As a designer, I used to build web pages on Wordpress, but I was very limited by not knowing about code. In the first classes I discovered many solutions that would have made my job a lot easier! The workshop explains everything in a simple way. I am very excited to continue learning!

I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone willing to learn/try out coding. I started from 0 and was surprised how steap my learning curve was. As our instructor Matt Delac pointed out several times, it is actually not a rocket science and anyone can learn how to code. The course is up-to-date and the lessons are well explained.
I have used visual scripting in the Unreal Engine for a senior project and that has been the extent of my coding experience. All the lessons were super easy to understand and had me super excited when things clicked in my own projects. I know its just the basics course and I have so much more to learn, but I am very glad I started here!
Awesome beginner's program! It made learning code easy and a lot of fun. I started implementing elements that I learned about from the first week. Worth the investment!

I really enjoyed learning React with SheCodes. Everything was explained in detail and Matt was a great instructor as always. I think this is a great way to learn the basics of this framework and all the really hard stuff about setting it up and how it differs from Vanilla JS. After completing the first introduction course with SheCodes, i wanted to learn more. I have wanted to learn to code for a while but didn't know where to start. Matt's tutorials are very easy to follow and understand and helps us to complete the weekly homework and final projects. The support on slack is amazing and if you are stuck, you will have a reply within hours which has been a massive help. This course has been more challenging than the introduction course, but I am proud to have completed it.
I am looking at changing careers and always wanted to try coding. (I'm good with languages) :-). It was my first coding experience and I think tones more to learn. I just feel like I touched the surface. Great thing about the course, it is a hands on experience. I am pretty sure I want to continue with Javascript which is more challenging than HTML or CSS. I got frustrated on many occasions but in the end you can rely on Matt's solutions and tech support. I'm looking forward to React.
I had been thinking quite a lot about starting to learn how to code but didn't really get into it with the books and courses I had. Finding SheCodes was the best that could have happened to me. I had a really great time learning to code within those past few weeks. The course is structured in a great way so that you get just the right amount of information at a time to process it and to make progress. When working on my final project I almost couldn't believe how far I had come and that I was now actually able to build my very first landing page from scratch. And brag about it. 😉

I learned a lot of essentials for my work, where I was stuck a lot because I was missing some basic knowledge about html, css and javascript when using builders. Anyways the basic SheCodes course is very basic and additional learning is necessary. I will definitely continue with advanced course!
SheCodes React was challenging. But putting in the hours paid off--I learned a lot for sure! This is definitely worth it for anyone looking to master the basics of React.
I loved learning new things in this course. Creating and coding my own weather app showed me that coding can be so much fun! I would recommend everyone to try this experience!
It was a great course and I learned a lot. Third week was quite a challenge, but it gave me a push to learn more.
I had tried to learn coding on many different platforms and felt like I was losing steam- until I joined SheCodes! As a busy mom with a full-time job, I don't have time for an intense full time bootcamp but I definitely needed a program with structure, deadlines, and a team ready to help. SheCodes fit that bill perfectly. I am excited to have turned in my Basics project and am quite proud of my work. I'm ready to embark onto the next workshop knowing my education is in good hands ♥️
I would like to recommend to everybody this second part of course. Don't be scared about it! :) I have learnt a lot of interesting stuff. Sometimes I was getting angry and annoyed when I couldn't handle with something, but after all, when the solution comes, satisfaction is the best feeling ever!

This basic coding course is highly enjoyable and easy to follow. The video lectures provide a logical step by step guide to the topics and Matt's unique recordings provide a personal touch that is relatable and welcoming. Immediately being able to use your new knowledge and see the results feels very rewarding and satisfying, and encourages further research and learning.

SheCodes (& the SheCodes team) allowed me to explore programming starting at level 0. I have no formal experience and was very scared to begin and continue the other workshops. But Matt is very good at explaining and the way the videoes are cut and made is perfect for online learning.The team is supportive and responds quickly to questions & the community jumps in to help too. i was too stubborn to use them for help during the first course, but the SheCodes cominuty have been a lifeline during this workshop. im excited to start on my final workshop soon!
Learn the basics of Vanilla JavaScript (plain JavaScript without any additional libraries) by creating a responsive weather app. The course guides you through the different features and gives you a nice guideline without restricting your creativity. Along the way you'll learn about the different building blocks of Bootstrap, how to host your code online and how to open-source it via GitHub. Get coding and push the different features as far as you like.
I have really enjoyed the SheCodes basic course! the lessons are well structured and easy to follow and the assignments really help you put what you have learnt into practice as well as giving you a push to do some research of your own - would definitely recommend as an intro to coding!

