Taking the React add-on course was a good extension to the first React course. You build a dictionary app with React and you also fetch APIs so you can continue practicing the skills you learned in the previous React course.
I learned so much on this journey can't wait to keep learning!
SheCodes is perfect if you don't want to spend hours on watching videos on how to code, Matt made short but informative videos that made it easier to understand and fun to learn!
I loved SheCodes-Basic! Before I started, I didn't know anything about coding whatsoever and I was always a little intimidated by it. I liked Matt's way of teaching straight away (not easily done because I am a teacher myself π©βπ«) and it is still truely amazing to me, how much I learnt in that short span of time. It gave me a lot of insights into the world of coding - so much in fact that I decided to continue with SheCodesPro to change careers, as I recently became unemployed. I didn't see that one coming but I'm really happy and grateful about it. It was the right ad at the right time and can't wait to keep on coding! βββββ

Starting SheCodes, I was in a bad place worrying about my future and the type of person I want to become. I still have no clue what I want but SheCodes has given me a purpose these last few weeks and for that I am grateful and I learned that coding is something I am very much interested in. Great course for beginners and as a refresher for me since I had used HTML and CSS in the past, and great to learn Javascript as well. The lessons are short and the course is very hands-on with small challenges to complete along the way. Also Matt gave some good tips on how to set up VS Code and how to keep your code clean. Overall a good experience!
Coding is fun! This is what I learnt from the whole lessons. Sometimes it took me time to understand what the tutorial videos explained, but I actually enjoyed the 'trial and error' time at each challenge and homework :) Thank you for giving me the opportunity!
I had no knowledge and thought it would take me months to get through the basics, but the way the material is presented and the support given, helped me learn the basics in weeks.
Years ago I tried to learn CSS and HTML by myself. Well, after a lot of sweat I did it. But when I approached Javascript I felt overwhelmed and without support. Some weeks ago my boss asked me to work on our company's website and I was like: "Oh, well..." And I bumped into SheCodes. I thought: "It's now or never." And I bought the whole package, thanks to my discount as university student (I am doing a second BA). The biggest part of this course is the community. I love to ask, to receive answers after some minutes and to be able to help others. Through this course I was able to develop also my company's website. And this is JUST the beginning :)
Loved the course! Have been trying to learn on other platforms, but learning whilst building projects and following along with Matt really helps! Will definitely be progressing to the SheCodes pro!!

Building a weather app was super challenging and at the same time super rewarding. SheCodes does a great job at guiding you through the process of building your first application. Matt is a wonderful instructor and the best of it all, the app is actually live; with real data! Invest in yourself and take the time to learn how to code!
I'm proud to have taken the next step continuing from SheCodes basic to plus! It was truly a great experience to learn more about coding and diving deeper into knowing about API's and hosting a site. It was challenging but the experience was worth it and it was fun to see everything come together while building my weather application from start to finish!

Among all the other virtual self-study courses, SheCodes Basic course is one of the best courses I've participated within 5 years! Everything was coordinated super-smoothly, all the necessary information was provided before and during the study, I got help when I asked it, Matt's way of teaching suited me very well and I had just enough time to learn and submit my homework. As a French philologist, yet being an Estonian native speaker, I've always thought that coding is only for the people who understand higher math. Well, I've never would have guessed that coding is very similar to learning a foreign language. And moreover, it's fun! SheCodes has made it very easy for me to learn how to code without so much struggle. I specifically like the step to step guideline approach that Matt uses to teach. I like how we started off by writing codes on code pen then slowly moved to VsCode editor, all of which one could access just by a click of a button. So far, it has been an exciting Learning experience and I cannot wait to learn more!
I learned a great deal through the Responsive course. The classes are informative and easy to follow, while giving students room to experiment and make mistakes. I feel more confident in my coding skills after taking this course, and I'm excited to see what I can create with React next!

This course was absolutely brilliant. It was so fun and simple to understand, I have learnt so much over the past 3 weeks and I will definitely carry on coding.
I really enjoyed working through the responsive tutorial - I still have a lot to practice and learn, but it was great to discover the different ways to make a responsive, SEO-friendly and accessible website.
SheCodes lesson proceeds step by step, and concisely teaches the students the pivotal things and elements on coding. As my background, I had been interested in coding for a while and felt "I need more some skill in IT field for my career", but thought at the same time taking the coding lesson or going coding school was highly expensive. However, fortunately I found SheCodes, course of which is really affordable! Although I need more reviewing what I learned through SheCodes Basic workshops and remembering them for sure, after doing that, I would like to take a higher-level workshop, SheCodes Plus!
It was a very good course about Html, CSS and JavaScript. I'm really happy and proud of my growth in this part. the concepts are deeply taught with lots of challenges and homework, that make you sure you learned it. finally as Matt always says, It was really fun and super easy ! βπ
The workshop has been a real fun and educational experience! I had completely forgotten that over a decade ago I used to enjoy editing my MySpace and LastFM profiles so much, and the free class I signed up for spontaneously reminded me about that. It was so great that I enrolled on the Basics Workshop with no hesitation. Coding seems fun and I am convinced that learning the fundamentals with SheCodes is just the beginning of my journey in that area!

SheCodes is an easy way to learn to code. Matt explains it well. And when I didn't completely understand the explanation in the video's, luckily a search on the internet made it clear. I really loved doing the final project; it all came together and I could spend hours without watching an instruction or making homework.
