I knew SheCodes from last December and I started to have interest in coding after their free coding class. I have tried other coding courses but I feel the teaching methods are not suitable for me. Matt is an amazing teacher because he makes coding become easy to learn. Now I can build a website after the SheCodes Basics!
SheCodes Basics challenged me in an amazing way. I was a novice to coding, and I learned that it is possible and available to everyone.
I had a great experience. The course can become a bit challenging, but it was also a lot of fun. The instructor Matt, made the material easy to understand. I learned a lot in the course, and I feel like I have a much better understanding of the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript .

My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding SheCodes Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜.
I had a great time learning with SheCodes. Every video is easy to understand and the challenges are fun, stimulating and great to apply everything you've learned and a little bit more. Wow. Finally, I completed SheCodesPro! Feeling proud! From zero coding knowledge to full stack front end developer using JS and React. It gives an immense confidence to move forward in tech field and explore different opportunities. This course builds on the basic HTML, CSS and Javascript skills developed in SheCodes Basics and applies them to a real-world, practical project in developing a functional weather app using an API. The course content is fantastic, broken down into manageable sections that are easy to follow. The support of the SheCodes community is a valuable part of the learning process. The final project was so fun to work on and I found SheCodes Plus incredibly rewarding and satisfying, and can't wait to get started on the next SheCodes course!

Taught in small easy-to-digest chunks and helps build your knowledge relatively easily. The instructor is fantastic, I am a slow learner so I can't wait to continue with the Plus bundle to hopefully cement current knowledge and expand on it!
Taking this Basics workshop made me enjoy learning how to code. Some aspects were a little challenging at first, but Matt explains each lesson in such a simple way that makes it easy to understand. This was a great tutorial on React! However, I do wish that this had been a different project from the previous course, or that we had at least learned the unit conversion all the way through to the end.

I'm filled with so much excitement right now. I have learned so, so, so much from this workshop. I enjoyed every minute, challenging here and there, but a bit of patience with myself helped to bring me back together again. I now understand HTML, CSS and Javascript a little better, who would have thought a small girl like me from a small town in South Africa, would be out here learning the backend and frontend of a website, wow.
I recently completed the SheCodes+ coding course, and I must say that it was an incredible experience. Throughout the 8 weeks, I learned so much about coding and programming, and the final project, which was to create a weather app, was the perfect way to showcase what I had learned. The curriculum was well-structured and easy to follow, making it accessible to anyone interested in coding, regardless of their prior experience. What I appreciated most about the course was the emphasis on hands-on learning. We were given plenty of opportunities to apply what we had learned, and the final project was the perfect way to tie everything together. Overall, I would highly recommend the SheCodes+ coding course to anyone looking to learn to code. It was a challenging but rewarding experience.

SheCodes Responsive has helped me deepen my knowledge into coding and sharpen my skills thru challenges given each lesson and by building a real-life project-my very own portfolio showcasing my project to potential employers. Like SheCodes Basics and Plus, I received all the necessary tools, updated materials and software, together with their live technical support in case I’m feeling stuck and needed help with the assignments. Importantly, I can take the lessons at my own pace, it can be easily accessed any time and it’s not a problem if I needed more time to finish the course; I can ask for extension to so that I can get back to it any time I’m ready. I find it quite rewarding that I was able to solve each problem by myself, getting back to Matt’s bite-size lessons which are all very clear. He delivers topics such as advanced Bootstrap (Navigation, Utility Classes, etc.), Flexbox, Multiple Page Hosting, Media Queries, and more in such a way that it is transparent, fun to learn and easy to understand. SheCodes PLUS is definitely a step-up from Basics. I really enjoyed creating the weather app and learning the complexity of functions, api integrations, and HTML structure. I was able to follow-along to Matt's teaching, and I used Slack to ask any questions I may of had. The Athena AI was useful too, that was a nice feature.
This has been an awesome re-emergence back into the world of coding! I took some coding in college years ago and forgot almost everything I learned 😮 This course was super easy to follow and I feel like I am well equipped to go to the next level! 😄
I learned so much this time. It was challenging at times but I really enjoyed creating the weather app.
I am in a middle of a career change and wanted to try coding to see if this was something I can do and most importantly want to do for a new path in my life. I was nervous at first about these courses being online, but SheCodes made it very easy to do and having the videos to go back and listen to Matt's instructions worked better then in-person classes. I loved it and found out I am not bad at coding! I am looking forward to learning more in the other advanced courses in SheCodes. Don't be scared to learn something new at any age. I could not recommend this workshop enough! I've been able to learn the basics within just 3 weeks. The foundational knowledge I've attained makes it easy to build and advance my skills, making the tech world a much less intimidating place to enter.

It has been a great experience so far. I had no previous knowledge about coding but the instructor, Matt made it really interesting to follow and understand. though i had issues with the sound from Week One, it didn't deter my learning. Three weeks ago I knew absolutely nothing about coding. I can't believe how much I have learnt in 3 weeks! The layout of the workshop was easy to follow and engaging; each lesson consisted of a video lesson, a challenge to complete and a suggested solution for the challenge. I have thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes Basics and would recommend it to anyone starting their coding journey.
Gosh! I cannot find a better word to say how awesome this workshop was; I was so afraid to try to learn coding being unsuccessful in learning virtually, Matt is an incredible teacher, and the way he explains everything throughout the workshop is incredible. The most exciting part of my day in the past 3 weeks was spending time in the evenings after work coding via SheCodes👩💻 Basics. I enjoyed learning the basics of how to build web pages using HTML, CSS and Javascript and challenging myself during the Final Project. The lessons are super easy to follow and practical. This part was way more difficult than the SheCodes Basic. It was just mind-blowing! But when you finish this course, you think: "It is possible". Yes, there is still a long-long way to go, so many new things to learn and master, but step by step, with perseverance, self-discipline and constant learning , we all can become better. Being able to build an entire app by myself after following all the lessons is a massive confidence boost, not forgetting to mention the fun I've had!
