This has been an amazing learning experience. I had a limited knowledge of coding beforehand but remembered how much I enjoyed it in school. It would benefit my career so I decided to take the courses. Best decision ever! Cannot recommend SheCodes enough. Great teachers, helpful community, and fun projects. I come from a health care background looking to transition to the digital and technological world. I saw many opportunities for bootcamps, self-paced studies, and other coding resources but what I loved about SheCodes is that it gave me structure. I am well capable of learning on my own, but because I am so new to the industry, I didn't know where to even start. SheCodes Basic was an amazing experience. The lectures are very straightforward and filled with all the information you will need to succeed in completing all the lesson challenges and final project. The video lectures never got too long and monotonous, Matt did a great job organizing and blocking certain topics and following it up with a hands on challenge. He also gave the solutions after each challenge with the opportunity to resubmit and correct your work if necessary. Help was always available through the Slack chat and a team member always responded within a timely manner. This course was a great introduction to solidifying my future plans. I will be continuing this journey and diving in deeper! Thank you Matt and Team for helping me understand this whole new world of computer language!

SheCodes workshops are amazing, but I really like this one, because it is close to Graphic Design. The final proyect is a portfolio, I recomend to use this oportunity and look futher to our futures, work slowly work secure and use this proyect in real life.
Going through the workshop was pretty intense, for all the good reasons. I usually paused and asked myself how hard it would have been learning all that Java Script without an instructor who broke everything into reasonable bits that one can easily absorb and process. Matt has been such a great instructor. The Slack technical team was amazing too. Well, Slack is where I learnt from other SheCoders that it is OK to feel stuck while working on a project, and that there is no shame at SheCodes if you cannot piece everything together at a given time. We are all learning and supportive of each other. Definitely, SheCodes is the place to be for everyone willing to learn coding. Here's to, as Matt says, happy coding.

It's natural to be skeptical about anything you buy on the internet. I've taken different courses before, and they ended up with disappointment. By recommendation of my manager, I've found SheCodes. I have learned amazing things, challenged by the weekly assignments and meeting the deadlines, and as a result, I've refreshed my memory on HTML, CSS, and Java. Before taking the workshop, I was able to do many things on my own, but the beauty of SheCodes is Matt explains every single thing with the reason behind them. I started this workshop with no background at all. It's amazing how much I learned in just three weeks. From week to week I got so much better. As a language teacher I know that learning a language requires lots of practice. I got to practice a lot in this workshop thanks to all the homework and the help from the team who's always available and responds so quickly. I'm looking forward to starting my next SheCodes workshop.

When I first met SheCodes, I liked its purpose and vision - providing coding education to women who are lack of representation in the ICT fields. That's why I took the SheCodes Basics. I liked it but it took me one year again as well as Covid/disc problem to seriously consider changing my career to ones related to coding where I can work from home. I think SheCodes is such a good place for beginners like me to taste the world of coding and kick off the career. I was interested in coding for years but couldn't really start anything - I had no idea what to do first. Some people just take free courses/youtube videos to start but I needed some in-person guidance and a kind-of basic structure of knowledge with explanation. SheCodes indeed provides all of that. Slack community makes me feel I'm not alone (even though everything is online) and feel I do have people to ask all the questions I have. That helped me a lot. I really wish this would lead me to the career I want to have in the future so that I can write amazing testimonials again.

This has been amazing! I had previously tried to learn some programming languages but most information didn't stick. Throughout this workshop, I gained more confidence while having fun with the tasks. The course is very well-structured with tutorials that are very easy to understand, followed by homework that helps solidify this theory and put it into practice. By the end of it, I feel like I've acquired useful new skills that I can't wait to improve on.
