Great way to learn for anyone who's always been interested in learning to code - even just for fun. The class format is great and I was able to do these courses over the weekend (for the most part!).
Because I work as a graphic designer and never learned to code in school I often found it difficult to understand and talk to developers. I wanted to learn how to actually bring my designs to life on the web but had no clue where to start. Matt broke it down very easily and the videos allowed me the freedom to learn at my own pace. What started off as a bit of a daunting "work chore" turned into something really fun! I definitely want to continue to code now!
At first, I thought that it would be really difficult to learn how to code. But this course it's amazing, you learn a lot of things in 3 weeks, I really loved the course and can't wait to star the SheChodes Plus course.
It's been a lot of fun so far! This has been an excellent refresher to my college courses taken 10 years ago. Great support can be found in the slack groups. Can't wait to continue learning more in the upcoming workshops.

At first I didn't believe I would learn to code anything, but step by step, lesson by lesson, and there it is: my first web-page ever. Matt is a great instructor, assistants are always there to help and the whole process was pure fun. When starting, I just wanted to finish this basic course but now I'm starting to think about next level. I highly recommend this course to anyone. It is cheap, fun and You get to learn new skill. I found this course really great to get me started on coding my own projects before starting a University course to transition me into the IT sector. I have gained a lot of confidence from SheCodes and it has made me a lot less nervous.
That was THE BEST course I've done so far. Matt is a really great teacher and even though REACT can be challenging and a little bit frustrating, it's also very satisfying when finally everything works perfectly together.

I had always thought only people with special talent can code and I would never be able to do it. But with SheCodes' baby step approach enabled me to create my very first landing page from scratch! The final project was a bit challenging to me though, I am very delighted I could make it!

Before Joining SheCodes, I always wanted to learn about coding. In the past, I tried watching YouTube videos or participating in free coding courses online but they either too advance or lack the ability to keep me focused. SheCodes Basics really got me engaged in coding. This 3-week course really made it easy to understand coding , and was so fun!!! I'm excited to move on into the 2 advanced workshops. Once I'm finished, I hope that I can find a great career in coding where I can continue expanding my knowledge.
Although I have a Masters Degree in Software Engineering, I have always been anxious when it comes to coding. SheCodes is a platform where I felt we really don't have to get so anxious to begin to code and get good at coding.Now I can really stop and take a breath and actually enjoy coding. I am so grateful to Matt (our instructor) and the other mentors ( Joao) who went above and beyond in answering my questions on slack.

This is a great beginner workshop for learning how to code. Each lesson has a good amount of information to be challenging but not overwhelming. I would love to learn more about coding now that I've completed this workshop, so I can create more interactive websites and systems.
The videos are well done and rich in information. They cover pretty much of what you will need to succeed in the challenges but also animate you to roam the internet for additional information. If you have a problem - you can be sure that someone will help you.

I've been dreading this moment! I'm DONE with my SheCodes workshops! I don't want them to be over. I've enjoyed every lesson and have genuinely had fun learning new and challenging concepts. I'm excited to venture out into the world to apply for coding jobs and feel so much more equipped after going through these programs. As a mom, this program allowed me great flexibility and support to educate myself in a timeframe and learning environment that worked best for me and my family. I am extremely grateful to Matt and his team for starting this company and will keep checking back for additional courses as I would be thrilled to continue my education with SheCodes in any way, shape or form. HIGHLY recommend.

Matt is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in this field. This class is a sprint to the finish. I loved that the videos are always there to re watch when you don't quite understand something.

My experience with SheCodes so far has been worthwhile, from the free workshop to the SheCodes Basic workshop. I felt a sense of accomplishment with my project, not because the project is the best but I was able to code a lovely page within three weeks is an awesome experience. I can't wait to start the SheCodes Plus courtesy SheCodes Foundation.
I'm an absolute beginner and I've tried to learn to code through other programs online and failed everytime...until I found SheCodes! The Basics Workshop was so much fun and Matt was a great instructor. The videos were super helpful and the weekly homework was challenging but not discouraging. I enjoyed the final project as it allowed me to be creative, have fun, and it was so satisfying to see how much I was able to learn in just a week! I can't wait for the SheCodes Plus workshop 🥰

My experience at SheCodes was amazing! I have always been interested on coding, but I never had the courage give the first stepn because I thought that must be too complicated for me even because I never had any kind of contact with it as well, but since I started the workshop, coding seems so easy and smoothy! I started off knowing nothing about coding, I signed up for this workshop because I saw an ad about SheCodes and I was interested. I saw that the courses were affordable so I wanted to give it a try. It was the best decision I ever made! I didn't know coding would be this easy and fun. The lessons were easy to understand for beginners and I was able to feel confident in coding after just a week of SheCodes Basics. I have wanted to learn to code for a long time but always felt it would be too hard as I am not from a tech background. After attending the free coding class I decided to do it and join the beginners workshop. The way Matt explains things makes it so accessible and less scary. The support you get throughout and the quality of the classes is amazing. Couldn't recommend enough.
What a journey the last 2 months have been! I have come from coding basics to creating a fully-functional app hosted online, with a search engine that displays real-life data. It has been super fun (and a little frustrating at times), but with the support and the structured lessons, the learning has been pleasant and smooth. I look forward to learning more!
I enjoyed the course! it was easy to understand and you don't feel overwhelmed by the new information. The community is friendly and also supportive, you learned more by sharing your doubts and checking others' doubts and experiences. It is a course that inspires you to keep learning and coding.
After graduating from my Business IT degree I had no intention to pursue coding as a career or even attempt it ever again. However after revisiting the basics I realised and remembered how enjoyable it was and it is definitely something I have grown passionate about again. I used to study about the basics of HTML back in high school and found it really interesting back then, but now, I am amazed to be refreshed, and enlightened with the new languages and the changes in the coding world. I am eager to learn more about coding and programming now as SheCodes has great technical support and community, and the workshop has comprehensible lessons that make individual learning possible.
