I had no clue about coding prior to this course and thanks to SheCodes Basic, within just 3 weeks I was able to build a page that even my software-developer boyfriend is impressed with. :) The course is fantastically built and Matt is an absolute superstar - his next-level teaching talent combined with light-hearted humor made the entire experience into a fun game without a trace of stress. Thank you, Matt, and SheCodes Team and I look forward to another chapter in my coding journey with you!
Lessons are very structured as always. I love that we are building towards working on building a functional web application, and the lessons throughout are broken down to teach the essentials we need to learn for the HTML, CSS, and JS + how to use GIT and deploy the website in the end. Felt like we have a goal to work towards while learning the harder concept. It's also always so good to see Matt code it from scratch at the videos and see the way he tries to debug the code when it's not working. so helpful.
The Basics Add-On project was fun. I enjoyed it, it was something I had wanted to learn since the beginning. I will be using these codes on my final projects for sure.
I have zero background in the tech industry but after seeing the wonderful work life balance it has offered my husband, I became interested. I was scared to switch from something I am just getting comfortable with (nursing) and going to the complete polar opposite end. It really is like learning a new language but Matt and his SheCodes team have done a wonderful job of fitting it into bite sized pieces and offering enough opportunities to practice that you will in fact start speaking the language! It's a lot of fun. The best way I can describe it is being in an art class that asks you to replicate, or create, a piece of art with whatever means you know to get to it and its a puzzle! No one code is the same but the end product is very similar.
Enrolling in SheCodes was one of the best decisions I've ever made. As someone with little to no coding experience, I was initially intimidated by the world of programming. However, from day one, the instructors' passion, expertise, and commitment to our success were evident. The curriculum was incredibly well-structured, covering everything from the fundamentals of HTML and CSS to a JavaScript frameworks. The hands-on projects and real-world simulations challenged me to think critically and problem-solve like a true developer.I can confidently say that I'm equipped with the skills and knowledge in the tech space now.

I recently completed an immersive coding workshop that surpassed all my expectations. Throughout the duration of the workshop, I gained invaluable skills and knowledge that have significantly enriched my understanding of web development.One of the highlights of the workshop was learning how to effectively replicate intricate designs into functional code. Despite the complexity of the designs, Matt provided clear guidance and hands-on support, enabling me to tackle each challenge with confidence. Moreover, the workshop equipped me with essential techniques for optimizing websites for search engines (SEO). I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to participate in this coding workshop.
this has been a good experience for me. I enjoyed ever single lesson. Matt really knows how to teach and I would like to say that he is the best teacher and he knows how to break every element into smaller details. Career hardship brought me low, but being introduced to and getting on board with SheCodes has given me a lot of hope and excitement for the kind of career change I never knew I needed or that would excite me as much as coding does. I'm super proud to have done the Basics and Plus workshops, getting into the nitty gritty of design with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and I've had loads of fun playing around with the applications introduced through the program! Embrasing on a journery of learning HTML,Javascript, CSS, alongside mastering the deployment process from GitHub to Netlify, has been a thrilling experience. While each step presented it's own unique challenges , particullary evident in the development of the weather project. The journery was immensely rewarding. Navigating the complexities of version control & automated deployments was initially daunting but with perseverance & support , I triumphed. crafting the weather app with it's dynamic functionality and polished interface , epitomised the fusion of creativity & technical prowess. Despite the ocassional frustration, the process became exhilarating adventure, fueling my passion for web development. Deploying my projects online not only showcased my progress but instilled a profound sense of accomplishment . In essence, the journery of learning to code and sharing my creation has been an inspiring testament to the power of persistence, creativity and growth.

This course was AMAZING! I was surprised by how much we were learning in just a couple of weeks! Funny enough I have always been horrible at anything related to computers, even though I started with zero knowledge I was able to follow along and complete the tasks. very good teacher and great lessons!
This extension of the basics was a great way to boost the skills I've acquired during the previous workshop. It was fun interacting more with CSS using the gradient features and controlling themes by incorporating a "dark" feature. It was also great learning how to change and manipulate images to boost the way we see and interact with a website.
I learned how to harness the power of Bootstrap, Figma, and other tools while building on the coding knowledge from previous workshops. As always, Matt did a great job explaining concepts in simple terms. It was a fun experience to create a responsive multi-page portfolio.
This was so far the most challenging yet exciting workshop I have done. I learned so much and had so much fun working on my final project that I even became a little addicted to coding. I hope to keep up the learning and growth in the next SheCodes workshop!
Purchasing the SheCodes Basics course was a spontaneous decision for me. That being said, I do not regret it, not a single second. Originally I thought that coding just was not for me, and I could not do it, as I had failed to learn Python at University. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is probably (most definitely) the most fun workshop included in the SheCodes Max Course. It totally becomes what you make of it, but I poured my heart and soul into this project (there are still improvements to be done but I'll get working on those after this testimonial haha). I learnt a tremendous amount along the way, by challenging myself and diving deeper into things I found necessary to execute my vision. I'm now looking forward to get to work on some real projects to add to my portfolio.
