A very challenging first coding workshop. I had to review everything twice to understand how all is connected, good videos with step by step explanations so it's easy to follow and to manage to comprehend everything especially if it's first time dealing with coding. SheCodes is a great coding bootcamp to learn from. The way that they teach is very beautiful because, as a beginner, you understand word for word what they are trying to teach you. SheCodes not only gives you an opportunity to develop a coding skill, but it also gives you an opportunity to actually feel how it would be if you were in a tech company and had deadlines to meet—this is shown through the homework and projects given. This basic workshop taught me a lot, and I am thankful. I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone.

This add-on is a nice little two-week addition to the Plus curriculum. I am encouraged to solidify my knowledge of concepts from earlier lessons and challenged to learn just a little bit more than before. I love that we can see Matt making small mistakes during the lessons; it shows us we are not alone in making those little errors, and that we can do hard things! As always, big thanks to both Matt and the rest of the SheCodes team. I am still having the best time learning to code 🎉

I love how this course built upon the skills learned in the Basics course and it gave me some real head scratching, problem solving moments, I 'broke' my dark theme when I tiried to tidy my code up ( those pesky curly brackets!)... I am thoroughly enjoying the course and it is very addictive - just one more lesson before I go to bed/make dinner/walk the dogs!

Before trying the SheCodes workshop I had mainly coded in python and R Studio for uni. What I loved about SheCodes is that it allowed me to combine my passion for design and 'pretty things' with my fun for coding. I loved the overlap of coding and being able to use my creative side to make something I'm passionate about and make it look pretty.
Matt continues to be a fantastic teacher. I now have a much more secure grasp of workflow, project development and the processes required when building a webpage. SheCodes Plus Add-On helped to consolidate my understanding of date and time functionality in Java Script and I was able to continue to hone my skills in HTML, CSS and Java Script. I am looking forward to continuing my coding journey with SheCodes.
I started out as a complete beginner to coding. But this workshop had exactly what I needed to learn the basics and get started. I didn't find I need too much help when I did the challenges as everything was thoroughly explained and I tried to use my own critical thinking to complete each task and homework. I enjoyed completing the final project as I was able to use all that I had learned and put the puzzle together. I loved it 😊.

Matt, is an awesome teacher. Very direct to the point and his explanations are so clear, always having a beginner in mind. I really enjoyed this workshop. He makes a complicated topic very bite sized and easy to understand.

Shecodes workshop is beginner-friendly. I have been able to code a responsive weather app to show weather forecasts for different cities in the world. I have learned how to integrate API with JavaScript.

Basics Add-on offers more valuable skills in terms of front-end development. Mostly refining your work with CSS and playing around with a couple of new JavaScript features. Definitely worth the extra add-on week to the basics pack.

Learned the basics in a very short time. The clips are not too long and everything is explained as clear as possible, you get to the exercices/challenges quick to test it all out. The check on the homework is a great plus during the program since there are multiple solutions to create the same element. Excited for the next step in my coding adventure!

I thought learning to code would be a huge hurdle because it looked complicated and unachievable. I took the free 60-minute course with SheCodes and realized that I understood the material and that it actually looked fun! Now that I've completed my final project, I feel waayyy more confident to take on more coding projects and learn more about JavaScript. Instead of just doing the minimum, I found myself customizing so many things and that it was coming easy to me. This SheCodes Basic Add-On course and project is a great addition to the main SheCodes Basic workshop. The additional CSS skills that it teaches are helpful in ensuring that you can create a beautiful landing page with an organized layout and some fun animation.
These were the longest 8 weeks of my entire 26 years ,but i wouldn't trade them for anything because they have equiped me with such incredible skills and knowledge! I went from only being able to create a static page using HTML,CSS and basic JavaScript to creating my own weather application, which for me is beyond greatness because when i first started i didn't even know what HTML Elements were😂🤦♀️. I am going to keep working on mastering these 3 languages and add a forecast to my pride-themed weather application. I am grateful to Matt for making my coding journey so much fun and easy, he really knows how to explain things in a way that even if its hard you finally get to the point where you're like,"oh yeah, i see it now" and that is the best feeling. Thank you, Matt! I am also grateful to my Slack Community for always being there to answer my questions and rescuing me whenever i got stuck. I look forward to learning more and finding my space as a front-end developer at the end of this amazing journey offered to me by SheCodes Foundation.

The past 3 weeks flew by, which is proof of the fact how easy I could combine my daily work and the contents of this course. It was super fun to learn about the basics of coding and I increasingly grew into the mindset of a coder. Even though I do not think I want to make this my full-time career, it is super helpful to understand more of this topic especially for my job I currently work in.
I recently completed the SheCodes Basics and it was an incredible experience! I was a total beginner with no prior coding knowledge whatsoever. The SheCodes Responsive workshop just took my coding skills to another level. Learning how to make websites responsive is quite important. So that users may have appropriate user interfaces regardless of which device they are using.
I have been trying to learn to code with other platforms and boot camps but I couldn't just get a hang of anything on the lessons until I heard of the SheCodes foundation. I have the best time learning with shecodes and this broke the ice I couldn't break to get into tech. I am looking forward to learning more and becoming a developer or engineer. Currently studying a Diploma in IT and I believe any course in the field of development will be advantageous to me. I spent years not knowing what I love and what I want to do with my life until I researched about being a developer and I knew then that I have found my calling.
I am amazed at what I have learned to say the least.
