In general, the course is not bad, although it gives you the basics and then you need to move on to other courses. It explains quite well, but sometimes due to the fact that the task in the challenge changes from lesson to lesson, you have to sit over the code for a long time and think about where is my id or what to delete.
Signing up for SheCodes was hands-down the best decision I have ever made! I had wanted to attend a coding workshop for years but was worried I would be over my head. The one-hour free introduction course provided sold me on signing up, and I had an absolute blast completing all the challenges. I looked forward to learning, and look forward to attending another workshop in the near future. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!

100% recommend this course to anyone who is new to coding. Coding may seem intimidating but Matt breaks these classes down into short videos so it is easy to understand. Whenever I had any problems, Matt and his team answered my queries within 2 hours. I love the fact that after each tutorial video, there is a challenge to work on to ensure that we've understood the lesson. The project was pretty tedious for me but was definitely a fun experience!

I have worked in digital marketing for 6+ years and wanted to explore the world of tech. For many years I thought there was no place for me because I do not have an affinity for math and science, but I was wrong. I'm excited to become a front-end developer, and to specialize in an area of tech.
I was very nervous to start this course, to my surprise I learned a lot from SheCodes. I did not have a lot of background knowledge of how to code and I feel like I learned a lot based on the program.

It's an environment where you are encouraged to try different solutions and "break things" because they can always be fixed. I didn't imagine that coding is something that I could ever learn; I have always thought that it is a very complicated subject and only those good in math or "engineers" can understand it. But as I started the lessons I began to see that it can be an interesting and fun experience. SheCodes lessons were divided into a few minutes per topic so the student wouldnβt be overwhelmed. There were challenges at the end of each lesson so it served as a review and to practice what I understood about the topic. Matt is also a great instructor; he was able to explain things very well, in a simple and clear manner. I found myself looking forward to watching each lesson! I enjoyed the course a lot. The course doesn't require any previous programming experience and is suitable for absolute beginners who would like to try programming but don't know where to start. In the beginning, I just wanted to support the team for giving Ukrainian women an opportunity to learn web development during these harsh times. And in the end, I actually had a lot of fun doing all the homework, watching the videos, and learning. I have already recommended this course to a friend of mine.
I was quite hesitant before signing up because I didn't think I would be able to learn how to code. But the lessons are very well designed: the videos are short which makes it accessible, the exercises are fun but difficult enough to make it challenging and there is constant interaction with the SheCodes team π©βπ» in case you have questions. Also, since English is not my native language, I was afraid that learning to code would be a double challenge for me. But Matt speaks slowly and is super clear, plus there are tools like Close Caption to help those who have English as their second or third language. I highly recommend it; this course proves that we can all code πͺπ½πͺπ½.

Im a 28 year old mom of 2 heading for a complete career change. This program has helped me really level up my skills and prepared me to be out on the field.
This was another excellent workshop. The creation of the weather app was engaging from beginning to end. In each video Matt explained everything really clearly. He was always challenging me to do my best and although it wasn't easy, it wasn't impossible. Matt really know how to go into concepts one step at a time and gradually took me from HTML and CSS to Bootstrap and JavaScript. This was another amazing workshop and I can't wait to the next.

I'm excited about the course! Information is easy to understand and absorb, homework right after each lesson allows you to memorize study material at one stroke. However, if you want to expand your skills faster, then you need additionally explore a lot.
