Completing the SheCodes basic course was an amazing learning experience for me. I got the hang of HTML quite quickly but JavaScript proved to be a real challenge. Despite this, I am determined to practice it again on my own until I get the hang of it. Matt explained it quite well, its just that JavaScript is challenging on its own. Iβve encountered plenty of bugs, roadblocks, and frustrating moments, but I've learned that those are all part of the journey. This project was such a blast to work on for my portfolio! I learned so much, including how to properly craft prompts for AI, work with AI APIs, style CSS directly in JavaScript, and even explore new JS plugins. A big focus of this project was user experienceβmaking sure the design was intuitive, engaging, and enjoyable for anyone who interacted with it. The highlight of the experience was building our own AI generator using the SheCodes AI API. What made it special was the creative freedom to design and define what we wanted our AI to generate. For me, the choice was easyβcombining my love for the universe and poetry. I created a Cosmic AI Generator that writes 4-line poems about the cosmos, inspired by any word you provide. Itβs a fun, celestial way to explore creativity through AI while keeping the user experience simple and seamless. A huge thanks to SheCodes for this incredible project and to Matt for the clear, step-by-step lessons that made it all possible.

The SheCodes AI Add-on course offers a good introduction to working with AI tools and integrating APIs into your web applications. I appreciated the hands-on approach and the opportunity to use AI to build an interactive text generator. However, the course may feel a bit basic for those with prior knowledge of working with AI prompts and research. While it covers important concepts like AI basics, writing prompts, and integrating AI APIs, it doesnβt go into much depth for more experienced users. Overall, itβs a solid starting point for beginners and provides useful foundational knowledge, but those with some AI experience may not find it as challenging or insightful.
The SheCodes Basics Add-On Workshop was amazing! Super instructive and well-structured, it allowed me to progress step by step in my learning. As a Designer, I loved how, little by little, I can get closer to bringing the ideas I have in mind to life. The lessons were clear, practical, and very motivating.
