I really explored my creativity with this add on.
The desire to know the capabilities of JavaScript kept me going, together with my curiosity about APIs. It's awesome how the whole course is arranged to keep you curious and yearning for more. I can't wait to use my newfound knowledge in projects that I can add to my portfolio as a developer.

My name is Whitney Reed. I'm from Mississippi, but now living in New Orleans, Louisiana. Back, in 2019 and in 2021, I had got in trouble. I lost custody of my daughter to my aunt and uncle in Mississippi. In 2022, I was into a relationship not too long after that and I wasn't happy with my life and the choices i made in it. in 2023, I, then, decided to moved to New Orleans. My goal was to do DoorDash with my car and saving up money, but i ran my car down and sold it. After using up my money and resources, I called a friend up for advice on the next move. She suggests a shelter, so I look one up. The second listing on Google was the New Orleans Mission. It's a faith-based homeless shelter that has an amazing 1 year discipleship that gets people learned about God and help you get back to him. After that, they help people get back in society, and help people get back with their families. I'm a graduate of the program and now into the transition stage, where I'm working full-time and working on a car and housing and hopefully, reuniting with my daughter. It's wonderful. While I was there, I was thinking about get back to school, especially in computer and technology. I already went to four colleges, but i dropped out of all four (mainly because of the discussions). One day, when I finally did my research, I came into SheCodes and signed up in Novemeber 2023 on the Black Friday sale. So far, I love the setup. I like how Matt explains each lesson so well. I definitely like Athena AI in answering my questions so well and also the people over at Slack as well. I wanna thank the people responsible at SheCodes for giving women the chance to learn how to code. I appreciate it!
It was a lot of fun to learn how to make websites responsive. This course left me feeling confident and accomplished as I can now make my websites functional and visually appealing for the users of my websites, regardless of the screen they are accessing it on.
That AI workshop was a game-changer! I learned so much and had a blast diving into the world of artificial intelligence.
The lessons were engaging and easy to follow! It was also fun to identify gaps in my knowledge by attempting to help others solve their issues in Slack
I enjoyed learning React. It was a challenging workshop figuring out how to fix the errors in React but it was also fun.
SheCodes has been amazing for me as a beginner. I have developed new valuable skills and I look forward to learning more programming languages with SheCodes. I'm fully convinced that I'm on the right path.

Great challenge
Learning how to code with React was a big change, it made things more interesting but challenging at the same time. Matt always explains everything in a very clear and simple way, which makes the entire process more enjoyable.
This is probably one of the best coding courses! You gain a lot of knowledge with each lesson. And most importantly, everything is clear, structured and practical. In the process, I keep forgetting that I need it for future work)) I keep feeling like this is my new hobby! Thanks to Matt and his team for a great job, cool courses and knowledge!

I definitely recommend shecodes, I tried a few workshops before finding shecodes and it never lasted, but the teaching method that Matt created here makes it much easier for anyone who has never seen programming or knows the basics.
Still enjoying SheCodes! The classes are well constructed, easy to follow, and also so much fun to me. Excited to keep up the good work!

I've really enjoyed my time on SheCodes Basics as it's helped me revise the core elements of all three HTML, CSS and Javascript. The pace, information shared and the continued assurance from Matt during the videos has been great. Give it a go and you'll never know, you might just be good at coding and want to continue on through the programme, like me!
It was confusing at first since this is my first time learning React but the explanation was clear that I was able to grasp the concept easier! Glad I took this course.
I have loved completing this project! Being a complete beginner, I did find it quite difficult at times... but it was so much fun.

The dictionary project was a great tool for practicing everything we learned during the workshop. Learning to integrate multiple APIs was a valuable experience. Instructor Matt has a real gift for teaching. He is able to explain even difficult technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

SheCodes was an interesting experience, you can absolutely come in with zero knowledge and leave being able to code a weather app. I will see it does get much trickier and you rely on help a lot more near the end - but help is there :)
Definitely think react is challenging and difficult to understand, it took me sometime to finish this course, the support system of SheCodes makes a huge difference when you struggle.

I have learned so much whilst studying for the 'Responsive' part of the SheCodes course. I am confident using CSS and Bootstrap as well as being able to build multiple-page websites. This course has enabled me to build on previous lessons and hone my development skills.
The SheCodes Plus workshop was really challenging, but I have learned a lot from it. I now love working with CodeSandbox and managing my projects on GitHub. Over the past few weeks, I was not only introduced to JavaScript and advanced CSS, but I also learned how to work with APIs and GitHub, which were completely new to me. Completing my weather app has helped me understand certain concepts better and has also provided me with a tangible piece of work to showcase in my portfolio on GitHub and Netlify.

Around 6 years ago I graduated university with a MSc Computer Science. Since then I have been raising and working around my four children.
