I have no prior knowledge about coding until I came across SheCodes on one of the groups I belong to on Facebook. I put in my application and that's one of the best decisions I've made so far. I thought coding is men's thing, but SheCodes is changing the narratives. I believe with everything I've learnt I can change my family financial status.
My passion is making a contribution in the world and now I found that I can solve some of the world's problems by coding which I knew about when I started university. It was just awesome how you can write code and see something happening with the code you wrote, now I strive to always improve my coding skills and I am grateful to platforms such as SheCodes which gives Girls opportunities to learn and grow our coding skills and making a contribution to the world.

You learn how to make your code responsive to any screen size, build a unique online portfolio, and create multi-page websites. By the end, you have the skills to create polished, professional websites that look great on any device!

When I first started with SheCodes, I was nervous. But I reminded myself why I began this journey- to learn and grow. This was a great course. It was easy to follow along with the videos and I really felt I was learning a lot throughout. I definitely need to keep working on my skills but this was a nice foundation to have. I would definitely recommend this course to others who are interested in becoming Software Engineers or are just interested in learning about the topic.
