Now, I can create awesome websites that look good and do really cool stuff. Connecting to APIs and learning a bit of advanced JavaScript was a blast. I was worried about understanding all the JavaScript covered in SheCodes Plus, it covered loads of new topics, but Matt really made sure to explain things to the tea so that it is easily understood.
I feel really accomplished after completing this workshop and have learned a lot! You feel really satisfied once you're able to solve problems and overcome challenges, eg figure out why something's not working. If you get stuck, you can ask for help any time too, and also the AI tool is super helpful. The challenges set are at a really good level.
This was a bit more challenging than the past ones but become interesting day after day and a long way to long yet to come. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to learn how to code!

These 3 weeks that i spent coding with SheCodes Basics has been absolutely exceptional. The information that i was able to learn was not easy but it definitely was doable and i enjoyed every single class provided. Matt is very easy to understand and pushes students to take accountability for their learning by encouraging us to research outside of the course when we don't understand or need more information about a concept. Finding info on our own will be a real life scenario, so I appreciate that the answers are not always fed. Still, Matt does answer many of the questions that I feel other courses do not.

Learning to code was something that was in the back of my mind for awhile and since goin in and out of college I knew I loved it. For the last three years, I worked in the food industry, and even though I enjoyed my job I knew I wanted to explore a new field I wanted . This year I found myself with more time on my hands and decided that I wanted to explore coding. I wanted to expand my knowledge of the tech world, what it had to offer, and what my role could be within it. Honestly this is just the beginning of the course and its so much info and I love it.
Learning how to create a multi-page project was a challenge that I have learned to overcome. Thankfully, with the available help provided, I was able to construct the website and publish it on Netlify.
Great course! The learning curve is quite steep, and you will almost certainly hit bumps in the road over these few weeks. But I really enjoyed the repetition we got in the final couple of weeks, to contextualize everything we've gone over so far. I am always amazed at how much I have progressed and learned by the end of each workshop and it is also true for the responsive workshop. The responsive workshop is by far my favourite one, we got to learn about media queries, and CSS variables, and also build on the learning from previous workshops. Matt's explanation for each new information we are learning is easy to understand and follow as well as how the learning can be applied in different ways.
