I'm so glad that I signed up for SheCodes. I took a coding class in college before, but I struggled to understand it because I was only reading from a textbook. I thought I wasn't cut out for coding because of that. When I started SheCodes, I found that I actually enjoy coding. The lessons are presented in a way that is engaging and I love that I was able to practice what I've learned immediately with the challenges. I feel like I was constantly surprised at what I was able to do. I went from thinking I couldn't code, to wanting to make it into a career.
SheCodes is an excellent program to develop front end skills. The course is very well structured and every week you learn something new and apply it immediately. It is challenging, however you never feel alone because of the support you encounter, both from the team and the amazing people doing the course with you. I feel inspired to keep developing my skills and pursue a career in this field. Special thanks to Matt and the team! Looking forward to learn SheCodes Plus!!
I really liked SheCodes Plus π! It was much more challenging than the Basic course but I have learned a lot and I am looking forward to the React course.

No other course I took really compares to SheCodes, the ability to build a page from scratch, and Matt's amazing explanations on each concept is unmatched. I have learned so much in what feels like so little time!

I decided to apply for this workshop after graduate from school while waiting to get acceptance for my university... I would say it is challenging but thanks to Matt's good explanation and help from Slack, it is a fun journey as i get to learn how to make my own weather website and i am really amaze with myself that i'm able to complete this workshop despite the challenges. Coding as my future career would be fun and interesting!
I'm super happy I chose to participate in this workshop! It's amazing how much I learnt in this relative short amount of time. I will definitely continue with the next workshop aswell to deepen my knowledge further. Thanks to Matt's good explanations and the support of his team I could understand complex problems and solve all the tasks without any issues. Another thing I like about the workshop is that we can watch the video tutorials over and over again to refresh our memory about all the techniques we covered.
I've moved to Spain after marriage and I was looking for a job here but it was not so easy for me. I was very frustrated but then I noticed that I had to develop a set of skills which is in high demand and that was coding. I was very afraid of trying coding because I took a class many years ago and I was not so good at it and it did not interest me much. But since becoming a developer sounds like a good option to me while I have lots of free time, so I decided to give it a try. After taking a free introduction class, I had a feeling that I could also do this like many other girls. I had zero knowledge about coding (although I learned it many years ago, I did not remember anything), each lesson helped me greatly to understand concepts and especially each challenge/project and interacting on Slack tremendously helped me. Deciding to take SheCodes is one of the best decisions I've made this year and I'm really looking forward to taking other levels, getting one step closer to become a developer! If others can do it, why not me? All you need is this mentality! If I can do it, you can also do it!!
I discovered this workshop when I was scrolling through instagram. One of the best things that has happened to me in a while. To be honest, it was something I was already interested in but I never spent much time searching for it. With SheCodes workshop, I'm learning a lot! The time flies and it feels amazing. I've spent around six months learning HTML, CSS and Javascript using various platforms such as CodeAcademy, LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight and YouTube to name a few. After attending the SheCodes free coding class, the material I learned really stuck! After enrolling onto SheCodes pro I've really enjoyed the support from the SheCodes community and the learning style of effectively: (1) Shadowing Matt (2) Completing his challenge to test your learning (3) Doing homework to validate your learning even more (4) Completing a project that includes everything you've learned (5) Having your code reviewed at each stage Learning how to code this way goes beyond everything i've used before and I has made it challenging yet fun!

I've loved coding since junior high, but a lack of classes teaching it left me without a way to learn, to the extent of me almost completely forgetting that I had that passion at all. I've been looking for new things to try, new learning opportunities that I could potentially turn into a career. SheCodes is definitely that avenue. I've rediscovered that passion I had when I was a kid, and I'm getting to develop it in a way that I hadn't thought of before. I can't wait to continue on this journey!

