SheCodes was exactly what I needed to dive into coding finally. The lessons were clear and engaging, and the course structure made even the tricky concepts feel doable. I was not a fan of this part of the course unfortunately. I think more complex topics should have been broken down accordingly. I don't feel as though I'm leaving with a good grasp of React.

This course completely worked for my self-paced learning preference but also with today's microlearning methods/ learning bites. The use of applied practice through effective coding challenges is key to skill-building in this workshop. No tutorial was longer than 10 minutes and Matt emphasized areas where we may find difficulty or need to review. He encouraged us to persevere and enjoy the process which helps learners build confidence and I did! I have gained more knowledge and skills than expected in less than 3 weeks :).

I enjoyed going through the JavaScript section a lot! I gave this course 4* because I wish we had gone more in depth in JavaScript basics, before building the whole project. While Matt is a great teacher I do think the videos could have more explanations on why something is being done :) All in all, a great course to get you acquainted with the development flow and getting to build a whole project with the last weeks is very fun :)
