Learning with SheCodes has been better than I expected. Matt explains everything in a way that anyone could understand. I joined SheCodes because I want to build a skill while also being creative. I would definitely recommend SheCodes to those wanting to be creative! It can open up so many more opportunities.
JS is not an easy language to understand, and what I learned is that I don't really have to understand everything. Just be patient and practice a lot.
I really enjoyed learning, testing, redoing, having other ideas during my course days. The information is clear and if not, you can follow the projects of the other participants, get inspired, talk to people from other countries and bring it all to your final project. I'd like to thank SheCodes' initiative to bring women closer to technology and show that it's possible to learn programming in a practical way at any age and career moment of each one.
SheCodes basic has been a very informative and hands-on experience - I have tried many other coding learning resources before but ultimately kept on forgetting the content and then getting frustrated, SheCodes has not only helped my keep accountable with regular deadlines, but also the compulsory hands-on experience has been brilliant for information retention. I had been worried that the 'basics' course may be too dumbed down, but that wasn't the case at all (substantial but not intimidating!). The reasons however, for why I have given four stars instead of five, is that the pacing during the course could be improved on (loads of content during the first week and significantly less during the following weeks), as well as the 'cost for content' ratio. However, I have still thoroughly enjoyed and benefitted from the experience, and am looking forward to studying the later courses : )
SheCodes proved that coding is not only for people with tech background and is not too complicated to learn. The lessons are bite-sized and not overwhelming, not stiff/boring at all and we can do it in our own pace. Excited for the next workshop.
I've really enjoyed learning to code with SheCodes. The pace is just right, and the Basics workshop is a fantastic introduction for an absolute beginner. I'm looking forward to the next stage of my coding journey with the Plus course.

I have tried to learn to code of other website before and always lost interest but SheCodes lessons are easy to understand and informative, the activities are enjoyable and the community kind and encouraging. I can not recommend SheCodes enough.

Can't say enough about this workshop! Matt makes everything feel so easy. I was just half way through SheCodes Basic when I decided I wanted to continue with SheCodes Plus and I am happy I did! With SheCodes you learn something new with every lesson and you start to really put everything together one step at a time. This workshop was really difficult and required a lot of work. It's amazing how much code we've learned in such a short time. I almost went crazy, but the result is really cool!
SheCodes Basic was a great introductory into the world of coding. The lesson were easy to follow and understand, and the hands on element of the course kept the content engaging. I had a lot of fun building my page and look forward to learning more.
Covers a lot of ground, but by the end of it I got a really good understanding of how to build a responsive website!

I loved taking Matt's course and he explains things a lot better than other resources and I've tried several while self-learning. I think it's great how I can always refer back to SheCodes for learning resources. He simplifies a complex process and makes coding exciting! It is also great that the SheCodes team can help everyone figure out their errors and correct themselves versus struggling to fix the code which could take much longer, save yourself the time and stress and take the course!
My SheCodes journey was incredible, and I liked it so much; the lessons were clear to follow and genuinely challenged me. I was always intimidated and scared by coding; now, I feel eager to learn and discover more. And I can't recommend it enough to anyone who wants to learn in a great environment.
When I first joined SheCodes I was expecting a lot of difficult learning, for some reason and when it started it was easy and fun. It took me a while to finish just three weeks because I am studying in college. I could have finished sooner if I wasn't such a big procrastinator as well. 😂 I ended up just enjoying coding so much I decided to see if there are any degrees at school I can do coding in. Since I did this just for fun I never thought id end up finding out that I have a passion for something more than sleeping, gaming, and anime. 😂
It's very satisfying to make a website look good on desktop AND on mobile devices! It's a lot of work, but the feeling of accomplishment as I put together the portfolio was rewarding. I enjoyed learning all the concepts, and I highly recommend the course to those looking for in-depth web development skills!
After finishing SheCodes Basics, I got a message from Matt asking what my next steps were in my coding journey. I had already enrolled in a longer Full-Stack bootcamp so I told him that I had only planned on taking the SheCodes Basics workshop as an intro into coding. Well, a few weeks into the longer bootcamp and I missed Matt's teaching style and the layout of SheCodes so much that I signed up for SheCodes Plus and attempted both courses at the same time! 😍 Not only was SheCodes Plus an amazing experience that grew my knowledge and confidence in coding, but it helped me understand concepts I was also learning in my longer bootcamp. I can't say enough good things about SheCodes. Will I sign up for SheCodes Responsive next, even though I am still in my bootcamp? The answer is probably, most likely! 😄 Thank you SheCodes! 🙌

This was a great workshop for those wanting to discover web development and develop basic coding skills. I used to feel apprehensive about learning JavaScript, but after this workshop, I feel very excited to keep learning it and discovering all it can do!

After a year of wage-cucking (trying to salvage the table-scraps that are left of my life), I realized that the only way to take control of my life is by coding... SheCodes fits my budget. I don't have $10,000 to invest, because I don't even have $5 for lunch.

Learned a lot! Was never too overwhelmed and was able to do the challenges as a beginner. I do wish my homework and projects had a detail report on things I could improve on. But the team is great and pretty quick on answering in slack and emails.

