I started the SheCodes journey with little coding knowledge but learned so much in one and a half weeks. I worked hard and dedicated my time to learning how to code and completing the SheCode basics, and I managed to finish all my tasks before the due dates. I'm going to continue improving my coding skills here on SheCodes. I really recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to code as a beginner.

I've just completed the Python Basics course, which I liked but didn’t love. The instructional videos with Matt were definitely educational, and I learned a lot of theory. However, I felt the course lacked practical exercises, which I believe is the most important aspect of coding. Some videos included homework that took only a few minutes, while others had no practice at all. As an absolute beginner, I managed to get through the course by copying Matt (and leaning on AI), but I don’t feel confident applying these skills in the real world.
I enjoyed the learning journey, it was truly amazing although at some point is was hard to continue and happy that I did not give up and was resilient. I'm glad to have completed this work, can't wait for more.

This is such a great course, which has taught me so much over the past 3 weeks. I would recommend this course to everyone! Matt is a great tutor and having the videos means you can refer back to them when necessary. Also, Slack is such a super resource and you can find the answer to most questions on there.
This Python Basics Workshop made everything clear and easy to grasp. I learned the core elements of Python, how to create logical operators, and how to use APIs to bring live data into my code. By the end, I was able to build a weather forecast app that updates in real time. The hands-on exercises really boosted my confidence, and now I feel ready to write my own code. I'm excited to keep learning and applying Python to real projects, and I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone just starting out in programming!

I enrolled in the SheCodes Web Development Basics course over a year ago, and after some procrastination, I finally completed it. Despite being a basic course, it taught me a lot, especially in terms of coding and testing a webpage simultaneously. The course structure is incredibly well-organized, making it the best online teaching experience I've encountered so far. Each component is followed by a challenge, which really helps reinforce what you've just learned. As a Computer Engineering student, I found the teacher to be exceptional at explaining concepts clearly, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone new to programming. It's a fantastic starting point for beginners. I also appreciated that the teacher shared some additional industry-relevant insights, even though they weren't part of the certificate level. This gives students a head start if they want to dive deeper into web development. Even though it covers just the basics, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and am excited to pursue higher-level certificates on the platform.
A fantastic course! Amazing how quickly the lessons and challenges allow you to pick up brand new techniques. I thought AI coding would be very difficult but the pace and examples given in the workshops really make the topic accessible. The project was a great way to show off the new skills and I look forward to using them again in the future. Would fully recommend the course to anyone interested in learning more about how AI works in coding and how to add to websites!

I never thought I would understand how the back-end of websites work. I had the most fun going through HTML, CSS and JavaScript (CSS being my favourite🤭) . I cannot wait to continue into SheCodes Plus.

I had an amazing time taking this course.The 3 primary languages for webpage development HTML, CSS and JavaScript are made simpler and understandable even for novices through SheCodes .Through SheCode i managed to gain some skills in VS Code 😌 I was able to put what I had learnt into practice and boost my confidence by taking on challenges and practical projects after every session.As you take challenges and projects everything that you learnt becomes more and more clearer. Special appreciation to the community and helpful instructors for prompt suggestions and solutions whenever I got stuck.Now I'm more confident to create my webpages from scratch. I liked that every lesson had homework for you to practice. It was easy to follow and wasn't too heavy for someone with a small concentration span. I also liked that the instructor encouraged us to do outside-class research and suggested which tools to use.
