I loved this workshop! As a beginner, this was the first time that I had such amazing tutorials and guidance with an online course. I am excited to continue learning through these workshops and make a complete career change!!
I'm so excited about the knowledge and understanding I've gained through SheCodes Basics! My brain is now ticking with ideas of where I can use it, and I can already see how much easier it will be to communicate with engineers at my company. Most of all, I really had fun learning and got to be creative with my coding!
what a great workshop! A few weeks ago I started as an absolute beginner and today I built a webpage with HTML,CSS and JavaScript.
Great workshop for true beginners! I had no prior knowledge and learned so much in just 3 short weeks.
I found SheCodes structured enough for it to hold you accountable, but also fun and engaging. I am hoping to get onto the more advanced courses so I can learn more. I already had a bit of JS knowledge so the basics was not overly challenging, but I still enjoyed coding the project A LOT, it is my first real-looking webpage and I am quite happy with how it turned out!
I had a blast creating my online portfolio with Matt. He's so candid and doesn't mind making mistakes, which shows us ladies that it's ok to make mistakes and struggle. Things always come together if we keep working at them. I look forward to moving onto SheCodes React!
I would have never guessed I could absorb so much great information about coding and especially React! Matt lays everything out in such an organized and comprehendible way and makes it so much easier to grasp! Thank you!

Coding with SheCodes was a great beginning for me. I tried to self-learn before but it definitelly wasn't as effective. I learned a lot and I'm glad that I can show my friends the weather application that I created!

SheCodes Basics was a great beginners course! I had some prior HTML/CSS knowledge from my MySpace days, but the instructor, Matt, did a great job going a little deeper into each topic. Javascript was brand new to me, so Week 2 was a little trickier but rewarding. Matt did a good job providing a clear overview of JavaScript basics. I loved all the exercises after each lesson, and I thought the weekly homework was an awesome way to put what I learned into practice. Overall, the course was appropriately challenging and fun!
An absolutely brilliant workshop! Challenging at times and a lot more granular than expected from a 3-week program. Very hands-on and with lots of practical tips!

This has been much more challenging but feels that much more rewarding. I've always liked coding but it's now that I realize that I think it's fun. The way JavaScript is taught in these lessons is far more digestible than in other courses, and while still difficult at times, not impossible. I feel that I've made it much farther than I have before. I already recommend these workshops to other people, and want to continue so I can get make a career out of this like I've wanted.

The units were entertaining, informative, and easily understood, even for a person who has absolutely zer0 coding and computer science background! This course was challenging in the best ways, however I was quite surprised at how naturally it came after getting a better understanding of the languages and the rules. I had way more fun then I was expecting too. 💜 As a woman who works in the beauty industry I feel pretty bad ass knowing the basics of coding, and I'm excited to learn more!👩💻👩💻👩💻
In just 3 weeks I learned about HTML, CSS, JavaScript languages and I enjoy every steps of my learning with SheCodes. This is easily the best $100 I've ever spent! I had always been told coding was only for people who are "really good at math". I'm glad I enrolled despite apprehensions. The class was so straight forward and easy to follow. Can't wait to continue developing skills for a career as a front end developer.
This course is a coding advantage. The fact that they teach you a language that many companies are using gives a plus to your learning. Although you must have some prior knowledge, I felt that my knowledge increased a lot and it was not so complicated for me. In addition, the support of the team always helps you get ahead.
This was completely out of my comfort zone coming from a health background, but I am so glad I did it. It was well set out and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this to fellow beginners!

