I have wanted to learn how to code but i did not know where to start because i have no idea of what computer science is all about. not until i found out about SheCodes and a friendly CEO with this amazing team. Thanks to Matt and SheCodes community.
For a long time i wasn't sure what i wanted to do and i tried so many things. I knew always that my love was towards computers and technology. I tried a couple of times to learn programming by myself, but sadly it was so overwhelming and chaotic. Also i didn't have anyone to share my questions or my troubles which made it very frustrating and underwhelming. After 2 years and my life being not very easy i was thinking about my future and what i really love. And the answer was always there: Coding. But i was afraid and i didn't know how to start, till i found out about SheCodes and this amazing community with a really friendly CEO and an incredible teacher, Matt, who helped me found my passion again and this time in a very solid way. My journey won't stop here with the Basic Course, rather the opposite. My journey has just started. βΊ
Coding has been something that I have longed to learn for a while. Previously I followed many youtube video but because i did not know which one is the correct path I ended up getting discouraged and stopped. Today I'm super proud of myself for completing the first step to my journey of becoming a Front-End developer. I am very thankful to Matt and the SheCodes team for bringing me this opportunity. With Matt's step by step explanations I managed to learn many new things and applied them to the exercises that we are given. The explanations are so clear and straight forward. It has been such an amazing journey. I'm looking forward to the next step.

This course was amazing at quickly and efficiently teaching all the basics of coding websites with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It uses the newest versions of everything to always stay up to date, and if you were ever stuck on a challenging task, the Team was always there to help! :)
An amazing course that learns you so much in a short period of time, but is still easy to follow. With descreptive videos and challenges throughout it is easy to keep up with all the information and new knowledge.
I really enjoyed this basic course. It was very fun and beginner friendly. I really liked the assessments we had along the way as they helped us to apply our knowledge and identify any areas of weakness. It took me much longer than most people, I was in a really dark place mentally, and even though it was hard, I did keep pushing (pun intented) and I am extremely joyful that I did. Understood the importance of an organized code, now I'm confident that the flexibility of the code always comes first and beats aesthetics. I am 31 and looking to change careers. I've always been fascinated with how computers work, how they do all the amazing things they do. SheCodes was advertised on instagram whilst I was looking at jobs like Online Marketing and I thought "What a good skill to have." It applies to so many careers and I had some time off of work to dedicate to learning a new skill. The SheCodes Basics course has been amazing. The bite-sized lessons and challenges to test what you've just learnt is an incredible teaching technique. I've enjoyed it so much and have recommended it to friends. It's an amazing tool to learn! I would suggest making your home page as clean as you can, SEO friendly, adding header and footers, and with as good structure and class names as possible before adding the rest of the pages, this will save you a lot of time when building the rest of the pages.
