Before this course I could not have opened html and known what I was looking at. Now I can comfortably navigate and make a single page with interactions. This course means so much to me. So grateful that Matt and his team cared for those of us that don't have any other way of learning these skills at this price. I can't wait to keep learning and build on this knowledge foundation.
I like the way Matt Delac explains the concepts step by step and brings out the picture of real-world scenarios, for example, the use of Google and experimenting with the CSS codes

I had so much fun working on this add-on basics project. I loved how the lessons are structured for the week of this project and how I got to work on a specific CSS property after every lesson . So, when it was time to work on the final project, I had already done most of the work through challenges. LOVED it!

At first, I thought that it would be impossible for me to develop an entire weather app, but the process turned out to be incredibly captivating and enjoyable. Having completed the SheCodes Basics program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum as it involved a new programming language (Javascript). However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive, the community was supportive. Within 3 weeks with SheCodes, I've learnt how to do a landing page that I'm proud of. I can say that SheCodes helped with my confidence and self-esteem in this last few weeks. Learning React has been one of the biggest challenges in this code journey. It really helps structuring several pieces of JavaScript with components. Although it was complicated to understand at first, it is something very powerful to acquire in order to simplify and divide code to build bigger and sophisticated web applications.
