I found the past 8 weeks to be both challenging and rewarding. The course pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, and in doing so, I learned a lot. Each module was well-structured, making complex topics accessible and engaging. The hands-on projects allowed me to apply what I learned in a practical way, deepening my understanding of coding concepts.
SheCodes has truly helped me kickstart my coding journey. I now feel confident writing code in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. I’ve also discovered that coding is enjoyable—I can spend the whole day coding and still have fun

While I did learn a tonne in this course, the teaching style didn't totally resonate for me. I found a lot of the videos too brief and the explanations and visuals slightly erratic and redundant so I always had to use alternative sources to get explanations for the why behind things in order to understand what I was doing. I understand the thought process behind having us search for answers for some things beyond what was taught but I found there was quite a bit of 'do this as I do', but without the sufficient reasoning behind it, which personally my brain has a hard time with! But I did benefit a lot from all of the information provided and from the course structure with all the challenges and homework. The deadlines especially kept me on track! If I was just trying to learn coding on my own from online resources I would not have accomplished this much this fast!
This was a really fun way to learn the basics. Really enjoyed the teaching style. It takes you on a baby-step journey so you aren't overwhelmed with too much information. Looking forward to learning more.
Creating my online coding profile has not only marked a milestone in my learning journey but has also opened doors for future opportunities.
The SheCodes Basics workshop was an incredible experience that exceeded my expectations. I’ve always been curious about coding, but I never thought I’d have the confidence to try it. SheCodes helped me to hone my skills. I am a teacher who has always been passionate about integrating education with technology. Being a student at the SheCodes Foundation has helped me understand and appreciate the effort one needs to put in when one wants to apply technology to education. It has not been an easy journey but it was one journey that was worth taking.

I've been working through some difficult and long lessons, taking my time to learn step by step so I could fully understand the material, even though it was complicated. Finally, I finished my first project and uploaded it to GitHub, and I'm really proud of myself. Now, I just need to keep practicing so I can master JavaScript.

This workshop was full of learning and challenges and I've enjoyed working through each one gaining more knowledge and understanding. There were some tough challenges along the way but having online support and community to help during those times was so helpful and beneficial; it made my experience more achievable and I've been completely satisfied with the knowledge and resources that I've received during the course of this workshop.
