At first, I was nervous about trying something that I had no knowledge about but I ended loving it. The way the classes are taught is amazing because all the challenges allow us to follow everything so we don't get lost. Besides, all the help from the other girls and the volunteers contribute to our success in this workshop. In the end, it was a great experience, something that I recommend to everyone.

As someone who never coded before, it was an intense weekend and I was uncertain of the results I would get from SheCodes, I got very surprised when in the end I was able to learn some new skills and put them into practice when building my project. It all started with my restless curiosity ... curiosity about the coding world. After all, what do developers do on those black screens full of color coding? How can they create so many powerful things from a black screen? And so I went looking for a coding initiation workshop. I found SheCodes and its initiation workshop in one weekend. Some of my developer friends validated that SheCodes had amazing workshops and they couldn't be more right! Matt is an engaging speaker who introduces us to the programming world and encourages us to make the most of every minute of that weekend. The pace is mind-blowing but inspirational. The result of those 16 hours is that you can do a number of things that 48 hours ago you didn't even think possible. I loved it!

Being a part of the SheCodes weekend workshop was a way to test myself on whether or not i was passionate enough about programming to actually learn to code. SheCodes workshop is a fast-paced crash course program that gives you a basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and is the perfect place to understand whether coding is for you without committing too much time or money. SheCodes workshop was an amazing experience for me! I got to learn something that is usually perceived as complex and difficult in a really friendly environment. The program was really well planned and organized, the classroom atmosphere was very relaxed and positive, with classmates helping and encouraging one another during the exercises. SheCodes staff (including volunteers and technical assistants) were very attentive and supportive throughout the weekend and really made a difference in the experience (including Matt's playlists! :)) . Thank you all! I am looking forward to learning more about coding in the next program I got enrolled into - SheCodes Plus - and to build an app at the end of the program.
