The SheCodes course perfectly pairs learning and practice. It's extremely helpful for any beginners out there who are interested in learning more about coding.
SheCodes made it easy to understand and learn. Even when I had troubles their program 'slack' was very useful.
The whole learning experience with SheCodes has been great! I've enjoyed every minute and while I'm excited and proud that I have completed the course, I'm a little sad that it's over. I have learned so much, and I am very pleased with my new skills. I will continue to practice and learn and hope to land a position as a developer soon! Thank you to the entire team at SheCodes!

This has been an amazing experience! I have taking some coding classes while getting my Engineering degree and couldn't grasp it to well. SheCodes has turned that around for me. I cannot wait to continue my journey with the rest of the SheCodes workshops and see what more I can do! I highly recommend these workshops!

SheCodes Basics has been really wonderful. I got to learn basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript and put all those knowledge in use while working on the project. The challenges at the end of each lesson really test your understanding which I feel was very helpful. I would definitely encourage women who are thinking in terms of coding to try the Basics workshop. It is fun, enjoyable and you get to learn actual coding !!!
I loved SheCodes so much! Matt made it so easy to learn the basics of front-end development. The lessons are very short and digestible, but long enough to get all the necessary information needed to complete your challenges and homework. The project was SO fun and I found it very easy to apply what I've learned to create my page. I'll definitely be taking a more advanced course in the future.
SheCodes has been an amazing journey. SheCodes Basics has simply been the best place for me to actually learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. We used real tools, and thus got to work in the environment that professionals operate in. Lessons are very hands-on and you need to use the knowledge you've learnt in a lesson in the next challenge, so you have to pay attention. It is no problem though, because Matt keeps it very fun, up-beat and engaging. I would highly recommend SheCodes for any girl/woman/lady+++ who wants to learn how to code.

These weeks have been challenging, humbling too, intense, and super fun! SheCodes and Matt make this journey a very special experience, and I dare to say-life changing. The 'ecossystem' created-the team support, the community of coders, the radio to keep you motivated, and SheCodes Foundation are remarkable, they state an example for other companies. Highly recommend SheCodes Basics, it requires some time management if you're working too, but it is totally manageable, so take the risk, you definitely won't regret it.
I enjoyed working on my project, though it was a bit challenging, because while coding, i still had to work and also nurse my 3month old baby. But in all i enjoyed it because i worked on something i would like to be a reality.
This was my last workshop with SheCodes and a great addition to the Basics, Plus and React. Building responsive websites is the future. You will learn so many new things. I highly recommend it as Matt explains everything in detail and the final project is so much fun.

This Workshop was really challenging with many new things to learn but also to remember from the previous workshops. It's nedded to be totally focus, but I really liked it. Before I thought it can be difficult and boring for me,but I was completely wrong.Sometime I was confused about CSS or JavaScript but I always found help in our Slack chat and step by step I learn how to code. I always thought coding was beyond me as it looked quite complex and overwhelming at first, but going through the course SheCodes Basics by Matt you learn step by step and break it down into smaller chunks. To me, it is liken to putting puzzle pieces together to form that bigger picture you had in mind! I highly recommend it as it challenges you to be creative and persevering. Also, it definitely opens up new doors for your career! 😁
I've tried many coding tutorials in the past, but SheCodes teaches material in a way that is fun and engaging. The material is taught in a manner where the student is not overburdened with trivial technicalities but given the necessary tools to explore and create projects that correlate well with real-world use cases. I'm very excited to make use of my skills, and I've learned more in 3 weeks than I ever did 6 months into so called web development courses.

Simply amazing! I cant believe I learned how to code a basic webpage in two and a half weeks. The last time I ever manipulated a HTML was to add music on MySpace in 2005. I did not think that I would be able to pick up this skill so quickly but with Matt's guidance and thorough explanation through each solution I was able to practice and produce a functional visible code starting from a blank page.
This is a great course that not only teaches you the basics in short, easy to follow video lessons, but also gives you the chance to practice and test your new knowledge. A very practical and useful course that I'm sure will help me develop the e-commerce side of my business!

I’ve always wanted to learn web development and chose SheCodes because it allowed me to learn anytime. As a full time working parent, finding an online course that I could fit into my schedule was really important. I was able to learn a lot and put it together to create project, something I wasn’t able to do with other online tutorials. Matthew does a great job of explaining everything. I would highly recommend.

In my opinion, SheCodes Course 1 helps entry level students with basics tools in JS, CSS and HTML. Those tools are useful if you would like to become a developer, mostly front end developer. Maybe, you should offer others types of knowledge, such as specialist's interviews into front end development, career talks, etc... just a suggest :)
This workshop was a great introduction to coding! I appreciated the flexibility to work on the course as my own pace, and the video instruction was clear and easy to understand.
Decided to take this course on a whim to learn a new skill and I'm very glad I did. I've had so much fun during this course! Classes were very easy to follow and explained curriculum very well. Can't wait to start the Plus part of the course!
SheCodes is the only program i have been able to grow as a coder. I tried other programs which were either too complicated or the tutors too unavailable. Am very grateful for such a platform to women. The interface is welcoming and the tutor very committed.Love it.

Learning how to build a multi-page website via SheCodes Responsive has been such a beneficial experience. Not only am I able to start applying what I've learnt onto simple web design jobs — I'm also able to showcase my portfolio on a website that can be counted as a project of itself too! 😄
I really enjoyed this program. The videos are well-detailed and helpful; during the difficult moments when my code breaks up/won't run, going back to calmly re-watch the videos, repeatedly if necessary, always helped me to identify my mistakes. I truly appreciate Matt and his team. They have done a very good work here.

This has been by far the best virtual class I have taken. The structure of the classes, homework, slack channels etc. are really amazing. The only thing I would change about it is a few of the videos. I found only a small number of the videos a bit confusing and I would go back a few times to watch them again and again ... I thought they could be better edited and explained at times.
I am so happy to improve myself as a developer.
This course has shown me how capable I am at starting this new road to web development. The material is beginner friendly, easy to follow, and manageable with a full time job. I was a bit fearful at the beginning but everytime I did the challenges I became more and more invested in coding. It was an interesting journey and I never expected how fun coding can be!
This is my third workshop. It incorporated and added to the knowledge acquired in the prior 2. I can't say that I enjoyed all of it, but I certainly learned a lot. It is intensive. But it did get easier as I proceeded through the course.
LOVED it! So much helpful, I've been able from the first week to use my knowledge into my job. Thank you!
My confidence in coding has increased significantly- just with this basic workshop. I appreciate how you already dive into both HTML and CSS at the same time. I was brand new to JavaScript. It can be challenge in understanding the logic and syntaxes but man once it clicks...it clicks! I am already looking forward to the next workshops!

I cannot believe that I am officially a SheCodes graduate! These past few months have been a fun learning experience, although tough at times. I studied graphic designing and I am currently living in Minnesota. I am absolutely new to coding but I was always curious to know how code works and I decided to take my curiosity to a step ahead and decided to learn code 😊.
I was able to learn at my own pace, which was perfect! I have a full-time job and trying to balance my current job with learning to code seemed like it couldn't be done. Thanks to SheCodes I have been able to start the process and enjoy every step of the way!

I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!

This workshop has helped me immensely because of its flexibility and it being online. I've gained back a lot of confidence in my skills and it's genuinely very well made! I didn't use the slack community much as I didn't need it but I think it's very well structured for absolute beginners, and to make them feel less intimidated by coding💖
I had so much fun during this course. I really enjoyed learning about responsive web design. Finishing the portfolio project was extremely rewarding, and it was so cool to go through the process of making my project look good on all devices.