Started from SheCodes Basics to React, by far this was the most challenging course. No doubt the learning curve for React was steep, at times the new concepts and functions were hard to grasp. However, Matt's videos always made easier to comprehend. I can't believe that I was able to build 2 React apps within 8 weeks! Looking forward to what's coming next
Did it again! I love and look forward to every lesson on SheCodes. With the amazing SheCode team and Matt's calm voice helped me go through this Plus workshop. It has been challenging but also, fulfilling. I'm super excited. I now, have stop doubting myself and it feels like I can do anything! Now moving on to React.....
What an amazing 8-week course. From being a beginner learner to being able to make a weather app work! I really enjoyed this course and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn in a great environment. The lessons were easy to follow and kept me motivated throughout the whole course. Keeps you interested and wanting to learn more! There is a great team of mentors to provide guidance if you get stuck. I think so far this was my favorite workshop! I loved learning about the responsiveness and getting insight on how homepage layouts change on mobile devices as well as SEO - something we use every day. I really haven't put too much thought into how all of this actually works so far but it was really, really interesting to learn and actually not as difficult as I thought it would be. Matt is a great teacher and I can't believe how much I have learned in just a couple months. There is one last workshop to complete for me and I am really excited to unlock even more skills and knowledge!

I've tried to learn code many times in the past but have always got stuck. Matt's classes are straightforward and easy to understand, and I've genuinely learned more in the last 3 weeks than I could ever do on my own. So excited to learn more, and to see where these new skills can take me.

This was absolutely the most fun course so far. I had so many lightbulb "ah ha!" moments and really felt the need to push myself to make my final product the best that it could be. This course made me feel like I'm ready to code anything! Really looking forward to taking on the next course with all I've learned from this one.
Amazing!! it's such a great feeling to know I have learned a new skill and with it can create projects like the Weather App. There are many pros to SheCodes, but the one thing I absolutely love about it is the fact that Matt teaches with real-life examples.

SheCodes team is beyond explanation.I can't describe how great I felt during this workshop and learning how to code from Matt Delac! I think every woman no matter where she lives or what she does,should start coding with this amazing team.I didn't know anything about coding and now I'm surprised how much I've learned in only 3 weeks.
Before I start working on this workshop, I was not sure if I could finish the course because I am a procrastinator when it comes to self-paced. However, once I start learning coding it was really fun and I enjoyed creating something new from scratch. I will keep learning until I am confident enough to explore a new career!

I enjoyed SheCodes Plus as much as I did the introduction course. Learning how to code involves a whole new way of thinking. I always wanted to learn coding and after completing the SheCodes Basic workshop I can say that I really enjoy it! I loved the mix of videos, exercises and bigger projects at the end to combine and refresh everything that has been learned! I have enjoyed every aspect of this course and found it perfect for my needs. The mix of learning and projects was key, plus the constant support via email and Slack channels really helped! After completing the SheCodes Basics and SheCodes Plus workshop I started with SheCodes Responsive and I didn't expect to have so much fun learning to create a responsive website. If you want to become a web developer or if you are interested in building a website from scratch, this course is a must-do as online traffic on other devices than a desktop is increasing. I would definately recommend!
I have learnt so much with SheCodes! The course was easy to follow and very comprehensive. As an absolute beginner, I was a little bit nervous at first, but now I am much more confident about my skills and ability to code.:)

SheCodes is great, the weekly learning goals and daily challenges keep you up to pace with the learnings. After the Basics workshop I still find it challenging but coding became a lot more accessible to me.
As I already had a portfolio website, I decided to continue a project from University - Cooking Goes Green! It's a project showcasing the best of sustainable food - the fact you can make delicious food without the food waste and the sheer breadth of food you can make. Take a look at the site full of the different recipes you can make!

SheCodes is great! I love how engaging and easily digestible each lesson is. The instructor, Matt, offers a lot of helpful tips and resources along the way to help you even after you finish the program. As a full-time working mom of two young children, I especially appreciate how flexible the program is. I have done a lot of research on coding workshops, and this was one of the few that had flexible schedules, relevant course material, all for an affordable price. Highly recommend!

I studied Linguistics in college. I was also fascinated by computer languages but was always unsure I could succeed in coding. SheCodes basics gave me the opportunity to try it out. I only wish I had tried this sooner!

I wasn't as confident with coding to start off and found it extremely stressful, however completing this course with SheCodes has given me a whole different aspect on coding and now I really enjoy it, this is all thanks to SheCodes. Matts videos were extremely informative and the rest of the team are also very supportive, would recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to enhance their coding skills or just want to try something new and get in to the world of coding :)
I love SheCodes! Matt makes everything very easy to understand and even when I get stuck, other members are on Slack who might be having the same issue and you will find what you need. Matt even encourages you to google when you can't find an answer on Slack. I've only gotten stuck twice and found the solution easily by ways of Slack or a simple google search. The homework and projects are a great way to put everything I've learned into action and it's fun for me at the same time. Thank you, SheCodes!
I would highly recommend this workshop for anyone remotely interested in learning how to code! It is ideal for women who work full time as the classes are completely flexible and you can work at your own pace. It has been so interesting working through challenges and thinking logically in order to get the code to work. I look forward to starting the next SheCodes workshop - on to SheCodes Plus!

When I did the challenges, I barely needed to check for similar problems, I think that Matt explains every lesson perfectly and in a way that everyone can understand, and I think it's exactly what a beginner needs.
Eventhough coding can be frustrating at times, is great when you can make it work. I've already learnt alot, and hope to learn even more. 💪
