I used to think that coding was an intimidating concept, but I'm surprised by how much I've learned during the three weeks of this course. Matt is an excellent teacher and the lessons were structured in a way that was easy to follow, with resources available if I wanted to take what I've learnt a little further. Grateful for this experience as it encouraged me to learn more about coding!

At first I had trouble with HTML and being able to remember the codes and how to place them correctly in CSS, but with the help of Matt I was able to understand how to place my code correctly. Not forgetting the slack app he recommended for us to use, it came in very handy when I had challenges especially with my final project.

I joined SheCodes because trying to learn solo was not really working for me. I am glad on my decision because I am surprised at how fast I have grasped concepts and was able to put them on practice. The platform is really user-friendly and I consider its methodology to be successful on building knowledge and making progress. I found it nice to have a community where you can ask questions and feel supported in your journey.
The react add on through SheCodes was a great in depth program! I'm really starting to love React!

A nice one to try React. Not so hard to cry while you're coding. And not so easy to be bored. Good to have if you already made Weather app in Vanilla JS. It was interesting to port it to React. I wish we try temperature conversion in scope of this course :)

Matt makes learning to code so much easier with his 'back to basics' explanation. I was a complete beginner to coding when starting this course. I have now just created my first landing page using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This is something I wouldnt have thought would be possible 2 weeks ago!

The workshops has for-filled its set objective in terms of equipping yet again another student in the knowledge needed in relation to coding as a whole. There is an interest that grows daily as one continues ,working on projects that challenge you.

Before SheCodes I used several free online websites to learn HTML, CSS and javascript, and I have to say I am very impressed with SheCodes. Matt has a very clear way of teaching and also stimulates his students to search online for solutions to their coding problems, which is a very realistic way to enter the programming world and learn how to be independent while coding. With SheCodes Basics, I have discovered a new set of useful tools (e.g. info for CSS color palettes and gradients) that I had never encountered on free online websites. I am looking forward to the next workshops.

This Responsive course provided me with a new knowledge and helped me greatly in understanding how to create a responsive multipage website. While it initially posed some challenges, particularly for newcomers like myself, the experience was enjoyable, and I gained a tremendous amount of valuable insights.
I really enjoyed the Plus Workshop. It was challenging at times, but I managed to work through any problems either by myself or by using Slack. As with the other workshops, the lessons are really clearly explained and you can always repeat them if necessary. I am so pleased with the Weather App I have built; it's fairly basic, but it works, and I am so proud to have been able to achieve that!

I've tried learning how to code in past however, I couldn't complete as I felt it was too long and complicated. But SheCodes on the other hand was totally opposite. Clearly how I've reached this far. The course is not complicated and is structured in such a way that you are able to learn something new in every lesson. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into coding but is afraid as they feel they don't know anything about coding.

I have never worked with React before. This is why I learned a lot during this module. It was great fun to see how much easier it was to build the weather app by using react instead of plain html, css and javascript.

Some people discover their dream when they are 5 years, others at 38 years. I am among the latter. I set out to study how to code but every single opportunity I came across was either limited to people who had an undergraduate degree in IT or women below 35 years. And they all required paying and getting enrolled in school for up to 3 years. It broke my heart but I never gave up trying to find that once in a life time opportunity to live my dream. And then one day, I typed "free training for women" into google search and "SheCodes Foundation" popped onto the screen. My life has been impacted forever. I started out nervous, that I would not be able to cope with the lessons.....I was pleasantly suprised! Matt set out the lessons in baby-steps that were easy to follow and understand.(Thanx Matt, You truly are a blessing!) I look forward to learning more and becoming a world class coder.
Before, I thought coding would just be hard and confusing. But the SheCodes Basic Workshop made me realize how fun coding actually is. Even when there were times that it was frustrating, it all goes away when the code finally works after. Completing the coding classes has been a transformative experience for me. I started with little to no knowledge of web development, but now I feel confident in my skills with React, React Responsive, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Hosting, GitHub, Netlify & VS Code. The curriculum was well-structured, covering both fundamental concepts and advanced topics, enabling me to build interactive and responsive web applications.
