Being able to work on a project from start to finish was extremely helpful and make something I can be proud of. Being able to display my work and have a project I can keep adding to is a major accomplishment!

Working through the workshop with no experience at all and feeling overwhelmed with the idea of coding, SheCodes provided me the knowledge and skills to understand basic concepts of coding. I am looking forward to understand more and deepen the knowledge about coding.

It's a great way to learn to code with lots of support and in your own time and at your own speed. :)

Thank you for such an amazing experience! I can't believe how much I learned through this course. Easy to follow and overall I took away so much!! There were challenging times but I never felt like I was alone - there was a whole SheCodes community there to help at every step of the way.

After completing the basic workshop I decided to also enroll in the SheCodes Plus Workshop – and I would highly recommend it! It can be challenging at times but the SheCodes-Team gives you wonderful and prompt support regarding any questions. It really helped me further understand the world of coding and I am very proud to have coded a functioning Weather App.

I feel like my passion-flame has been lit with this SheCodes Basics course. I thoroughly enjoyed every challenge, weekly homework tasks & creating my final project. It's amazing how interesting and easy to understanding the lessons are. Matt is a very good teacher and gives you tools for being able to find your own way. He teaches you how to fish not just how to eat a fish 😉

I've been trying to get into coding for a while but just never find the right class for me. Matt's classes were just the right pace; not too fast and not painfully slow. The challenges were fun and kept me interested. Looking forward to taking another class with SheCodes when I'm done with this one!

Plus course helps to strengthen on past concepts learnt on basic course and a good introductory on API which is a very useful tool for interactions with other applications - recommended for starters

I loved how Matt made clear from the beginning that anyone can get into coding, no matter the background. The three weeks course it's a very pleasurable intro to the world of coding. You learn a lot of things in a very short time without feeling overwhelmed or scared, which is very important for absolute beginners.

SheCodes plus was an excellent challenge! Doing the project week by week following Matt's extremely detailed tutorials was the best way to get more comfortable with HTML, CSS & JavaScript. I am looking forward to continuing my journey with the SheCodes React workshop!

I just finished my last project from SheCodes Basic. The curriculum is broken down into gradual steps so you don't have to worry if you are a total beginner. Matt Delac is an amazing tutor that will guide you through with short videos and challenges. He makes coding fun and his passion for coding is super contagious. Moreover, his team always check on you and the community is fantastic. I will definitely continue my journey at SheCodes!! 🥰

I was quite apprehensive to try coding as it seemed so complicated. I was drawn to this course as it was aimed at women and there were projects to complete to cement your knowledge and understanding. This course has been exactly what I wanted and more. It's a very creative process and not boring at all - I think I assumed it would be?! Very enjoyable and I'm very excited to move on to the next course.

Another fantastic course by SheCodes! I won't lie - SheCodes React was not easy! But as always, Matt's videos were extremely helpful and easy to follow. SheCodes React was challenging indeed, but also extremely rewarding. Little by little, every piece of information was carefully delivered and explained in detail, I felt greatly supported by the Shecodes team. I approached coding for the very first time five months ago, with my first SheCodes Workshop. I can't believe I have made it through Plus and React, I have learnt so many new skills and I couldn't be happier now. Time for more coding adventures!

At first, getting into React seemed daunting and scary. It was this mystic creature with components all over the place and functions that jump around and you forget to include your CSS file and why won't it just work?! But then you start, and Matt's soothing voice guides you through your third breakdown and you listen more closely, connect a few components, and it starts to make sense. Maybe it's not so bad. Maybe you even like it. If there's a hiccup, the whole team is ready to help, and the support network from all the other women is priceless. This course is life-changing.

WOW!!Coming from the basic workshop, SheCodes Plus is an accessible introduction to hosting, APIs, and has a perfect balance between 🥵and 🤯. What a ride! Some lessons are challenging; however, Matt and the SheCodes team do an excellent job at breaking down topics and integrating previously learned skills each week. This first contact with the frontend dev world has been challenging but also proved to me that I cannot wait to continue!

SheCodes has been a wonderful experience thus far. Each topic is broken down into small exercises, complete with explanatory videos (made by a wonderful teacher) and challenges. I can't believe how much I've learned in just the first few weeks. Bring on the next workshop!

