I've done some coding before, and was looking to refresh my web programming knowledge. The SheCodes Basic workshop has done that and more! Matt explains concepts in a clear, concise manner, and I had a lot of fun applying what I'd learned to the projects set out each week. I've never really considered myself to be a computer genius, so the idea of me coding seemed impossible. That being said, I decided to take a chance on participating in the SheCodes Basics Workshop, and I am so glad I did!! I still have a lot of learning to do, but these past 3 weeks have shown me that coding isn't as intimidating as I originally believed. I loved it! It was so satisfying to figure things out for myself. The instructor doesn't just give you the answers, he teaches you techniques and allows you to make your own solutions.

I personally loved this program. I wanted a chance to understand the basic tools of coding in hopes of pursuing my dream job of being a software engineer. This program did exactly that, I was blown away with how much I was able to learn in such a short amount of time. I am very grateful for how the course was directed by Matt Delac, he gave me the tools and resources to help me succeed. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone interested in learning about coding.

I really enjoyed learning through SheCodes. I love the way the classes are laid out. It was nice to have short videos, fun projects to do, and after you submit your projects, the solutions are provided. It really helped me learn a lot and I'm really excited to move on to the advanced classes!
As a project manager who works with developers on a daily basis, I signed up to this course hoping to learn some basics of coding to expand my knowledge. I was not disappointed. I was very impressed with the quality and detail of the course, but also the way it was delivered was very clear. It ensured the student wasn't just watching a YouTube video, but actually put into practice the lessons learned. The timing of the work was perfect for me, five hours per week is doable for someone with a full time job (or someone who is a new mother). It allowed me to focus on lessons, complete my assignments and absorb the learning properly.
This course was the perfect mix of challenging and accessible. There were weeks where I didn't know if I would persevere, but the lessons and other available resources did an excellent job of tying everything together. After completing the Basic and Plus programs, I am sad it's over and strongly considering registering for other workshops!

I've been wanting to learn to code for years, but always felt intimidated about how or where to start. I'm so glad I found SheCodes and decided to give it a try! Best decision ever! I joined SheCodes after taking their free workshop that was advertised on Instagram. That workshop was very inspiring and I'm glad I chose to enroll. Matt is a great teacher and the staff here make sure that you know they are available to help anytime. I learned a lot in the 3-week Basics course and I'm even thinking about upgrading. I'm very grateful to have stumbled upon this opportunity.
I'm so happy I decided to venture into the world of coding with SheCodes. It's just the beginning and I can say that it hasn't been easy for me since I've never been tech-savvy. Completing the first workshop has been a struggle, but one that my brain and I welcome. It's very rewarding when I'm actually able to figure things out, and do things I'd never thought I'd be capable of understanding, much less doing.

This is my third workshop with SheCodes, and I'll definitely be coming back to learn React! There's just enough information in these courses to teach you the foundational knowledge you need to become a developer without holding your hand every step of the way. This was definitely a challenging final project, but there's nothing more satisfying than learning from your mistakes!
I loved this program! I knew absolutely nothing about HTML, CSS or JavaScript and Matt made the learning process fun. The program is paced perfectly with assignments that actually use the skills you are learning. I'm excited for the next workshop!

SheCodes blew away my expectations! I had taken a class last month on coding basics, but didn't really learn much. After finding this workshop I'm glad I signed up. It taught me way more than I ever thought would be in a beginner coding class. Matt explained everything in such a simple and yet knowledgeable way and all the lessons were very well laid out and easy to understand. If you're ever thinking about getting into coding, I very much recommend SheCodes!!
I was a little nervous to start something new that I had no idea about. I knew this was something I could possibly see myself doing and after taking the introductory course I want to continue on this path! The lessons were challenging but Matt makes them easy to follow. This is the start of a career change and I couldn't be more excited!

Throughout my SheCodes journey, I have gained an abundance of knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I've learned to incorporate fontawesome and bootstrap and can successfully design responsive and SEO-friendly websites. This basics course was an excellent beginning to coding! I honestly learned so much and am still excited to learn more. The courses are short and sweet. I really enjoyed learning the process a small step at a time. I'm an illustrator (now seeking a career as a front-end developer) and this was entirely new knowledge to me, but from the way that these lessons were taught, I learned the coding basics pretty quickly. Excited for the next course!

This workshop is definitely much more challenging than SheCodes Basics but this also makes it more rewarding. You dive much deeper into JavaScript and learn about API & GitHub - integral parts of Front-End Development. With each workshop, I am getting more and more interested in Web Development, so I am looking forward to learning more in SheCodes Responsive!
The world of coding is a bit intimidating for someone like me. My full career has been based around customer service and hospitality. SheCodes, and Matt, helped me realize that even after 10 years post college, I can learn something brand new! I hope to continue to grow my coding knowledge and one day transfer these skills into my career path!

I am working in IT industry and talk with developers almost on daily basis, so I decided that it was useful to get some basic coding knowledge to be able to speak the same language with them. I really enjoyed the workshop, everything is explained in details and it is clear even if you don´`t have any previous knowledge. I also liked the the challenges and appreciated the support in Slack.

The workshop is very nicely paced and Matt explains everything very well. The challenges posted are quite helpful since we get to do something on our own to build us some practical experience. I really had fun doing the final project.

I've gone from knowing nothing about JavaScript to understanding API integrations. This is a great course for someone who wants to understand how websites function and for those who want to learn how to build their own. I'll be looking forward to taking on the Responsive course to take my learning to the next step.

Woohoo! I have achieved my final certificate with SheCodes (React)! It's bittersweet as I'm going to miss the community and the staff.
