I love way the workshops are set up, the regular challenges to practice before incorporating it all in a final assignment. Can't wait to move on to Plus!
Learning how to make my projects responsive have been a major goal for me, and this workshop really helped me try to think differently when I code. It's a must for anyone who want to take their coding to the next level!

I was always curious about coding. I find it fascinating and I am naturally someone who likes to know how things are done. But - I didn't know that I would like it this much! The amount of information and knowledge that I have absorbed with the Basics Workshop was a complete surprise. I was not expecting for it to be such a hands-on course, especially it being remote. This workshop has given me precious tools to continue practicing, even more curiosity to keep it going and I can even apply some of my new knowledge into my job. I am glad I chose to enroll - thank you SheCodes team!
I am very glad to learn across this platform to improve my skills . I already got SheCodes basics certificate and i am very proud of me. I hope to be a better web developer with react and vanilla js in the future, and 'll get a lot of opportunities with that.
This course helped me to add a lot of knowledge about coding. Some parts of the learning process were truly frustrating but there was always someone to ask. I improved my basic coding skills and earned a lot of practice to combine with my media design skills !

This was a such great course! From having no idea to building a basic web page i am amazed. I have learnt so much in only 3 weeks and i have really enjoyed it :-)
I would always recommend the SheCodes workshops. Even if I'm not an English native speaker or had any previous knowledge in coding, the lessons were understandable and easy to follow. The instructor Matt does a really good job! And if you need further support with your code, the slack community is awesome and helps you out.

The videos are short and sweet, the content is very concise and Matt explains these abstract concepts in a way that is understandable and easy to grasp. Not only did I learn a huge amount in the three weeks the course took me, I now appreciate how much fun coding is and how experimental you can be! Just another amazing workshop! I have really learned how to build and launch a personal website. It was full of good challenges and it's interesting to see how your skills improving during the course. It's well-structured and it's absolutely doable with a full-time job too.
Learning to code in a fun way!
I'm not going to pretend it was easy, I'm not going to pretend there weren't times that my laptop nearly went out of the window, but have faith because eventually this will all click with time and practise. The most beneficial part of this course for me was weeks 7 and 8 where we could code along with the videos to build the final project (I highly recommended doing this step by step with the videos rather than trying to do it all at the end). When I was working on the early stages of this course I never expected that the Javascript would be the part I look forward to doing the most, but it really is witchcraft and Matt is so right, it makes me feel SO powerful.
The course was great. I like the format of having short lessons and then having time to practice.

Man but brain hurt after this workshop (SheCodes Plus) but it sure was worth all the headaches. Matt continued to do an amazing job breaking down every lesson and explaining how things needed to be/go that it made following along pretty simple. This one was a tough one (thank goodness for extensions) but I was able to get through this while suffering from horrible morning sickness β€οΈ
This course is great! I love the step-by-step process as you are learning how to code. The lessons are easy to follow yet the homework can be really challenging. Overall this course has been a huge boost of confidence. I encourage any women to try it as it is a safe environment to take the first steps into development.
This course has reinforced my basic HTML skills but added CSS and JavaScript to make webpages look SO MUCH BETTER. Hugely recommended.

This is my second SheCodes course and I again loved it! As a working mom, SheCodes gave me the flexibility to work at my own pace while keeping on track with challenges and weekly homework. Matt is a great instructor who is easy to follow. SheCodes Plus was really challenging and the Slack chat was helpful to get tips and help if you get stuck as Joao was quick to help. I would recommend SheCodes to any woman looking to get into coding!

Learning the basics of coding, was a lot easier than I expected. The instruction videos are very clear and the homework assignments are always graded very quickly.

I really really loved this course, before I stared it I though that I would not be able to perform any of the homeworks, but matt seriously explains in such an incredible way that i really enjoyed watching each of the classes and make the differents tasks; I think this workshop is one of the things that everyone should do because it open to you literally a whole new world.

I never really knew or understood what coding actually was until I tried this class!! Turns out its way more fun and fascinating than I ever thought. I am a person who has to understand the logic behind things, and this class gives you the logical reasons behind coding as well as how to code. You learn all the rules you have to follow but also, how to just have fun with it and still be yourself!! For anyone interested in coding (even just the basic concepts)try it out!! Its very much worth the price and I have decided to continue on to more advanced levels of this program!! Happy coding!!
I learned how to code years ago. This was a great refresher! I love how Matt teaches. Yes, it's technical. It's not as technical as other instructors though - particularly when it comes to Javascript. I look forward to taking additional workshops in the future!

Out of the three SheCodes workshops I have completed, I can safely say that the SheCodes React course was the most challenging and rewarding. The two projects were not easy but with Matt's clear and concise explanations and Joao's assistance, I feel like I now have a solid grasp of React. This workshop has given me a new lease on coding and I am excited to continue my coding journey in React. I am proud of how much I have learnt in such a small amount of time. However, the most valuable skills that this experience has provided me is 1) Believe in yourself 2) Google, google, google! I am extremely proud of being a SheCodes alumni and would easily recommend SheCodes to anyone looking to join the tech industry.
I enjoyed all the course material. Working on lessons that result in projects that, which I can add to my portfolio and showcase to my future employers is priceless, and I've gained so much hands-on experience in such little time. SheCodes never disappoints! Plus workshop was again well-structured. It took you into more advanced parts of JS step by step. Whenever I stuck or get confused, I found the immediate help. So happy for being a part of amazing community!
Thanks for all the nice lessons Matt. A lot of times it was quiet hard and I had to take a break, but I never felt like giving up. Eventually I got through and even really enjoyed the lessons. I definitely recommend this course for people who want to get in the coding business or want to develop their (beginner) skills.

Great introduction to coding! Before this course, I had little knowledge of coding. I had an interest to learn but I was hesitant about spending a great deal of money on a coding bootcamp just to find out if I liked it or not. I loved the 3-week program. The price of the program was great too! Matt is a great instructor with a supportive community. I'm planning on continuing with the SheCodes courses!
With excellent teaching methods, SheCodes' workshops prepared me for collaborating on real-life projects, with great outcomes.
The lessons are good, and the work flow is nice and smooth. Sometimes I wish there was more explanations on why things are done certain ways. I felt lost sometimes, and then the weeks following everything would come together. I also wish there was more feedback on the weekly homework.
Thanks for all the ideas and new knowledge, you inspire me all the time throughout all the workshops that I have participated. Am really proud to have created my own portfolio. Being a full-time mom, it is not easy to follow courses but your videos were focused and to the point. This was something that I wanted to do since a very long time and now its finally done. Can't wait to use it because it will help me in my search for a job and introduce myself to the IT world.
