This course has been challenging and hair pulling at times, however I have learnt a lot and even enjoyed myself. I am glad I was able to make it to the end of the course, understand new concepts, in HTML, CSS and JS, and be able to apply it in my homework and in my project.
The course was well-organized and easy to follow, especially the videos which are short and precise about the topic. The thing that made this platform unique is the fact that it has it all, like instructors that know the subject area well and explain it well so that everyone can understand within a short amount of time. There are homework's and projects to see your progress, and another platform called slack that help you communicate with other students/peers and the SheCodes team. I learned so much in a short amount of time even though I didn't have any prior knowledge about the subjects (html, CSS and JavaScript) before and now I'm already applying what I learned to my work. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to learn new skills or have new career.
SheCodes Plus was a bit more challenging but it was so much fun to do all the homeworks and learn so much. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher other than Matt. He's the best.
Learning react is very crucial for anyone who wants to work as a front end developer and Shecode's react course is great for learning it. It was a bit challenging but I could get answer to all my problems by watching videos and doing homework again. I enjoyed this course a lot like other Shecodes' courses and I am very thankful to our great instructor Dear Matt.
I was afraid to start because I had tried to learn coding before and it was difficult, but this workshop taught me how easy it is, I had fun doing the challenges and homeworks. It was very easy to follow and stay on schedule.

SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to coding for me. The homework and final project kept me accountable. In addition to the lessons, there were plenty of resources to help me with my work. The Slack chat and Athena AI helped me immensely to figure out and fix problems with my code. I usually so three videos after each work day, then completed all the challenges, and then I needed to spend only about two hours of my weekend to complete homework. This workshop has been amazing, I started off so nervous not knowing anything about coding or what it entailed. The lessons were easy to follow, informative and left me feeling confident about my abilities to complete the challenges and homework given at the end of each week. I work a 9-5 full time job so I would complete my lessons after I finish work. There wasn't one time where I did not look forward to logging in after work and getting stuck in to the new lessons. It has been such an enjoyable process and has left me wanting to learn more and more! I am very excited to see where my journey will take me now.
Since joining SheCodes Basic, I feel like I have learned so much than I did going the traditional route in school! Matt made it easy to understand the concept that was being taught. Despite being an introductory course, I think it is very well structured. The topics covered were well explained in order to meet the challenges, the weekly homeworks and the final project, which I really enjoyed doing. I hope to take the following courses soon to continue learning
SheCodes Basics was a great way to start learning Web Development! The lessons are thorough, easy to follow up and the homework and project really put together all the information we learned over the last weeks. Two of my favourite things about the last weeks: the way the course is designed still pushes you to research on your own, which I found challenging but rewarding. Also, the fact that the course allows for self management - you can choose the times that better suit you, there are deadlines but all the classes are recorded so people who work or have other responsibilities can manage to learn and build a new career for themselves. Thank you, Matt and the team, for making it fun to learn a new language 🙃 we'll meet again in SheCodes Max 😄
In SheCodes Plus I used SheCodes's team support in Slack many times and It was really useful. I think that this online support in doing homework is a very huge advantage. You may have access to many courses for coding but without friendly support to do exercises and homework you may become frustrated of struggling to fix the bugs.
Just finished SheCodes Basics, and there wasn't a moment when I felt like I couldn't understand it. Homework was fun to make. Before enrolling this workshop, I was sure of my knowledge of HTML & CSS, but any line of JS would make my brain go blank! And during the workshop, I could relisten and reread information about JS that was hard to understand, and eventually I got all lessons! Can't wait to start my next workshop 🤗

I really enjoyed my time learning the basics of web development. I've been very unsure whether I wanted to pursue a a career in tech and was looking to test the waters and I can't believe how Matt made this transition as smooth and digestible! I recently participated in the SheCodes Plus coding workshop, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. Despite not being in a physical classroom, and somewhat challenging, the instructor did an excellent job of creating an engaging and interactive learning environment. The workshop was structured in a way that allowed for plenty of hands-on practice, with coding exercises, weekly homework and final project that challenged me to apply what I had learned. The online format allowed me to work at my own pace and revisit material as needed, which was incredibly helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this online coding workshop to anyone interested in learning to code or looking to improve their skills. The quality of instruction and the interactive format made for an enjoyable and rewarding experience that I would not hesitate to participate in again.
This was a fun and extremely challenging workshop. I had to use embed websites, images and video and a lot of CSS to make all the homework and the final project Responsive but I am very happy with the result. Matt's help was crucial as usual and I can't wait for the next chapter!

