I had so much fun practicing coding with SheCodes. The lessons are quite short (still I learned so much!) and therefore very well manageable at home with two young kids. I was not sure if coding was the way to go for me, (I definitely need to make a wise career choice at this point in my life.) but the Basic Course was a great and affordable way to get to try it for a good while. I AM HOOKED! And so proud of my first little page, that I made!
SheCodes Responsive was an excellent workshop, with very informative and thorough lessons, challenges, homework assignments, and a final project, which provides you great opportunities to apply newly learned responsive front-end development skills to your unique creative vision. Matt's style of teaching is incredibly clear and concise, as well as engaging and empowering, really drawing you into the creative process of coding and inviting you to thoroughly interact with, connect to, assimilate and apply the material and skills you learn throughout the Responsive workshop. The SheCodes team is vey informative, helpful, supportive and kind. Everyone on the team does an excellent job at quickly responding to questions and making sure questions are thoroughly and effectively answered, with detailed and clear explanations. The first time I heard about SheCodes Workshop was from a friend of mine. She completed the course and shared how much she enjoyed it. After some time, I started thinking that it would be good to broaden my horizons and learn something entirely new from my field of expertise. I was skeptical of my coding abilities at first, but all for nothing. Matt is a great teacher! The way he explained the material was concise, digestible, and, most importantly - doable. The more and more I learn about coding the more intrigued I feel. I've always loved a good challenge and coding has definitely tested my patience but the feeling when something works is the greatest! This portfolio project has really put all my knowledge to the test and I've learned so much about myself. I now have the confidence to build other portfolios and responsive websites. I intend to keep practicing those skills by offering a helping hand to friends who may benefit from a website portfolio or responsive website. I've come so far since I first started in January and it's only the start! Next stop... React! I can't wait to continue learning on my coding journey!
I'm really happy I decided to sign up for the SheCodes Basic course! It was really fun to learn something new that I didn't mind working on after work. It's definitely something I will be adding to my resume and hopefully get to use in the future! It won't be long before I sign up for the other SheCodes courses that are offered now that I've gotten a taste for it.
This intro class was worth every penny! I learned so much useful information and feel empowered to continue creating my own web pages and am considering continuing my coding education. I now have an understanding of the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Help is always readily available whenever you need it.
SheCodes has really given me the structure I needed to solidify my skills in coding. It was such a treat to relearn all of the things I learned myself, but from someone who knows exactly what each things is about.

I never really thought about coding or trying anything computer related. However, I came across this course and was intrigued. After completing this course I fell like there is so much more I can learn about coding and computers in general. This was a great introductory class which was very well structured and made it easy to learn.
I entered the Pro course to be able to learn JS, since I already know a lot of HTML and CSS and in this first module I was already able to learn a bit of JS and do some fun things with it and it also helped me in my professional job.
Learning React has been a great experience, very interesting, not without challenges, but definitely worth it. The final project was a great and fun way to practice all the tools learned. Now it's over, I wish the course had been a bit longer!
I highly recommend SheCodes for any individual who wishes to take charge of their own work and creativity. Learning coding has helped me better understand developers, and the challenges they might be facing. Apart from that, I have had a great time creating my own project which has been extremely fulfilling in a number of ways!

This was a great way to be introduced to Front-end coding. Easy to follow, with exercises that allow you to sink in the learnings.
Great course - some weeks were more challenging that others. But I felt like we covered at lot in this course and feel like I have learned lots of new skills
When I bought the course I was scared. Scared that I will find out that I don't get it. That's too difficult for me. That I will just waste money. I was wrong! turned out that I don't suck and I actually enjoy coding. At least at this stage, and that I want to learn more. I really liked classes with quick videos explaining and showing most important things. Although, almost at the end I realized that there are some extra info below the videosπ€¦ββοΈ. What works for me are challenges and weekly homework as well as the final project. I think it helps to learn better through the whole course step by step without being left with everything for the final project. I would definitely recommend the basic course to anyone. It's a great opportunity to test the water without investing big money into something we are not sure we want.
I can easily imagine that everything I just learnt could be taught in a super complicated way. But SheCodes team managed to make the lessons fun and easily understandable! Hopefully this course was one of many steps to my career change.

SheCodes Basics was a good start as I am a beginner at coding. I'm a visual learner, and Matt made it easy, as the videos explained step by step.
My best friend had recently begun to learn coding and I was excited for her but also not super familiar with what that meant as a career path. I happened across the free coding class from SheCodes and I was intrigued, if only to get a better understanding of what my friend is learning. The class really opened my eyes to what learning coding can do for a career pivot, especially for women. I decided to try the SheCodes basics course and I'm so excited to learn more! This platform really takes away the intimidation factor that I think scares away a lot of people. I have never considered myself a math or tech savvy person. This course has helped me focus on digesting the concepts, rather than getting caught up in self-conscious anxiety about whether I have enough technical understanding to do this. I also love that this course includes lots of challenges and projects that get the learner actively using the skills that are being taught. I also love that there is reliable online support to turn to when you get stuck and need help! This course has been so amazing and I love telling my other female friends about it in case they want to try it.

This was a fun and easy way to learn basic coding. If you have no idea if you'd even like coding this is a wonderful and quick way to find out. Personally, I had a blast.
I enjoyed learning with SheCodes and how each lesson allowed me to immediately apply what I learned. While the lessons were easy to follow, there was a lot of information that provided me many tools to ultimately develop and customize my own website.
I enjoyed SheCodes Plus and the process of developing the skills to create a fully-functioning weather app! I learned so much in the last 8 weeks and I am excited to continue to advance my coding knowledge!
SheCodes definitely has helped me learn more about coding and has broadened my interest in learning more about more advanced skills. It's awesome to learn something completely new and I am excited about the opportunities that may come from this.

When I was in high school (twenty years ago!), I took a couple web development classes and would spend hours after school creating web pages and graphics. I knew I loved creating things for the web, but always did it on the side as more of a hobby since my career was in education. I had been wanting to brush up on my skills for a while, and knew there were a bunch of workshops out there. I picked SheCodes because of the way Matt emphasized that this should be fun...and it was! I've loved seeing how front end development has changed since I first learned and also learning new tools like Visual Studio Code. Thank you for helping me re-learn how to build fun things!
