My experience with the SheCodes Workshops has been amazing! I love that we get to work on real world projects and build a portfolio. I have had so much fun coding the weather app and getting to be creative with the styling and the different tools we've learned.
Its amazing how i always felt coding was so complex and probably something i would not have much interest in. December 2022 i decided to challenge myself into doing something outside of my comfort zone from a career perspective in 2023! Amazing course! I thought that in the end, I'd be able to understand a basic HTML code when I saw it. However, I had no idea I would be able to create a webpage myself. Now that I know it's not magic, but hard work, I'm willing to learn much more.
My interest in coding began in late 2022, whilst I was in my third year of University. I realised that I had little passion for my major and wanted to find something new that would spark passion within me. I had thought about going back to university after I graduated to study an MBA or something in finance. But, 2022 was a year of exploration and self discovery for me, I had met a lot of friends within the tech industry, who suggested I look into coding and that coding was a great field for women. So, I did just that. I began my research and saw an overwhelming amount of different positions within the tech industry. Immediately, I was drawn to the idea of cybersecurity and began to do a course on that on freeCodeCamp but it was overwhelmingly difficult and frustrating. I gave up as quickly as I had began. Then, I return after I had written my final year exams and went back to my research, I looked for advice from the large online coding community and everyone had advised to start with web development, as it was the foundation of understanding coding and breaking into the industry. So, I started again, watching Youtube videos, following along with them as they began to code, and at first, it was overwhelming but it made a lot more sense this time since I was taking baby steps. I spent a month being self taught, assimilating the different markup languages, wanting to perfect them before I added Javascript to my roster. I went on Tiktok and found my community in 'Black women in Tech-tok', that's when I came across SheCodes for the first time. I always knew I was a learner that needed a roadmap with structure, so I knew I would thrive in an online school or course, so I knew SheCodes would be for me. I had a stable enough understanding of HTML and CSS and SheCodes helped me begin to understand the ropes of Javascript and I'm excited to learn more, know more and grow with SheCodes. This is only the beginning of my journey with our amazing instructor Matt and the SheCodes team.

Learning React is not easy but Matt's instructions were really clear and made it easy to understand the different concepts. I have completed all the previous SheCodes workshops and they have all been amazing. This one is no different, and I can only hope that more workshops are released in the future!
I've learned the basic concepts of coding in a really fun and easy way through SheCodes wonderful courses. The instructor is a quite expert in his field and teaches in a straightforward way. It was the best course that I've ever joined thanks to SheCodes and its amazing instructor Matt Delac.
This workshop was full of new things and easy to follow. The best thing is to code a portfolio which I can keep improving and use in future. These three weeks of coding have been amazing! As someone who didn't know a thing about coding such as HTML, Javascript and CSS, this has been a great way to educate myself about modern technology. One of my goals this year was to learn a new skill and coding has helped me to achieve this! It seemed challenging at first and I didn't know what the ending to this course would be but I've fallen in love with the skills of problem-solving, logical thinking and new ways of creativity!

This course was amazing! As an introduction into the world of tech , this was the perfect pace for me . The instructor Matt delivers the information in a way that simple and easy to understand. Being able to go back and watch a lesson was a huge comfort as well as being able to reach out for help through slack . I honestly give this a 10/10 and recommend anyone who is interested but sure where to start to take this class ! Imso happy I did , and I will be continuing to the next course after this one !!
I've struggled with online courses for years, but this program was so easy to follow and understand I was able to get through it and continue to pursue more, comfortably knowing that the future courses are going to be engaging and informative. The React course was definitely the most challenging one and surely a great end to the four main courses. To see a little preview of the long way ahead of me makes me want to learn more and more. A half a year ago I would never dreamed of myself as someone who can look at a source code of a page and actually understand how things were built, it is quite amazing!

When I first heard of "SheCodes" was on Instagram. I literally ignored it, I didn't know what it was exactly. When I saw it again on my feed, I saved it. Never looked back until December of 2022. I follow people on Instagram that does coding and I was always a fan of coding, I just didn't know exactly "How to code?". Since I like to learn new things, I decided I would give it a go. I did, started with Basic. I don't know but "I fell in love!" It's amazing how coding turns everything beautiful. I'm glad I gave it a go, now I can't wait to go higher and learn way more.

SheCodes Responsive thoroughly taught me how to effectively build a multiple-paged responsive website that is SEO-friendly from scratch. I learned a whole lot from using CSS media queries to mastering Boostrap and then understood how to effectively do a project set-up for any other projects I'll be embarking on. Just Wow..... I would've never thought that I'd ever learn how to code.This class was not only fun but Doable. My favorite part about this experience was that I didn't feel like failing was an option.
