I'm so happy I found out about SheCodes! For the first time, I really understand Javascript which has always been a struggle for me. SheCodes is something I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to start learning how to code. Great experience and I can't wait to take more workshops!

The Plus workshop was extremely challenging, but I'm proud of myself for not giving up and finishing it. We learn from trial and error, and from experience. I'm definitely looking forward to building on what I learned in the Responsive & React workshops! ✨
Another brilliant workshop that enabled me to dive deeper into the world of coding. It hasn't always been a walk in the park, there have been moments of frustration, but also some exciting eureka episodes, all in all making this experience enriching and worthwhile. I enjoyed the challenge of improving my coding skills and look forward to the next workshop.
Being able to build a fully working page on my own was very gratifying (and challenging, at times). I felt like a real coder 👩💻 :)
Matt provides incredibly easy-to-follow videos. He breaks down the steps and structures needed for coding. The submissions and final project allow for practical application and gives you the chance to explore on your own to find the solution.

As a single mother of 2 small children, I cannot rave enough about this workshop. For quite some time I had been wanting to do something different as a career that could really allow me to provide for my daughters. I've always been interested in STEM and with my background as a Science and Math teacher...I was so excited when the most beautiful Godsend appeared on my YouTube recommendation about SheCodes. At first I thought "What is this?" then I clicked and it was amazing to think that in a short clip I found myself wanting to join. I worried that as a single mom juggling kids, homeschool, and play time that there would be NO WAY I could do this and not fall behind but after back and forth emails with Matt I was reassured that I COULD DO IT and that was the moment I took the plunge. I attended the free workshop and as an artsy attention to detail kind of person, watching Matt really allowed me to see myself doing this and becoming passionate about it. I set out on a mission to start and finish and made sure to do so throughout the course of these 3 weeks and I can honestly say that I am so proud of all the knowledge I've gained, so proud of myself and being able to say that I didn't allow anything to stop me from working hard, completing challenges and submitting homework on time. I DID IT! All of the thanks goes out to Matt Delac and his team João, Daniela and the wonderful people on Slack who took time to help me when I got stuck. After sampling several different intro to coding courses, SheCodes really stood out as the most straightforward and easy to follow. I am really happy that I signed up for SheCodes back in January! I would totally recommend this course to anyone, who is curious about coding, but doesn't know where to start/ thinks that coding might not be for them. The videos are well constructed and you will find in them the answer to all the questions, even if you might have to watch them more than once (my case). Don't heasitate, just do it. It will suck and you will question your "why" many times, but eventually it gets better... at least that's what they say😂😋
Absolutely enjoyed it!!! So easy to follow with zero experience. I've already recommended this to a ton of my friends deciding what they are going to do after the military. I've been showing them my progress and they are interested. I can't wait to learn even more in the next workshop.

This course was very well structured, I had SO much fun and It was completely possible to achieve parallel to my full-time job as an Architect. I had some previous coding background (but this previous learning experience was really painful and I hated it, I think because I couldn't understand it). I can just say that during this course I finally found the "love" for coding and I'm ready to continue the following courses until I become a "pro" in Front End-Development. Do not hesitate to try it, really, I think anyone could enjoy this! Happy Coding! :)

SheCodes Plus is a good workshop for beginners. In this course you will get the understanding of the concept, structure, development, bug fixing and deployment of an application. Matt teaches you the basics to build a functional app.
Back in my early teenager years, I taught myself basic HTML/css through wanting to customize my myspace and xanga pages. I didn't really know what I was doing but found a new fun hobby and spent hours at my computer trying to make my page look nice. As those social media applications died down so did my new hobby and I didn't really think about how much I enjoyed coding until SheCodes. Although I am currently in the world of finance, I really appreciate the time I spent in this bootcamp and grateful for sharpening my once buried skill. Coding is fun and I hope to keep practicing my skill in my free time with a possibility of an industry change down the road.
I love the fact that Matt provides solutions and allows room for other possible ones. I love the team work in Shecodes and they go out of their way to try solve the issues we bring on board. The classes are very engaging too because I have to think first before running to the team for help. Thank you Shecodes❤💕