I started this course with very basic HTML and CSS knowledge and learned a lot during those 3 weeks. Matt does an amazing job at showing and explaining functions, possibilites etc.

Great course with clear step-by-step guidance and examples! A few lessons in the course are challenging; however, Matt does an excellent job at breaking down the topics into appropriately sized lessons which makes them less intimidating and stressful for a learner with non-technical background! Very excited that I've successfully created my first html page through this course!

The introductory course uses lots of fun examples and exercises. The instruction is very clear with plenty of examples. I really enjoyed the first step of the experience and can't wait to and expanding on my knowledge.

At the beginning of this course, I was familiar with coding and JavaScript; Now, I have a much deeper understanding of just how powerful functions can perform for us. The lessons that Matt provides on how we can extract specific data from API sources is detailed and straightforward, and the challenges give you a chance to test the knowledge in real time. Cannot recommend this course enough; I'm thrilled to use these new skills in the real world.

SheCodes Plus is an accessible introduction to hosting, APIs, frameworks, and repositories/version control. A few lessons in the course are challenging; however, Matt and the SheCodes team do an excellent job at breaking down topics into appropriately sized lessons and keep reusing/integrating previously learned skills each week. There were a few areas I wanted more in depth explanations as to why certain operators or bits of logic worked better than others, but for a course geared towards all levels of experience I can understand why that isn't a priority.

This has been lots of fun but also challenging! The end result in after a couple weeks is so gratifying. Be prepared for the excitement of showing all your friends and your family that you can code a cool landing page after such a short amount of time. Can't wait to continue learning!

I enjoyed the class and would recommend it. The videos are short and concise, they get straight to the point. You don't feel too overwhelm because if a video lesson is teaching you something knew, the "challenge activity" only focuses on that. Afterwards, when you proceed to another video, you just add on to the existing code that you created from the previous challenge or activity. Tip: taking notes is helpful.

You'll learn a lot if you do the work, React was a bit tricky at first but you eventually get the hang of it. Overall, good experience.

I am currently serving in the military and have had an interest in coding since coming across some extremely sophisticated technology that we have in service. I wanted to widen my knowledge and studying with SheCodes which actively promotes females within the industry made good sense to me. I'm thrilled to have finished SheCodes Basic and look forward to further study.

SheCodes Basics is a wonderful introduction to coding. I always thought it would be something that I would be interested in, but I never had the opportunity to try it. The lessons were easy to follow and the homework made all the difference in teaching you how to really use what you were learning. When you are stuck, you have the resource Slack where you can talk to other students, have your code reviewed and amended if you have any mistakes in it very quickly so you are never left stuck. SheCodes workshops give me the skills to start a career as a front-end developer. Matt Delac has created a great way to learn to code simply and funnily for women. IT area has always been a scary field for women but with SheCodes the times as changed.

I had never studied coding before the SheCodes workshop and was afraid that I would not be able to follow the lessons. But Matt is a great teacher, really didactic. I had a lot of fun, I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus!

I highly enjoyed this course. I was motivated and interested despite having a problem of losing motivation in something once I've started it. I thought a extreme beginner like me wouldn't be able to learn what I wanted, but I was surprised to see that I've improved much more than I thought I would have.

I never knew how great it would feel to learn something new. This is my second work shop and I feel like I have learned so much. When I first started my first work shop, I wondered wat did I get my self into. Then I completed it and was like wow I actually did it. I knew I had to keep pushing and keep learning. I love these work shops and plan to continue. This is truely a great program.

I attempted to learn coding several times before, but the basics just weren't sticking until I tried SheCodes. I was able to learn everything taught in the class while having fun! I am now looking forward to expanding my knowledge and transitioning into a career in web design. Thanks SheCodes!

Doing the SheCodes workshop was very instructive and fun, the classes and challenges are very interesting, and the staff are very nice, they give all the support needed. The extra material and tools provided on the SheCodes website are very helpful as well and I have found the SheCodes Radio something very thoughtful because the songs are perfectly selected to be listened to when coding. All these elements make the whole experience very enjoyable.

SheCodes is broken down into small, digestible videos that make the large topic of coding easy to understand for all levels of learners. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Matt teach me how to code a fully functioning website!

Each day was a new challenge, but each day I learned a new thing. It was amazing to be able to learn code and have such a beautiful and smart way of learning thru daily challenge and week challenge that made me more motivated!
