This workshop is perfect when you are new to coding. I had zero experience and everything was clear and easy to understand. My whole experience with SheCodes was fun and pleasant and I enjoyed every minute of it!
The process has been very well done. It's easy to understand and a great support system set up if you require help with any elements.
I have been interested in learning how to code for a while but could never find the time or the right site to learn. I came across SheCodes and loved the learning style with it all being broken up and structured into small challenges and then the Homework. You can work at your own pace and have an enormous amount of support on the slack channel where everyone is friendly and willing to help you out if you are stuck anywhere. I look forward to continue learning how to code.
Great 3 week course. Was able to grasp fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and Javascript through a mix of course videos, self-directed Internet researching, and the course discussion board on Slack.com. A great way to find out if you have the aptitude or interest, before investing in a longer, more expensive course.
It was a pleasure to learn coding with SheCodes! SheCodes shows that coding is for everyone. Looking forward to starting new course SheCodes Responsive.
It was an exciting time and I will miss the Slack Chat community very much. The React course was much more demanding and time-consuming, especially if you work full-time. I'm glad I took the course to the end and recommend it to anyone interested in React.
I loved this course so much Matt is a great teacher. It's loads of fun, Definitely a challenge but you never feel like you cannot do it thanks to the amount of support you get from all students who are in the same boat and mostly João! He is amazing! I would recommend this course to any and everyone, even if you never end up using the skill you will have heaps of fun!

SheCodes is a great workshop for beginners who want to be introduced to the world of Coding. As a beginner, the lessons were easy to fall and the assignments challenged me to explore and research more. I was able to learn so much in just 3 weeks, I'm so excited to see what the future has in store for me!

I see this workshop as the spark that lit the flame for my newfound passion of coding. I had always wanted to try coding but didn't really know where to start, and didn't get very far on my own. I doubt I would have followed-through had it not been for SheCodes. I appreciated Matt's step-by-step video lessons, the overall structure of the workshop, and the access to ongoing, online support. Graduating means I'm walking away with a firm understanding of the fundamentals of HTML+CSS+JavaScript. I'm proud of what I accomplished so far but I'm also excited to level up on my coding journey.

I'm just a second semester student in business and digital marketing at ITESO, a college from Mexico, meaning I'm clueless about programming and coding stuff, or at least I was. This workshop has thought me the basics, but in a fun and easy way and I even want to learn more about web sites so one day it become my profession. :))) It was just amaizing.
I learned so much during these 3 weeks! This is straight-up the best way to start coding. As a thirteen-year-old, I think Matt's classes are easy to follow, and with its 100% online curriculum, you have the flexibility to build your schedule. I actually never thought I would do this, never in my mind did it cross the idea that I would learn to code. I always thought it was "rocket science" hahaha I now want to keep learning and improve so I can make family business grow without having to depend on somebody else to run it for us.
These classes are wonderful! As a beginner in the coding world, the programming languages seemed slightly intimidating, but each lesson gave detailed explanations in a way that I could follow. When questions came up, all students could use Slack to get advice from the instructors and each other. I am looking forward to continue learning in the SheCodes + & React courses. Working in this field is a goal of mine and I feel more confident in my skills after taking the course.

I kept thinking I'd never be able to learn coding,not enough time,not find holistic course... and yet I managed to learn a lot already thanks to Matt,João and the supportive team of SheCodes Workshops. I had the best experience getting further insights into the #coding world. With the instruction of lessons, I was able to not only understand it, but begin to challenge myself and solving problems. I strongly recommend this to all women who want to have a real understanding of what really is Front-End Development and its frameworks. Truly can't wait to learn more and grow to be a front-end developer.
I think the modules and exercises are very helpful and allow the learner to build foundational knowledge of the coding languages, which can be developed further through practice!

I really liked working with sheCodes! It was definitly more than 5 hours of work a week for me ;-) And I would have liked to have had more time. Because after an 8-10 hour day of work (on the computer...) still sitting down in the evening for some more hours of coding - was exhausting. Next time, I will do a course like this on my holiday! Can highly recommend it! Really nice videos, easy to understand.

SheCodes provided a good and interesting approach to learning coding basics. Their videos are interesting and easy to follow. I also like how they let you learn how to research how to solve problems rather than simply memorizing a lot of codes. Despite that, I hoped they focused more on explaining basic essential coding techniques for HTML and CSS to help us also understand easily codes that we may come across with as we research and experimented with.
This course was a lot of fun and a good intro into the basics of front end web development. The lesson challenges and homework really helped to solidify the concepts.

It was GREAT! Very clear and transparent, easy to follow and motivating in the same time. Last 3 weeks were just fantastic, I've never expected that I would be so involved and excited. I had a really fun time coding even though there were some long late nights trying to figure out my bugs and finding solutions to the problems. There's a lot of trial and error, excitement and disappointment, satisfaction and frustration, but all these things are part of the journey. I'm pleasantly surprised at what I was able to do. SheCodes developed my hard skills and it was a positive experience. In the end, I'm very happy I tried SheCodes. I even impressed my husband!