I have enjoyed the 3-week coding intro. I was happy to learn more about HTML, CSS, and Javascript. As a Marketing professional, I would recommend this to other people working in this field.
I do think this is a great program if you have the time and dedication to stay on top of your courses weekly. Really try not to push them off, i tended to forget more and got frustrated when i got extensions but we made it, we're here and its a new skill I am happy I took the time to learn
I really enjoyed SheCodes Responsive! It refreshed my memory on html and css and I also learned a lot more css tricks that will be helpful in the future. Really glad I took this workshop because now I can make websites a lot better with making it responsive and SEO friendly😊
It's been quite a challenge getting here, between school and work, coding has become a hobbie and an activity I like to do. I signed up for SheCodes Plus because I wanted to test my coding skills, and yet learned and enjoy all the programming. :)))

SheCodes Plus took me on an incredible coding journey where I explored a little bit of API, Github, Hosting, and Bootstrap worlds. I am extremely grateful for having been able to experience developer workflow on my own. It equipped me with the tools and knowledge necessary for progression in the IT sector and increased my appetite for learning more and more.

I've really loved taking part in the SheCodes Basics course. The course is engaging with its concise tutorials, where you can put what you've learnt to use straight away in the exercises. The format of the course has helped me to hold myself accountable, I love the deadlines and knowing that I'm working towards a final project where I can put everything I've learnt to use! I've been wanting to start my coding journey for 12+ months but have been stuck in tutorial purgatory until I found SheCodes. I feel that I'm really making progress and the community on Slack makes asking for help, and engaging with the SheCodes community, very easy.
This has been a fantastic introduction into the world of coding. The lessons are clearly organised, with interesting activities throughout. After years of planning to learn how to code I've finally started doing it. And it's all because of SheCodes! I loved the introductory video which explained everything in such a simple way that it gave me a feeling that I can totally do it. And here I am. I've just finished the SheCodes Plus and I feel hungry for more. All the workshop is so well planned, very detailed explanatory videos and the challenges was just the right thing for me to start learning how to code. And I know that I won't stop here.
I had previously enrolled in another course on a different website where I was learning about coding but the coding assignments weren't provided until the end. I was searching for a structured course where coding assignments would be provided throughout and I could track my learning. This beginner course did not disappoint and made it easier to review. I hope to enrol in advanced courses in the future.

Great intro for someone with ZERO background in coding. As a creative, it can sometimes be difficult to fully understand the parameters that developers are working within which is what prompted me to register with SheCodes. Through this workshop I gained basic skills and understanding of HTML, CSS and Java, as well as the relationship between the three. I'm excited to learn more through additional workshops with SheCodes in the future!
I started this program top be able to learn how to code websites, as I have a vision for a business website that I have in mind. It is a very complex site and in order for me to understand everything that goes into it. I need to learn what goes on in the backend. These first 3 weeks have been amazing and I have learned so much in regards to website and coding that exact specifications. Matt has been an amazing instructor and has made it easy to understand. What I once thought was a bunch of gibberish, now makes sense. I look forward to the next course as I bought the Pro.

The SheCodes Basic's Workshop was enjoyable and a great introduction to coding. I already had basic HTML and CSS knowledge but not Javascript. I appreciate how well-organized all of the SheCodes workshops have been, and especially that I can work at my own pace. I feel proud of the things I've been able to create! However, I felt that SheCodes and SheCodes Plus were structured best, since we applied our learning to related (but not exact) challenges. With React, it was more like I would follow along and copy, though I could change the styling as I pleased. Still, I would recommend at least the first two workshops for those who are interested in trying out coding with little background to build upon.
I had a limited amount of coding knowledge coming into this workshop, but I feel like the work was structured well and easy to understand. I loved the access to the slack chat it was a wonderful resource while completing this course. I'm excited to continue learning!
Learning Javascript was very challenging, but the step-by-step videos with Matt demystify the entire process and even made it a lot of fun going through the lessons. It is mandatory to dedicate a few hours of practice.
If anyone is curious about coding, I highly recommend Shecodes! I've learnt so much in three weeks its incredible. A big thank you to matt and the Shecodes team for being there every step of the way. Can't wait to start Shecodes plus. 😀

This was such a fun adventure into the world coding! I feel like I've begun learning a new language - that of computers, which has allowed me to design my own projects! Learning the basics of coding is fundamental. I know by experience as my first taste of coding I jumped right into Python and I was scarred. I could not understand what certain variables or tools it applies to so I put coding on a stop. Then I started seeing SheCodes on my IG ad feeds and reading its testimonials from other students that made me want to jump back onto coding and its one of the best decision for my 2021 goals!
I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn coding from scratch. This is awesome.

However, I never followed through as it seemed unattainable for me as a person without any concept of what coding actually was in the first place. As insurmountable a problem it appeared to be, when Matt compared code to language it made much more sense to me. In comparison to the introduction workshop, this one was really challenging for me as I already had basic HTML and CSS knowledge, but not JavaScript.