When I was a little girl, back in 2010, I would spend all my time creating blogs and using CSS and HTML to make my own designs, and give them away to others. I would learn from the very little information I found online and from looking through others' codes. I hadn't done any coding since then, and so I started to think if it could be a more serious thing now. I've been thinking about taking one of SheCodes workshops for AGES! I'm glad I did it, it definitely rekindled my passion. The basics workshop is amazing for someone who is trying to figure out if they want to go further with coding. The classes are very clear and the step-by-step process makes it feel so smooth and fun. The amazing community of women trying to help each other, not about competition but about growing together, is a great plus. Thank you so much, I'm pretty sure this is going to change the course of my life.
I had the best time learning to code in the SheCodes Basics class. The lessons were organized well and easy to follow. I have gained a lot of knowledge in just 3 weeks and can't wait to continue learning more. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to learn to code.
To learn to code was an amazing decision, to do it at SheCodes made the decision perfect. I love the way Matt presents the stuff. You get a lot of very well explained new information with each class but you don't get it completely chewed. Some things are easy to reproduce others not ,and you must go through trial and error until you get the right answer. This is for me the best way to learn something. I just finished the Basics level and cannot wait to continue this journey. As Matt promised, coding is really fun.
SheCodes Plus is a great way to further your coding journey! It will be difficult at times, and occasionally you will feel like things are going over your head, but I promise it is worth it. I learnt so much through this course and can 100% say Matt has ignited a passion for coding.
I really enjoyed the three weeks course and found it a great introduction to the world of coding, which seemed so alien to me before starting. I really like the format of the course, with instruction videos and challenges so that you get to practice the new skill you just learnt. I also appreciated how I could go at my own pace but still had the incentive of a deadline for the homework each week. Having the slack community was also great. Knowing that you are learning together with others can be very motivating.
This was an intense 3 week journey, I had in mind many times to give up, I was saying that this is not for me, I can't learn it, but I am so glad I have not gave up. I loved the support you get, in case you get stuck, so many options to sort your issue. I was not alone, I was getting instant help from staff members, even from the community members who joined SheCodes. I think what kept me going is the time line to submit your homework, if was not in place I am sure I was not to follow up and give up easily. Very organised step by step course, clear messages and instructions, the best coding course. I hope more people discover this and give a try, it's not as hard as you think and if so, you are not alone, a lot of people are going through same thing as you and many more are there to help you. We don't have any free workshops like this course in IRAN. I recommend it to others who love learning.
The plus workshop was great. learning more about JS and how to integrate API calls is really helping me understand more about how things work that the team I am a business analyst on have been coding up for awhile now.
I enjoyed SheCodes it presented the lessons in a way that was easy to understand, and I liked the challenges that we had to complete after finishing the video lessons. Since finishing the workshop I feel confident with the basics I have learned.
I was skeptical with how quickly or proficiently I could learn HTML, CSS, and JS in just 3 short weeks....I am pleasantly happy to share that it is possible! I take each lesson day by day and personally decide where I need to spend more time learning. I love this flexibility. If you need more time, they are accommodating but still have high expectations for completion. The final project was so much fun and I enjoyed my time creating my own site about cavapoos! I highly recommend. I will be moving on to the next part of the course and I am excited to continue this journey.

What can I say about SheCodes when I first decided to do SheCodes I was scared out of my mind because I thought In my mind that I could never learn to code again but this place gave me the courage to believe again and try anything that maybe challenging so I all I want to say is Thank you SheCodes!

I absolutely had no clue what I was doing the first day. I was always intrigued by coding, just never thought I would give it a go. Now here I am trying to absorb as much as possible excited to continue learning. Everyone at SheCodes makes you feel welcomed. Itβs wonderful to have accessibility to help, examples, and different tools to make sure you succeed. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get started.

Overall I liked the course, the style of teaching is clear and straightoforward. I just wished I learned more about JS at this point, I feel it wasn't sufficient.

