I started SheCodes with no knowledge or experience of coding and it has been a fun and most interesting journey ever, I am glad I choose to do it and only hope for the best.

It was great workshop it helped me enhance the basic knowledge that I already had, I got to learn Javascript which I was totally new to and I was intimidated by it but thanks to Matt I'm a bit more confident.

As a full-time working professional and a devoted mother, my days were already filled with numerous responsibilities and commitments. I had always been intrigued by the world of technology and coding but never found the time or the courage to pursue it. However, one day, something within me sparked, and I decided to take a leap of faith. The initial challenges were undoubtedly overwhelming. Balancing work, family, and learning a complex skill like coding seemed like an impossible task. There were moments of self-doubt and frustration when I questioned whether I had made the right choice. But the desire to create something meaningful and the potential opportunities that coding offered kept me going. I started by dedicating a small portion of my daily routine to learning coding. I set aside an hour every evening after my kids went to bed. It wasn't easy, and there were sacrifices involved. I had to give up some leisure activities and adjust my social life. As a working mum, one of my greatest challenges was maintaining a work-life balance. But coding became my escape, my passion project that rejuvenated my spirit. It gave me a sense of purpose beyond my daily routine and reignited my curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. The support I received from my family, especially my partner, was invaluable. So, if you're a full-time working parent dreaming of exploring coding or any other field, take that leap of faith. Believe in yourself, seek support from your loved ones, and embrace the challenges along the way. This course has been extremely amazing to someone starting coding from basics! I have learned so much from it, and think that this is an amazing opportunity for women around the world to follow their dreams while on a tight schedule. There are a lot of sacrifices that you have to make in order to meet deadlines ,but it is absolutely worth every second.
Completing my SheCodes basics has been an amazing journey for me. l am very grateful to the SheCodes team for their dedication, passion and exceptional support, without them l wouldn't have made it. As someone who did not have any coding background, I was very skeptical about pursuing this field but the SheCodes team made it possible for me to learn on my own and finish the SheCodes basics course. The learning experience was very intuitive and seamless and the flexibility of the program enabled me to create a balance between my studies and my personal responsibilities.
I've learned a lot from SheCodes over the past few months, and each time I keep getting better. From South Africa, a full-time mom who also works full-time. I can only say that if you really want to do it, you can!

I have really enjoyed learning something completely new and different from what I am used to. It is a whole lot of small wins for me when I get a piece of code to work by just applying a bit of focus and logical thinking, I celebrate. Matt's videos are easy to follow step by step. I didn't think I would make it this far but I am very happy and grateful that I did and I intend on going all the way to SheCodes Max as I intend on changing my entire career path.
The course is highly effective because it made me, someone who had no prior knowledge of HTML, CSS, and javascript, understand the basics. I feel so confident about the languages now. On week 1 I felt very out of place, but because the lessons are bite-sized I now understand what I am doing.
Has it been a challenge? well certainly, but understanding through exploring the course has kept me going through the journey of code and I would love to continue onto more programming languages. It has been fun!

My learning experience has been both exciting and nerve-wracking at times. Overall, it has revived the curious and adventurous child in me π€ The lessons were clear and easy to follow but the curiosity in me would get the best of me and I would get stuck but the videos and cheatsheets always helped me back to the basics.
This phase of learning has been very interesting, there were a lot of fun moment, confusing ones and emotional moments. The beautiful part about this bootcamp is the support from the whole team. Everyone is always willing to assist, Matt is the most patient instructor, he ensured that the content was well delivered and consumed. I enjoyed this program a lot as it allowed me to challenge my thinking, to better invest my time to understand and be a problem solver.

I joined Shecodes March/April. I did not know much about coding, i always wanted to know how to code. At first the languages and work can be confusing as a beginner however there is an incredible network of advanced and first time coders who offer support- we each learn from each other so it made understanding and completing tasks easier. The course was awesome and more practical. Each lesson piqued my interest in web development and answered some of the questions I had about websites. The classes are short which makes it easier for one to process the information and understand the concepts, more specifically JavaScript.