SheCodes Basic was a lovely intro to HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I loved the classes and the challenges. This just gives you a little glimpse at the great possibilities knowing how to code can create.
I LOVE LOVE LOVED this course, it was very challenging but everything was still explained very nicely. I've been through the trials and tribulations of many online coding resources and this has been by far my favorite. Matt teaches in a way that is not holding your hand through the entire process but giving you the tools you need to assess the problem. I've been wanting to start coding for a while but have never been able to afford the courses. Then I came across SheCodes and it is honestly one of the best things I've ever done! The lessons are really easy to follow and when you complete the homework you get a real sense of achievement. I can't wait to upgrade to the next course.
wow...! I really feel like a developer now. I`d watched a lot of tutorials before this course but I never got the handle of Javascript as much as I do now. I think the reason of this mastery is that in each lesson there is a challenge to complete the lesson. so we are kinda forced to exercise everything we learn right after the tutorial. this way you get used to new things and gradually you store more skills in your coding arsenal. And finally, I absolutely recommend SheCodes plus because you're gonna ENJOY coding and this enjoying part is the most important thing in my opinion.
It's amazing what a person can achieve once they dedicate themselves and receive good guidance. That's why I recommend SheCodes to all women who want to enter the world of technology but don't know where to start. In no time you will be coding and it will be just the beginning of an exciting journey!
SheCodes workshops are amazing, but I really like this one, because it is close to Graphic Design. The final proyect is a portfolio, I recomend to use this oportunity and look futher to our futures, work slowly work secure and use this proyect in real life.
I just love every minute of these last two projects. I am looking forward to doing it again on my own and being able to put everything I learned to practice. It's been a pleasure to get into SheCodes and I will definitely miss the courses now that I have finished all.
Going through the workshop was pretty intense, for all the good reasons. I usually paused and asked myself how hard it would have been learning all that Java Script without an instructor who broke everything into reasonable bits that one can easily absorb and process. Matt has been such a great instructor. The Slack technical team was amazing too. Well, Slack is where I learnt from other SheCoders that it is OK to feel stuck while working on a project, and that there is no shame at SheCodes if you cannot piece everything together at a given time. We are all learning and supportive of each other. Definitely, SheCodes is the place to be for everyone willing to learn coding. Here's to, as Matt says, happy coding.

As an absolute beginner, my experience with SheCodes was great. I was afraid I would not be able to do it, that I would find it too hard or get stuck or just bored of it, but it was the opposite. Thanks to a great team that is always ready to support you and Matt's very clear lessons, I managed to get through all classes and challenges and I actually understood how much I like coding. This is of course just the beginning, but I have found something challenging and fun that I really enjoy doing. I suggest to everybody who is interested in coding to give this a try and not be afraid: it is gonna be a rewarding experience.

I'm a working single mom, enrolled in online school full time, with a background in art. I was able to complete all of the SheCodes workshops in 5 months, and I am so happy that I committed my time to the workshops! I am so proud of the work I completed, the apps I built, and all of the connections I made along the way. I cannot wait to take my new skills into the workforce and into my art!

Learning to code through the SheCodes workshops has been a great experience! At the beginning of last summer, I didn't know how to write any CSS or Javascript. Through consistently spending 5-10 hours a week working through the workshops at times that fit my own schedule, I now feel comfortable building React apps.
I learned a lot of advanced HTML, CSS. I am so excited to continue my learning toward react programming. Thank you shecodes team.

I loved this course, I learnt a lot and I am ready to learn much more. It was my first encounter with coding and it was fun!
This was my first SheCodes class and it was a really great experience! It covered quite a bit in the few weeks but we got so much hands on practice as we went through each topic. The community aspect was great when running into issue or trying to troubleshoot. The videos themselves were short but informative. For an asynchronous class, this was one of the best experiences I have had.
SheCodes Basics made me realize that is not that hard to code. If you dedicate a small amount of your time to learn, is super fun and anyone can do it!
I honestly took this course to add something to my resume and learn something new. Mission accomplished. this course had a lot of information for a 3-week course. I am considering purchasing the additional course.

This is one of the best online workshops I've done. The lessons are thorough and the challenges/homework are incredibly thoughtful. The course teaches you basics as it promises. But, even more valuable, it teaches you logic and how to solve problems. I thoroughly enjoyed the course!
As a serious beginner...not knowing how to code at all it was really enjoyable and very easy to learn!

As someone who has always had an interest in coding and tech but never knew how to get in (and having left school!) I really thought I would never be able to learn a skill such as this. After being recommended the course through a friend I couldn't be happier with the results so far! Great teaching tools and support through the Slack community and fun challenges with the appropriate amount of 'hand holding' vs encouragement to find the answers yourself! Very excited to move on to the next course and see where I end up. Hopefully this will give me the toolkit to change my career! Thanks Matt and the team! x
