I love how I have forever access to all the things I just learned, in case I ever get stuck again. Coding is pretty daunting and frustrating, but Matt managed to make it a fun challenge! I´ve tried different ways to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JS and I liked this one the most! ...and not just because of the flexibility and being able to learn after a day of work. I found it really great how Matt explained the materials and I enjoyed doing the challenges. This was the first time that I`ve actually had fun coding. I've learnt so much over the duration of the course and really enjoyed every minute. Coming from knowing very little about coding and the start of the course, I feel proud of what I have achieved. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to commit enough time to the course on top of a full time job but I've found myself looking forward to spending my time on lessons and challenges in the evenings and weekends. The lessons were fun and engaging and support always on hand in slack. I can't wait to start the next part of my coding journey with SheCodes React 😊.

It was challenging and interesting to learn how to create a functioning weather app. The SheCodes Plus Workshops are well structured. The Slack channel was also really helpful when I had additional questions to ask about the lessons.

I knew I was going to find the workshops interesting, I just didn't expect having so much fun!! The course is structured to learn step-by-step, and if you get stuck the support is 24/7. Bonus points: the SheCodes radio. Every song is the perfect company to code!
Coding seems intimidating but the course broke down the topics in an easy and fun way. I did feel like it was a bit challenging but there was every resource available to me to problem solve which was encouraging and very exciting once I got it right!

Before SheCodes, I always thought that I have to commit a huge amount of time and effort to learn how to code. Because of this perception, I have always been reluctant to start learning at all. However, SheCode classes by Matt made it super fun and easy. The classes were short enough for me to spend a small amount of time every day, easy to reserve time after work. By learning little by little but consistently every day and week, I managed to build my own running application without hard work!
SheCodes Plus was very challenging, but also very rewarding. Creating something that actually works is so empowering and every time I would get the function right and working, it was such a happy and accomplishing feeling! Matt is a great instructor and João on Slack was my savior when I needed help. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone looking to learn about coding - I had absolutely no experience going in and now I love it!
I've absolutely loved this course and highly recommend it. The key thing for me is how Matt teaches you the 'tricks of the trade' as he goes and shows you how real coders do it, not just teaching you the code in isolation of the real world. I've found Matt really easy to follow, pace is perfect, and I've been shocked at how much I have learnt in just 10 hours! I was skeptical of an online course (as I struggle to keep motivated usually) but the videos are short and manageable, and there are fun challenges after each one, with instant solutions. It's very inspiring and the tools and community are excellent too - if you need help, it's there 24/7. Can't wait to move on to the 4 month course!
SheCodes gave me great insight into the basics of coding. At first I wasn't sure I would be able to commit to an online course, and instead the lessons were easy to follow, the structure is incredibly flexible and allows you to work at your own pace. Most importantly, they showed how coding can be a business tool, so I felt very inspired, motivated to continue, oh, and of course I had lots of fun!
In the past I had a short adventure with coding while my studies and after that experienced I was sure, coding is not something for me. Few years after that experience I decided to give a chance to SheCodes and I'm extremely happy I did! Each SheCodes lesson is explained very well and it makes the whole learning experience fun :) I highly recommend it to anyone, who wants to learn at least basics of coding.
I highly recommend this course to anyone who is motivated in learning React but also feels the need for a helping hand. I had lots of fun building my weather app, and I think having an instructor ready to help me whenever I got stuck made a great difference.

This has been a really nice learning experience! I didn't just gain literacy in programming languages but this experience made me even more resilient. Was it difficult? yes, but it was fun and the sense of accomplishment is sweeter! Pushing the boundaries of discomfort is risky in the process but the most rewarding.
It was really fun and relatively easy to pick up the steps. Although there were points where I got confused, it felt so great once I had cracked it!
I really like the educational format SheCodes use. The combination of a flexible time-schedule and realistic deadlines make for balanced learning. Ofcourse picking up a programming language can be challenging at times, but the level of guidance along the way is very good. For me personally at the end of an experience it's the people who make it worth remembering, so thanks for a great course Matt, for your ever so kind assistance Lexi and for your patient help João. It's been a fun learning experience for this mama and hopefully a steppingstone in reaching my goals:)
Amazing! No other word can describe this workshop. I had a little bit of experience but this platform and the way it was created inspires and motivates to continue learning and is so much fun! I highly recommend this workshop for those who are curious about coding and what it entails. Prior to this workshop, I believed coding was something only boys were good at since I only knew boys and men who coded. Although I had previously taken a web design course, that was over 10 years ago and I only learned HTML. It was really fun learning CSS, but my favorite part was adding JavaScript elements to my website! It was easy to follow along with Matt's instructions and I appreciated having the chance to practice my skills throughout the challenges and homework assignments. I'd definitely recommend this workshop for those who want a taste of coding and are interested in web design!

It has been really fun seeing how quickly I was able to pick up coding! Within 3 weeks I have learned a whole new language and code no longer seems like gibberish. The course and it's curriculum are set up in such an intuitive way which have surpassed my expectations. The best part about it is that I can learn on the go (and in multiple time zones) since the classes are pre-recorded, but every week's due date keeps me accountable with my progress. This course was so much fun, I am looking forward to the 2 follow up courses. I was eager getting to code in the evening, even after a long day at work. The classes are easy to follow, and students get encouraged to discover more on their own.
It was very achievable to me as a first time coder. I really enjoyed this course, especially the pace at which Mat goes through each concept and builds on each skill lesson my lesson. I loved how the final project tied in all the concepts in a very practical and functional way!

Learning to code with SheCodes was a really fun and interactive experience! Other than most coding workshops, Matt gives a clear overview over the basics of HTML, JavaScript and CSS which makes it easy to understand and the weekly assignments helpt to stay on track.

Considering my background, I never expected to like or understand coding but this workshop completely changed my perception. I was always interested in learning how to code, but never thought that I would get the chance. When I first came upon a SheCodes ad, I was immediately intrigued; and when my employer asked me to attend further training during my short-term work, I jumped at the opportunity – and never regretted it. Being totally absorbed in the learning videos and corresponding challenges, hours pass without me realising it. I immensely enjoy putting what I just learned into action and can’t believe how far I’ve already come in such a short period of time. Coding can be challenging, but it is also a lot of fun and extremely rewarding. If you are unsure whether you should sign up for one of the workshops, do it! I'm sure you won't be disappointed! 😉

I think the hardest part was trying to build out HTML & CSS for the weather app. Since you're not utilizing a template. Learning to implement API for real-world data & forecast was super fun and challenging. Would definitely recommend this to get your feet wet with coding.

I am generally very artsy and love to be creative and this provided me with a wonderful creative outlet, as well as such useful tools for marketing and building websites. It was a lot of fun to learn the basic principles of coding. Yes, you need to invest some time, but it was really worth it and also a lot of fun!
I had a fun challenge learning React. I really learned a lot. I'm sad the course is over for me as there is so much more to learn still, but this course has been an amazing kickstart for my coding journey.