An excellent course for total beginners! I had no previous coding experience and was concerned coding would be difficult. However, Matt breaks down the information into small steps and the challenges allow you to practice what you have just learned. I was able to immediately begin creating my own code! It was fun, interesting, and easy to understand. I really enjoyed creating my final project and I'm excited to begin SheCodes Plus!
I started the SheCodes Basic out of curiosity - I still don't know if I want to change my career but I definitely liked the workshop! The tasks were challenging yet not intimidating. The short lessons gave the opportunity to learn everything step by step. And finally I found out where the emojis are on windows π I will definitely do the next course within a few months π

Before knowing anything about the coding world, I always thought that's a complicated and boring field to me, but since I've learned about it and I've had the opportunity to be a part of Shecodes learners, every day feels like an adventure! I've got to learn many interesting things without being scared of making mistakes as there was always a team there for helping me get better. I enjoyed my experience very much and, of course, I'm willing to learn more.
SheCodes opened a new door in my life, first because I went back to study after almost 10 years (Moms can relate?), and it was something that I was looking forward to a long time, so every time was worth it, and I can't wait to learn more and more! I was an absolute beginner when I started my SheCodes workshop and I was able to learn valuable and practical skills that will help me along my journey so that I can further my knowledge of learning to code. Matt was an articulate instructor and very talented at translating scripts into easily digestible concepts. I was able to reinforce my understanding of coding basics quickly--I had not had to write any code in over ten years, and re-learned everything in three weeks, as promised. The coursework was fun and comprehensive, and the videos made it easy to rewatch if I missed anything.

Amazing learning program for beginners!
After having successfully tackled SheCodes Basic, I kept the momentum going and tackled SheCodes Plus. It was challenging at times, but then are you even learning? I feel a bit more confident in my skills and knowledge-base. Things that had always sounded so big and scary to me when my partner spoke about them like Bootstrap and GitHub aren't actually that scary at all. They're made to help you and make you more efficient. Matt has done such a great job in SheCodes Plus taking his time explaining the really tricky and complicated sections. I still feel a bit noob but I'm not as noob as before.
I LOVE SheCodes. I did the free workshop on a whim because coding has always intrigued me, but I thought it was really maths-heavy. The one hour session opened my eyes - and I've learned that coding is so much more than numbers! I continued on to SheCodes Basic and I've learned so much in just a few weeks. It has been a really fun challenge and I highly recommend to anyone who is curious about coding. π©βπ»

At first I was a little scared because I have no coding background. But the lessons were so thorough and easy to follow. It was truly a great course, in every way! When I started my personal blog, a few years ago, that's when I had my first contact with HTML. I found it absolutely amazing to be able to manipulate the elements as I wished. Even though I learned (proactively) very little at the time, it proved to be useful in my day-to-day work. So, I've always felt the desire to learn more coding. This workshop exceeded all my expectations! Matt is absolutely amazing and has a gift for captivating and reassuring anyone who is most fearful. I highly recommend this workshop and hope to have the opportunity to continue to learn and apply what I've learnt in my day-to-day!