I absolutely loved doing this course! It's broken down into digestible chunks which makes it really easy to follow and learn. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn a new skill or improve on their basic knowledge of coding.
Every week offers a new challenge to learn and adapt to the languages of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Its program is a flow into the next step, that way you create what was just learned. Smart feedback loop. I feel confident enough to move forward into the Plus and React programs. Another Big bonus is the community that we connect with on Slack to find solutions while participating in each lesson.
This was a great three week course. It's a great opportunity to learn at your own pace. The video lessons and tutorials are so easy to digest and follow. While you don't get the benefit of being in class together, having Slack to check in with fellow classmates and request assistance is a great tool.
Finally a workshop where everything is well explained, there are lots of resources and the team is always available to help us with our questions (which are a lot 😅) Looking forward to the SheCodesPLUS 👩💻
SheCodes was honestly more fun that I thought it would be! Matt's videos are easy to follow with bite size pieces of information and learning. I have always been interested in learning how to code and SheCodes makes it easy to approach a complex topic.
More than a strong pedagogical training, this introduction is the first step to a new passionate, and infinite world of learnings and discoverings. HRBP, it helped me to adopt a new technologic mindset and logic and I'm thirsty for strengthening these new competencies! Thanks, Matt for this new adventure!
This is honestly one of the best things I could have done for myself! I've been looking at the site for the last year and a bit, wondering if I should take the plunge, and I'm annoyed that it took me so long to make the decision to join! The little bitesize videos (nothing is really longer than 10 minutes, maybe just one) are so easy to digest and everything makes sense. Even if you don't understand anything, there's a whole community of women who can help you as well. I'm going the full way with SheCodes Pro, and doing the first 3 weeks of the workshop has let me know that I've made the right choice! I would DEFINITELY recommend!

After 11 years of gap, I started updating my knowledge about computers by doing some free courses, I was frustrated as there is no particular way. While doing these tutorials, I came across SheCodes workshop which matched my expectation to pursue my goal to become a front -end developer. SheCodes courses are well designed and easy to learn. In terms of easy to learn, the courses has not only learning tutorials but also some short challenges and solutions. I have completed SheCodes Plus and React courses and recently I join Responsive course. Through this I understand current Tech world about website-application design and development. This course is really fun! It's a natural graduation from the Basics and Plus courses which enables you to really cement key principles. As always, the course is broken down into very manageable ,and enjoyable, steps. I really liked this course, however completed it much quicker than expected as there is overlap with the SheCodes Plus course. I still think it's worthwhile and offers valuable content.
This workshop was a great start! The challenges are fun and encouraging. Every step is really clear and well explained. It's also great to have access to the chat for support along the way and sharing thoughts about the different exercices. I'm excited to keep learning!

I would definitely recommend SheCodes. I didn't have any experience in coding, but yet with the instructional videos and information it was quite easy (and fun!) to complete the challenges. Matt is a good teacher, he has a good pace and his enthusiasm is pleasant to listen to and learn from. The first workshop has definitely sparked my interest in coding.

This course is incredibly useful and it's great to see the progress in building the app. It was challenging and fun at the same time. React is much easier to use and understand than VanillaJS, so I felt less overwhelmed in terms of notions and learnings. The lessons are well-structured and the Slack community is supportive in the case you feel stuck.

This workshop was awesome! I really enjoyed being able to expand my skills by learning React. I also liked being able to apply these skills to the already familiar project of the weather app. Having a community through the Slack was great in order to connect with others and ask questions.

JS is pretty challenging, but all of a sudden - it just clicks! Matt runs through an entire project from start to finish in week 6 of SheCodesPlus - which is amazing as everything you've learned previously is all put together with a better understanding as you've been using each section bit by bit. Love it!