I am a very creative and curious person but also love things that require problem-solving and cognitive stimulation. When I found Shecodes, I didn't know what to expect. I wanted to try out coding and see what it would be like to create my own landing page from scratch, but I felt like I was diving into the 'deep-end' with no prior knowledge or experience. I thought I would have to be super intelligent and love maths/science to code. I was so wrong! Shecodes showed me how taking the risk was worth it. I fell in love with coding during the 3 weeks of trying it out! Matt and everyone at Shecodes provide a welcoming and supportive space for beginners and people of all skill levels to dive into coding. Matt's engaging and easy-to-follow video lessons, as well as the creative and fun challenges/homework provided, have meant that I have gained so much confidence over the 3-week course in a field that I thought I wouldn't thrive. SheCodes is an amazing platform for all women to become curious and be creative through interactive coding workshops! I am intrigued by technology, coding and digital development but also have a passion for gender equality, and so I love the ethos of Shecodes at what they are doing for women worldwide; from opening up potential career paths to women in a sector where female representation is sparse, to even providing people with a starting point to develop and flourish within a new hobby/ interest. I am now going to continue coding and maybe look into careers in the Tech industry. I'd highly recommend giving coding a shot, especially through a Shecodes workshop!
Wow! I am very impressed with myself and the progress so far. Just take a look at my project and you will see how much I have improved in just a couple of weeks. The regular hands-on homework makes learning very fast and even though SheCode is an online workshop, the learning structure is very good. I am so impressed. Learning the basics of coding has been as intense as challenging but at the same time really enjoyable and in a way, easy. The videos are really efficient and Matthieu's explainations cannot be clearer. I could not complete the week 1 homework and challenges in due time but it was easy to request an extension, and the team was very understanding. I found the course very flexible, fun and interesting. I feel like I really understand how HTML, CSS and Javascript work, and feel more confident for the future. I was starting a UX design course at the same time, and was hoping to learn about the basics of coding since employers often like potential UX designers to be able to communicate and understand developers. I feel so much more confident now with the basic but yet thorought and solid knowledge SheCodes gave me!
Biggest project yet! compared to the previous homework, this one is a bit challenging but absolutely rewarding. I learned to integrate a lot of third-party sites to complete the project.

Excellent course, would highly recommend to everyone who would like to start coding! Each week, there are a number of tutorials which you can watch when convenient and you can apply what you learned in the homework assignment. I absolutely loved this course! Matt Delac's teaching style was engaging and refreshing. He uses easy-to-understand and relatable examples to explain some complicated concepts, especially in Javascript. I like how the course was structured, too. With practical exercises that I can complete independently. But also, having a deadline for each homework was helpful in preventing me from procrastinating.

The basics course seems to have been well structured into bite-sized, easy to understand and remember videos and challenges. I liked having the chance to summarize at the end of each week in the form of homework. I would say the course is busy-life friendly. I was relieved to have the chance to apply for extensions when life happened. Overall, I had a lot of fun finishing this course especially, the final project.

The videos being outdated made the final stages of connecting with the API more complex than it needed to be. I also feel like Week 4's homework solution could have been much better explained. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this course and appreciated the assistance on Slack - thank you kindly for that!

SheCodes makes learning really fun with a great balance of theory, practicals and code-a-long videos. I've found that the structure of the lessons has helped me to pick up concepts quickly and you do feel you have achieved something each week with the homework tasks. I've also picked up lots of tools and tips that aren't necessarily taught in other self-learning platforms I've tried.
