I tried a lot of self paced online training and none of them can compete with the level of SheCodes! The videos/exercices are so well made and playful. In only 3 weeks I can say that I understand how coding works whilst working a full time job! I love how the lessons were broken down for a total beginner. The sequence of skills and tasks were logical and accessible. I also appreciated the tips on best resources to problem-solve. There is also some flexibility with the deadlines which I definitely needed. All in all, I would highly recommend SheCodes!

I've always been interested in coding but never thought I will be able to do it! All the lessons are really easy to understand and easy to follow :) I'm really happy I signed up for this course because I enjoyed a lot working on every project through the course!
Teacher Matt tried to teach many things but definitely not enough to do the final project. Obviously teacher knows this very well so he technically led the students to build the weather app step by step, for the last 2 weeks. He'll say "Let's do this, and this, then this..." I followed his steps and copied his code line by line and then finally it worked, of course. But to do it again all by myself? Definitely no way. It is like you learnt how to do the math, then even one-dimensional linear equation, but the final test is calculus. Teacher knows you can't do it so he writes the answer on the blackboard, and says "okay this is quite challenging but if you learn React it is much easier." Seriously? To sell senior class to a totally confused student?
I had a lot of fun with SheCodes! I work in the IT industry and my goal was to understand what generally coding is about. The basic workshop met my expectations even more than imagined. Really considering SheCodes Plus in the future!
I really enjoyed this course, it's easy to understand and has great resources. Getting started with coding was so much easier than i thought!

SheCodes Basics has been fantastic! I have learnt so much, and have been really inspired with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The course was really engaging and fun, I loved doing the challenges and projects.
I've been learning so many different coding courses online but only SheCodes workshops keep me going and completely build up my skills. Although there're barely any interactions between the instructor and the student, all lessons are well prepared and delivered. I remember trying to memorise every elements in the very first lesson and now I can build a webpage on my own! It doesn't look so complicated but that's my work, that's how I develop throughout 3 weeks and needless to say, I'm so proud of myself 🙆♀️
Such a fun and engaging course. The team were wonderfully helpful and I can't wait to hopefully get started on the next stage!

I learned so much during this course. I wasn't sure I was able to grasp it all, but Matt made it really easy to understand and broke down each concept. I was able to build on the Basics course and learn more advanced HTML, CSS, and Javascript while also learning about API and Hosting. I can't believe I made a weather app from scratch that actually uses real data!
I truly believe that this course has helped me out in learning more about coding. It is a remarkable course. I have learned a lot from these past few weeks. I am very please with the results that I have been seeing. Looking forward to all of the new lessons.
SheCodes was a great introduction to coding. It was very beginner-friendly and engaging. The projects were appropriately difficult for each stage of the course, and I'm proud to have been able to complete the final project.

The workshop was great. I had a small amount of coding knowledge going into it, but definitely learned way more than I knew and have better clarity on what to focus on next! The videos had plenty of tips and tricks to help guide you along the way, and if I got stuck, a team member or fellow student was quick to answer and take a look at my code for where I was making a mistake! I was very appreciative of this feature as many websites do not have this! Overall, I would recommend! I now look at webpages in a completely new light!

I was scared to NOT understand all those symbols and words coding languages are consisting of, well, not anymore: 10 out of 10 times I would recommend to join SheCodes if your goal is to really learn and start coding by yourself! The workshops are easy to understand and follow, the slack crowd is the most supportive. I am shocked and proud of myself :)
10/10 would recommend - I always thought of myself as a person who was simply bad at tech and anything to do with computers really. Turns out coding can be a lot of fun, especially for creative minds like myself. :)
This was such a great course! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a refresher, or even someone just beginning. I hadn't taken a coding class in years. It was challenging but so worth it. I had so much fun with the final assignment, and the rest of the workshop was great as well. I knew some HTML and CSS from before, but it was nice to be able to have it make more sense than it did before. A very good entroduction to the world of programming!

I have always been interested in learning to code, however I never thought it was something I could do because I don't have a masters in computer science. Taking the SheCodes course has helped me learn and understand the basics of coding. I was scrolling through Instagram one day, and came across SheCodes 1 hour intro to coding, as soon as I finished the free intro I signed up for the basics course just to see if I would like it. Half way through the basics course, I decided I wanted to learn more, so I signed up for the plus course. It's really nice having the SheCodes slack community to help when you get stuck, or frustrated. It also helped keep me motivated. I love that there are deadlines, and homework, because it helps me set a schedule for myself. Rather than it being at your own pace, because then I'd never get around to actually doing it.
Just a few short weeks ago, the thought of having to code an entire webpage seemed incredibly daunting. Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team, I see now that it is completely possible! The lesson videos are very comprehensible, and the challenges and homework assignments helped keep me on track throughout the course. I have learned so much in the past few weeks, and am becoming more confident in my coding abilities. I am already looking forward to beginning the next course!

I have to say that these past 3 weeks were really fun and I learnt a lot. What surprised me the most is that the course was not only really easy to understand but the exercises were really practical (and it had solution to it which made it even more awesome). This course was perfect that even a mom with a newborn could handle and an incredible introduction to JavaScript and API that I genuinely enjoyed! I'm currently on maternity leave and wanted to do something for myself during my time away from work while my son napped during the day. This course opened my eyes to the world of coding. As a Product Manager, I cannot recommend more than for all PMs to take SheCodes to better understand what our engineers do on a day-to-day basis for better collaboration and product development. Absolutely brilliant! I never thought I'd be able to get into coding especially since I hadn't taken ICT or Cumputer Science at school, however this site provides the tools and knowledge to get started even if you're a complete beginner. I will definitely be continuing with the courses and encourage anyone, who even remotely ponders the idea of starting a career in tech, to join. Thank you Matt for the clear vidoes!

SheCodes Basic really helped me gain a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Before taking the course I had no prior knowledge of coding or computer science. Wow, I can't believe how quickly those 8 weeks went by! After finishing the SheCodes Basics Workshop last December I was really excited to start this new project and learn more about coding and Javascript. Not gonna lie, at times it was quite difficult to understand and I struggled to follow. But this is what I really enjoy about this course and the concept: you can do everything at your own pace - if you don't understand it you can just re-watch all the videos, you can do it step by step and you can ask for help. I am really proud of what I have learned already in this short time and I am so excited to continue this journey :)

Learning React was a journey, not always easy but very satisfying once things started working.
