Mark gives little tips along the way which are definitely helpful. Really recommend it!

The SheCodes workshop was a great way for me to become familiarized with coding without a heavy time or monetary commitment. I was looking for developing a new skill during lockdown when an ad for SheCodes popped up. The design was pretty cool and the video was interesting so I kept on watching. 30mins later I signed up for the Plus React workshop and have not looked back! The lessons are the perfect length with small challenges after so you are applying what you've just learned immediately. The introductory workshop made it fun and interesting and I am looking forward to continue learning. 🤓

I definitely recommend this to total beginners, and people who are foreign to the world of coding. Matt was very clear and explained everything step by step in the videos, which was great. The challenges provided a good mechanism to practice the learning. I also love how I was able to fit this workshop around my schedule. One feedback I have is that the challenges could have been a bit harder and longer to really improve learning. But other than that, I really recommend this!

Before getting to know SheCodes, I had zero knowledge on coding and I have never imagined myself that I could broaden my level of understanding towards it. I was not sure whether online platform would be effective as this seemed to be a foreign language that I would not understand at all. My perception towards coding has drastically changed after taking a coding workshop on August 23rd, 2020, facilitated by Matt Delac. Matt is not only a professional full-stack engineer, but also a great teacher who explains what seemed to be complicated with a very simple and easy way. Full of hands on examples and simulations were easy to follow and I could immediately apply what I learned. Mr.Matt dissected knowledge into pieces and guided me to combine them like a puzzle. During the learning journeys of HTML, CSS, and Java Script, I noticed myself that I actually enjoyed the workshops and gained confidence towards coding. I wanted to express my personal gratitude for the effort and extra time Matt and SheCodes staffs have contributed. I am proud of myself as I could broaden my comfort zone towards coding in few weeks. I plan to continue challenging myself to deepen my knowledge. Thank you Matt and SheCodes staffs!

After being in the retail/customer service industry for nearly 12 years I was ready for the change I so badly needed. I already have some python coding skills but I wanted to define my future career and take the bull by the horns. I started to look up coding boot camps and workshops that fit my schedule and that's when I came across SheCodes. SheCodes was the perfect match to my already packed schedule and due to the Covid-19 pandemic it was about to get more hectic with my kids' remote learning. The content on SheCodes Workshop was easy to understand and allows you to do it at your pace. I'm working my way to become a full-stack engineer and this is only the beginning.

After surviving two brain aneurysms and two brain surgeries, my goal was to learn new things and make the most of life. I challenged myself to learn web development. I tried several learning methods but could never fully grasp the material. SheCodes provided the tools and projects that helped me better understand the material! I recommend this course to all women and especially encourage black women to learn with SheCodes!!!
SheCodes Plus makes it very easy and interesting to learn JavaScript. I really liked the format with several short videos, each directed to a specific topic. This makes it much easier to keep focus, instead of being bored in a long and dull lecture or being "bombarded" with several subjects at once. After finishing the project, I feel prepared to take on new challenges and start a career in tech, thank you SheCodes!

I am not gonna lie, I was really skeptical with this idea.I started SheCodes workshop with 0(zero) knowledge of coding. I was already preparing to quit and not even started yet. I thought that coding is really hard and I will not be able to learn this, but actually, I am glad to inform you, it is NOT true. SheCodes team and instructor Matt are awesome and sooo helpful. I loved the SheCodes Workshop! Coding is something I have wanted to try for a long time, but I have always been put off by the fact that you are always told at school that coding is only for the people who were the very best at maths. However, as this course has taught me, that isn't at all the case! If you put your mind to it, anyone can learn how to code. I fully support any initiatives to encourage girls and women to code, as we are very underrepresented in the tech sector. I'd been thinking about learning to code for a long time. After watching SheCodes' introduction to coding, I decided to give the workshop a go. It's well worth the money and the effort. Each lesson takes you through what you need to know in a logical, step-by-step way. I will definitely be taking the SheCodes Plus workshop to continue my coding journey!
What an experience! I've been on my SheCodes journey since April and it's been almost six months of learning. I was challenged, but it was also extremely rewarding to build something. Being able to ask questions in slack was a very helpful.
SheCodes Plus was definitely an intense journey! Even though I struggled sometimes, it was always possible to find help and to deliver what was expected. Matt's videos are extremely enlightening, João is a lifesaver on Slack and the rest of the team is always helpful. And during these 8 weeks it was always possible to learn with the other students, which is amazing! I had a great time, I learned and I can't wait for the challenges ahead!
In college, I took an intro to coding class and the professor made it so confusing. I ended up dropping out and being scared of code since then. But I joined SheCodes to give it another try and now I genuinely have the interest to continue learning more! SheCodes made it so easy and fun to learn! Thanks, Matt!!
SheCodes has been fun and informative. I look forward to learning more. I paid for the entire workshop and after 3 weeks I still don't regret it and I don't think I ever will. The instructors get back to you super quickly if you have any questions. Matt is very clear in his videos and I find that he sets you up for success by offering plenty of resources.
First of all - what an adventure going from JS to now learning React! It was a great learning path, and I loved the video's in 'SheCodes React Final Project' - it truly brings everything together. One thing I would love to see though is a tutorial video of how to apply the 'my current location button' - like we did in Shecodes plus. However,I highly recommend everyone doing SheCodes React, it's great final course to the bootcamp. Excited to continue my learning path in coding and use new skills and knowledge.
SheCode's community is great! Matt's bite-sized videos really keep you motivated to continue learning and coding. The workshop is addictive! I was addicted to the videos and the challenges and homeworks. You never feel alone because you have assistance on Slack and if you have any doubts someone will be there to help you. Matt explains in a simply way so you can understand. I felt that I really learn something usefull. I recommend this workshop :)

