Literally the best workshops I ever attended!
When I started this course, I had never coded before! I now feel super confident with basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and have completed a project that I'm really proud of. Matt is an excellent teacher! He breaks each new piece of information down into bitesize lessons that make coding fun and easy to understand. He also demonstrates what not to do and common mistakes that are easy to make, which — as an absolute beginner — I have found really helpful. I aim to continue on my coding journey with SheCodes Plus.
An amazing course, simple to follow but with enough content to keep you busy through the course and eager to learn more. Looking forward to the next one!

I loved this course! I had so much fun learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Before, I used to use UX builders on WordPress to "build" websites, but now, I'm on my way to learning how to build them from 0 the way I exactly design them. Wow! I made it to the end of all the SheCodes Workshops! I am thankful for the push into the tech world that these workshops have given me. I now have some in-depth knowledge on how to make APIs work, and how to build and host my own websites using bootstrap and netlify. So happy to have picked up new skills that I can immediately apply to my role.

It is easy to follow and a good workshop for beginners to start their coding journey.
Great workshop overall! SEO portion was kind of small, only a few tips. still very useful but I thought there would've been more. Also, I would suggest doing this one before learning React. It would follow the previous one better and once you learn React you're doing things completely differently.

I liked how the concepts are broken down in small parts and are followed by a small exercise. I had no coding knowledge and it was easy to follow the course.

I wanted to learn how to code for a long time now but was first very doubtful about my capacities in learning coding by myself (based on online tutorials). I wanted to take the challenge and so i suscribed to Shecodes! This workshop and the way Matt explained coding made it super fun and interesting to learn. It also helped me to gain more confidence in my skills and learning abilities. What i really liked, was the community feeling behind shecodes that made the learning process, very interactive and motivating !
This workshop was interesting enough for me to find motivation and willingness to finish it before deadline, which is a huge advantage.

There are things that definitely set SheCodes apart from other coding classes. I was reluctant to commit to anything because most try to describe what coding is and what the experience will be like without ever understanding what it means to be an absolute beginner. In the introductory presentation Matt does more than tell, he demystifies coding by showing what it is in an approachable way. That carries through to the lessons too. That's what won me over. I consider this a great investment.
Easy to learn and highly effective! I definitely feel like I have a better understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and enough to read and understand code as it comes up throughout my job. Would definitely recommend the course!

This was way more fun than I expected, and I really enjoyed playing around with the various HTML, CSS and JS elements to tweak the final webpage! Matt's guidance is really clear along the process, with encouragement given to try more things if one wishes.

I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone interested in learning coding! The idea of learning coding can be a little daunting, but I genuinely enjoyed learning coding on SheCodes from start to finish. Though it can be really challenging, the style of teaching and the videos makes it easy to follow and I wouldn't have traded learning anywhere else.
I like the pace of the instruction and the video approach which allows me to review the lessons multiple times.

I thought coding was really difficult but Matt makes it so fun and easy to understand! It was a great experience!
I thought coding was very intimidating to even try to learn, assuming it would require months/years to acquire the knowledge. I did not realize it's that EASY and fun! 🙌🏼 If you're a visual designer and what a challenge or just want to try something new, I highly recommend SheCodes. I fell in love with coding after completing the Basics course, so moving on to SheCodes Plus was really a no-brainer! Although the course itself if much more challenging, Matt's lessons are so clear and helpful. I've absolutely loved learning more advanced techniques, and starting to work towards my professional career by learning how to host my code to the public. Seeing everything you have learned come together in the final project is really exciting and I can't wait to keep learning!

Wow!!! What an amazing journey this has been! I loved learning about react and creating different projects using this framework. Matt does an excellent job of simplifying the concepts. I am very proud of my Dictionary app, and to think a few months ago I had zero knowledge of coding 😲. I am looking forward to continuing my coding journey and learning more. The video included with each lesson was very helpful. I wish each lesson came with literature explaining WHY each of those commands yields its specific function. If I am indeed learning a language, the purpose of certain commands is important to understand more than memorize.
I enjoyed the workshop a lot. Even though it was a hughe challenge and it sometimes felt like I am learning too much - my head was almost exploding! But Matt explained everything step by step and I could jump to a previous video to get an explanation again. I can highly recommend this beginner workshop!
One of the greatest courses ever!
Coming from a background in the arts — writing, translating, and art curation — I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I was able to follow along and understand all the lessons in this workshop. But it's really no surprise, since Matt is a natural educator. Everything is so well organized in this course, and I would absolutely recommend it. Can't wait to start the next one ;)

SheCodes is a great learning tool for anybody wanting to start their coding journey! I really liked that I was able to create a portfolio at the end of my coding journey. This portfolio demonstrates the skills that I have learned.

Very straight forward - really great introduction.
SheCodes Basics is great if you want to learn the basics but I have to confess that I was expecting a little bit more. I believe there's room for improvement regarding the training structure/methodology.
The hardest program so far but gets easier as you go.
SheCodes is one of the greatest workshops because there are a lot of challenges that you have to submit to the site and after that you they give you feedback and you have to resend your answer. On the other hand, you can watch the correct solution at the end of each session after uploading your answer.
It was fun and definitely very useful! I would recommend to anyone interested!
SheCodes Plus has been an amazing experience! The lessons are structured in a way I believe really helps you to gain an understanding of each particular topic, but most of all they are easy to understand and exciting to complete. I feel like I have learned so much during this workshop! I can't quite believe that just over a month ago I had no clue what each different coding language did and now I have built a weather app! I am so grateful to SheCodes for their fantastic workshops which have helped me secure my first role as a junior software developer! I can't wait to dive right into the next workshop!

A great course, not as comprehensive as the others, which is why it was a shorter duration, I would have liked a bit more fleshed-out lessons for Flexbox. I would have prefered if some of the 'informative lessons' from weeks 1&2 were a bit more comprehensive and then have the code-along lessons from weeks 3-5 be a bit more concise instead. I think the duration could have been cut down by a week. Overall it was informative and useful.

I appreciate the structured classes that give you a chance to practice what you learn by coding in challenges and finally in weekly homework assignments. Matt has a good teaching style that shows you how to approach coding assignments and test to see if its working in a step by step manner that I think beginners, and those that might just jump in or are a bit further along in their coding journey can appreciate. When you don't know the first thing about coding, it is beneficial to have that guidance. I found that his calm approach to problems/error messages that popped up in the console while coding had an affect on me, reminding me to be calm in approaching challenges in the future as I try to figure out the solution. It was beneficial to hear that it's not something we have to freak out over.
This course was awesome! Matt has such a great way of explaining things in a way that make it very clear and easy to understand. The format with small videos on individual topics, so you learn one concept at a time is great.
It was a very fun journey to learn coding through this workshop with SheCodes. Every challenge of each lesson helped me a lot to understand more. I enjoyed it and I'm very excited to continue this journey.

Thanks to SheCodes and the whole team. These months were so great and I learned so much in such a short time. I always wanted to get more inside into the coding world and struggled to find the right set up. With SheCodes I finally could find the right structure. I really appreciated the weekly learnings with listening and then directly practicing the new learned topics in small challenges, bigger homeworks and finally also projects. Thank you so much for this environment.
Even though this course was challenging, there was plenty of help to get me through my problems!
A few lessons were not my cup of tea to be honest and made me sweat but once you break through those (with taking a LOT of breaks in between), a whole new world opens up. That is how I can sum up the Plus workshop. I've learnt a lot and never been happier for signing up for this one! So looking forward to the next workshop!