This was definitely a step up from SheCodes Basic. It was really interesting to learn about APIs and how we can feed through real time data for the weather app. Learning more about Javascript was also a rewarding challenge.
Personally, I had learned a lot, in these 3 weeks :) about the basics of coding that is not difficult actually its quite easy with our own sense of passion. I do love to design and express my creative side. I can proudly say, I like* to code! Looking forward to the next project. Thank you!
I've always been interested in coding. When I came across SheCodes I actually couldn't believe I would ever do it. It was only when I started SheCodes Basics I realized that, not only it is possible, but also not difficult to learn to code. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire SheCodes Basics workshop. I had some prior experience with coding before the workshop, but the way this was taught here was fantastic! I learned new things and the lessons rejuvenated my love for coding. JavaScript was actually fun in this workshop and I didn't think that was possible. I highly recommend this workshop to women who want to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript but don't know where to start. I can't wait to start the next SheCodes workshop!
I found out about SheCodes accidently, when scrolling through Facebook. I had graduated from college two years ago and wanted to broaden my skill set so I would have more opportunities. I didn't have any experience with coding whatsoever but I decided to give it a try and sign up for a free coding class and then SheCodes Basics. I just completed the workshop today and I'm about to continue my journey with coding but I can already say that it was a good decision! During those 3 weeks, I learned a tremendous amount of information and I'm excited to see what's next! Also, I'm happy that I had a chance to explore the 'mysterious' world of coding!
I struggled when it came to learning programming languages before I found SheCodes. Matt makes learning so much fun and I'm always looking forward to my SheCodes challenges! SheCodes Responsive was a great way to learn how to make a website work for both Desktop and Phones
I have always wanted to learn to code but didnt know where to start, I had previously watched youtube videos and read online resources but found that none of them started right at the beginning. I really enjoyed these courses and the satisfaction of learning something new and being able to see my skills develop through the projects
I am extremely happy about all that I have learned. It feels like, step by step, I am able to do something nice in programming. I want to keep learning here.
I've tried multiple ways to learn to code for some time now. SheCodes has made my learning experience so much easier. This workshop was a great way to begin understanding the world of coding. Matt does a great job explaining the basics, the challenges, and the solutions. Overall I had a great experience completing this three-week workshop.
I've tried to learn on my own through three separate providers and SheCodes was by far the best one for me! I'm a new mom and a full-time Product Manager for a fortune 100 company so the most important thing for me was a program that didn't take up a lot of my time but held me to a deadline. SheCodes gives you the right amount of know-how and support tools to be able to go into the homework on your own -all within a couple of hours a day. The other thing I found better than previous learn-to-code programs was the fact you're using a real text-editor and web-page from the start. I feel really confident and ready to go further into my coding journey!

I have really enjoyed learning all new things over the last three weeks. Would defiantly recommend this for anyone looking to learn the basics on coding. This basic course was a good way to get a better understanding of what coding is really about. I really like watching the bite sized videos done by Matt followed by a challenge to test my new found knowledge.
This workshop was great for beginners because I felt like I was introduced to the coding world pretty well. The challenges and homework keeps the pace going but isn't too fast or difficult to understand. The lessons build on each other nicely. I feel ready to keep learning.

I had a lot of fun and learned a lot of new things. The workshop is challenging, but also easy enough to understand and complete while doing others tasks in your day to day life.
I started out with the idea that coding and computer programs were intimidating and that I could never learn them. Having completed this three-week workshop, I feel confident in my abilities to partake in front-end coding. I also feel like I'm now at an advantage to learn more coding, and eventually pursue a career in this domain.

I decided to start SheCodes basics because I'm interested in changing my field of employment and wanted to branch out into something that seems to have a lot of job opportunities. I was very nervous and skeptical at first as I had very little background or understanding of programming, or computing in general. My fears were put to rest almost immediately, the workshops were easy to follow, learning in little stages so you don't feel overwhelmed or have an information overload. Matt also doesn't use a lot of jargon which I particularly appreciated. I definitely will be continuing with SheCodes Plus or Pro very soon.

I came in with very limited knowledge of developing and I wanted to try something new - outside of what I studied over the years. SheCodes really held my hand through this and the minute I submitted my first homework assignment, I felt a sense of accomplishment I haven't felt in so long. I have always wanted to learn coding but felt intimidated by how much there is to learn. I decided to take a dive with this course and it was a great decision. I have learned so much in only a 3 week time frame and I plan on furthering my education by joining SheCodes Plus React.

Very practical, loved the objective approach I had learned without struggling with the languages. The support team was available always I needed.
I didn't think I would be able to complete the course, or at least not very well, but the way it is instructed by Matt, and the allowance to take it all in you own time, in small or large chunks is very helpful! The videos make it easy to go back to something you learned before if you get stuck, and the online support system on Slack is amazing. I feel much more confident and better equipped now that I have completed the course! I plan to take more courses with SheCodes now and gain a better future! Thank you so much <3