Without a doubt, I have learned so much about coding from just this one workshop. The intro workshop does a phenomenal job of preparing you for learning everything from writing your code, creating actionable data with javascript to hosting your own development. 5 out of 5 would recommend!
I found the pace of the curriculum to be a perfect fit for me. I like that I can re-watch videos or run through the assignments faster if I feel like I can. A fun introduction to front-end coding, I look forward to learning more! 4/5 stars because I think the learning platform design could be improved to make finding things more intuitive for the user.

I'm extremely happy I found SheCodes after months of trying to learn coding during the lock down. We all have our unique way of learning stuff and the way SheCodes workshop is structured has been excellent for people like me who like measuring progress if i may say so. The weekly challenges are just perfect - you have something to be proud of weekly!
SheCodes is an ideal environment if you want to learn how to code. Matt teaches the basics in a way that make things seem easy and fun, in a "judgement-free" environment and it's quite motivating 🤩 And to top everything off, the fact of SheCodes being only for women, for me, as a girl starting to enter the STEM world where I'm a minority in the room, I felt a different sense of belonging. I was looking to learn how to code for awhile but didn't know where to even begin. SheCodes gave me an into coding, the tools to type my own code, and was always there when I got frustrated. I'm thankful for all the support from the staff as well as knowing woman like me were also learning this skill right along side me as well. If you want to start at some point, I learned that now is a good time as any.
I am a finance student but for all these years, I was trying to figure out what I really like and enjoy doing. I started looking up things online that how I find about coding, I try many training online and then I find "She-codes" I found Shecodes very helpful, the training was good I get to learn from someone who have a great experience, every week I have a project, challenge or homework to work on. The challenge give me the opportunity to practice and learn things and put in my skills at work and learn at my own . At the end of the program, I was given a final project, where I have express my skills and create a website , it was a great opportunity to put in what I have learn.
SheCodes has a well-organized format with a great support system. I did find myself using Slack a lot so that's a really good tool for a first-time coder. It's very easy to learn and the challenges help with information retention.
SheCodes was challenging at the right moments and consistently fun, it felt like I was working with a puzzle or playing a game. Learning code isn't expected to be easy but SheCodes teaches it with ease, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I've tried to learn coding before with no success as a lot of courses and workshops weren't easy to understand or not for beginners. Eventually I got frustrated and thought this was not for me... until I found out about SheCodes. Matt way of teaching brought back my interest on learning code and he made it look so incredibly easy. Came across a free intro webinar for SheCodes through Instagram and took the leap with the Workshop. The 3-week course flew by. Videos were easy to follow with step-by-step tutorial explanation on how HTML, CSS, and Javascript work together. The homework at the end of the week is super helpful in helping me understand what I learned. SheCodes also provides a Slack community for you to chat with other students who are taking the course with you. In there, you can ask for real-time help and troubleshoot your code with colleagues. Would highly recommend this course to anyone who has no background in coding who is looking to build a solid foundation.
Coding is always intimidating, especially to someone who has no background in it. I like that Matt's videos are bite-size, which makes is easy to learn, follow & absorb the material. The challenges & the project help to solidify the materials that was taught.

Whenever I had tried to learn coding in the past I was unsuccessful and had a hard time understanding it. Matt made is EXTREMELY easy to understand and I feel more confident in myself since I was able to create something I thought would be impossible. With the right teacher, ANYONE can learn and I am excited to put my skills to use. Even if you don't plan on becoming a developer, it is important to understand how they think if you are to work with them in the future. I 100% recommend and hope to take one of the longer workshops in the future 😊
I couldn't believe I just completed my SheCodes Plus course! Learning how to build my first weather app was one of my greatest accomplishments during the COVID-19 pandemic and I can say that this is a project that I am proud of.
