Having just completed the Basics programme, I would highly recommend this to anyone starting out on their coding journey. The training videos are bite-sized, so it's easy to take in all the information that you need. The concepts are broken down really well and the challenges and homework have been a lot of fun to complete. I can't wait to move on to some more advanced coding now and carry on the rest of the journey!

Meticulously paced, with a very intriguing and fun project. Loved every aspect of this workshop. It's a transformative chapter, for one wishing to learn about AI and its applications. My highlight was learning to articulate my context concisely, providing as much detail to maximize the use of AI assistants.

SheCodes is one of the best learning platforms for coding. I myself didn't know anything about coding but I quickly learnt so much about coding in a short period of time, all thanks to Matt and the team. Coming back to JS after all the responsive fun was hard at first, but once I got the gist of React, I just soaked it up. Once again a really fun and valuable workshop by Matt Delac. Getting familiar and professional with React, while building a Weather application, felt amazing. Thanx to SheCodes π

I'm in the process of changing careers, so I figured having basic coding skills would be useful. I came across a free SheCodes webinar, and it was so informative I decided to purchase their coding basics workshop, and boy am I glad I did! Matt did a fantastic job teaching all the basic aspects of coding in a fun, easily digestible way. He was so thorough with each and every lesson, and made it so easy to understand.
This course was designed to perfection. I have learnt how to make an application interactive and fetching APIs , which i find really cool working with live data. I am confident in the skills i have learnt,especially the fundamentals of Vanilla JavaScript. Takes a lot of practice,but the way the lessons and challenges are structured, you learn so much.
This has been quite the experience for me, honestly! Fun, informative and a very big learning curve. I've loved every single minute of absorbing knowledge and creating, and just engaging with other peers on the course. I used to think that coding was for the super intelligent people. This beginner course explained things clearly, with examples I could understand. We even built programs ourselves, not just listened to lectures! There was a helpful online community too, which kept me going. I came to SheCodes with no coding experience, but thanks to the clear explanations and fun projects, I can now build basic websites! The course was perfect for beginners, and I highly recommend it

This course covers the basics of front-end coding very clearly while making learning incredibly fun. Any questions I had were quickly resolved. Participating in the SheCodes Workshop Plus Add-on was an absolute delight! Not only did I have a blast creating a world clock, but I also learned new functions in JavaScript.. I got to do hands-on activities that made learning easy and enjoyable. Every time I learned something new, I could see myself getting better, which made me want to learn even more. Thanks to SheCodes and Matt, I feel really excited to keep learning how to code, knowing that I have the skills and confidence from this workshop.
This one was definitely very challenging but still fun nonetheless!
8 weeks of knowledge, not complaining at all. I have learned a lot about search engine, API integration(it was not easy but taking my time and replaying the videos until I got it right helped a lot, also not to forget help from the slack team as well) and so much more. It is crazy that I can now create a functioning forecast weather search app. Grateful for the opportunity to learn such skill at no cost.
I highly recommend this course. The lessons are very well-structured and Matt is a great instructor able to transfer his passion for coding through the lessons. I was having much fun learning and applying my new skills. The challenges go well with the insights achieved during the course, challenging me to just the right amount, and making sure that I got what each lesson was about. Great format. Responsive add-on was a very fun project to work on. It was interesting to build a responsive landing page with no bootstrap. In life we learn that less is more and this project truly showed that.
The Basic Add On workshop had even more learning, great lessons and a fun project to work on at the end of the course! Definitely would recommend taking Basic Add On in addition to the Basic workshop that is offered!

I have wanted to learn how to code for such a long time and so happy I found SheCodes! It was the perfect way for a beginner to learn. The course was structured really well and I found myself looking forward to it. SheCodes made learning to code fun!
Learning is one thing but replicating or creating something from scratch with comprehension is another thing. Coding requires logic and continuing the journey requires persistence. Coding is challenging, and requires time, effort, and trial and error. Passion is not necessary but it can help. So why do I love coding or continue to find myself doing this? I believe its because I can bring an idea to life by words. We do not hear this a lot but coding and creativity sounds like two different worlds which in fact work well together. Advanced CSS and JS was a beast together with codesandbox, but I was an even greater beast! I fought, I almost quit, but kept on fighting and here I am. Someone previously commented "Be encouraged and keep at it!", a special thank you to them, due to the particular comment amongst many other things I kept fighting. Moreover, I cannot get enough of the lessons, I just want to keep doing them. I like to say "There is so much to learn and see," I love learning and SheCodes Plus definitely had a lot of learning. I cannot wait for the next phase, I cannot help but wonder what other interesting things are there for me. Since from a young age I've always loved anything that had to do with computers and technology in general, but unfortunately life happened so I could not afford to go to university. Fortunately when I was scrolling through Tik Tok one day, I came across a video at spoke about how SheCodes is the perfect coding course for beginners. So, later on that day I went to the SheCodes website to check out the available courses, and to my surprise, they offered funding for people like me who are eager to learn but do not have the means to do so. I then applied to the SheCodes foundation. A few weeks later, I was notified that I will be starting the coding journey soon. I have been coding for three weeks now and I am grateful for the fruitful opportunity, and I am looking forward to the rest of the coding course. πππ

Having tried the She Codes Add-on, It has been a valuable asset in boosting my confidence with CSS and HTML. These modules provided clear guidance and practical exercises that enhanced my understanding of web development fundamentals. However, when it came to JavaScript, I found the content to be overly simplistic and lacking in depth. While the program excelled in spoon-feeding concepts, I was left wanting more substantial lessons to truly master JavaScript. Overall, the She Codes Add-on was beneficial for my CSS and HTML skills, but fell short in delivering comprehensive JavaScript instruction and information on the DOM etc. I want the theory behind it.
It was such a great experience to join SheCodes Basic. I have gained so much knowledge and many new skills that I will be able to use in the future.Β It is a great way to expand your coding skills and learn new things in a fun and supportive environment. The lessons were well organised and easy to follow, and the challenges and projects were a great way to practice what we learned. I had so much fun with this workshop! I loved to experiment with various color schemes for the backgrounds and try to match everything to make it look pretty. The short videos were super helpful because they focused on one thing at a time, making everything easier to grasp. Can't wait to dive into more workshops!
I had a lot of fun building this Dictionary App in the React Add-On Workshop. I like how Matt goes through the basics of the app building process, while giving clues to add further functionality if the student so desires.
