Python Advanced introduces how Python is deployed in business settings and gives 'real life' scenarios about tasks and challenges a developer/coder might come across. I was particularly interested in the data visualisations and the css/api integrations. Again, Matt's teaching and his ability to 'decode' tech speak into easily understandable language really helps with getting to grips with Python concepts and fundamentals.
I learned all sorts of cool things on JavaScript like timezones and dates which were quite tricky but nonetheless, Matt made it fun and cool! Thanks Matt!!

This section has given me in depth a better understanding of JavaScript. Which I feared I was never going to get the hang of it. I was able to troubleshoot most bugs I was encountering based on the content of the videos but also help from the team. I will say this project provides a big example of powerful functionality. Furthermore, I can say I feel more confident in moving forward with my coding journey thanks to Matt and the team.

I have had an amazing experience learning how to code through the SheCodes Basics course. When I started , I was worried that I might not be smart enough to learn how to code however the support from the SheCodes team together with the flexibility of the course have made the prospect of learning the basics of html CSS and JavaScript over the course of three weeks when I knew nothing about coding prior less over whelming and extremely enjoyable. Our instructor Matt presented the work to us in a way that was very easy to grasp and the practical component of each lesson helped with my progress and made learning a lot more fun. After having successfully completed the SheCodes basics course I feel a lot more confident in my ability to succeed as front-end developer and I am super excited to continue learning.

SheCodes React was my third SheCodes workshop and as the other ones I am very happy to have finished it, it was great! React is not easy, but Matt makes everything so approachable that even difficult things seem easier ;) I finished this workshop in 2021, but since the workshop formula has changed since and React workshop was divided into two, I needed to resubmit my project to get the correct certificate.

Matt takes his time to teach the course effectively. I'm still adjusting to adding script on the HTML file as JS, CSS and HTML should have its own files. This should be something already taught at the beginning of this coding bootcamp. The projects offered are fairly easily to complete, which is good for beginners.
After just three weeks in the SheCodes Basic Workshop, I can now code an interactive landing page using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript! I have always loved the SheCodes courses and I will never provide less than a 3 because this might be the only site that provides a lesson and homework and that works best for my learning style but I wasn't super impressed with this course. The final project was fully provided. I looked at multiple students solutions available through slack and besides a few extra comments, it was exactly like the answer provided in the video. While I might have understood the content more after watching each video, there wasn't room for figuring it out on our own. There are also mistakes throughout the course and notes that aren't relevant to that particular content. I feel like this was thrown together because people had been asking for a python course but you can tell from previous courses and certain references to material in this course that Matt is super knowledgeable in Java and also lacks in his python skills.
This has been a beautiful, knowledgeable, insightful journey. Being on this programme has helped me understand coding and fall in love with it. The tutor is very sweet and knows how to teach, I have learnt so much from Matt!!
What a great course! I must admit, Python Advanced was more difficult than I was expecting, but the structure and freedom of the lesson plans allow you to go back, re-watch the videos and practice your coding until it sinks in. Big thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team as ever!
I had a fantastic experience with the SheCodes basic workshops! The challenges were engaging and really pushed me to grow as a junior coder. Matt's explanations were clear and approachable, making complicated topics easy to understand.
Python Basics workshop was interesting! I learnt a lot about Python fundamentals, including strings, variables, data types, loops, conditions - knowing how they work and how they can be manipulated. Building the weather app on Python was a challenging yet exciting exercise - Matt was really good in breaking down the process which made it easy to understand and follow through. I am confident that my knowledge of Python will improve when I undertake the Python Plus workshop.
This was an amazing workshop where I learnt beginner coding in an understandable way. Matt Delac does an amazing job of demonstrating a skillset and allowing room for students to expand on this basic understanding and add their own unique final touches to their programmes; this in turn instills confidence and makes coding an exciting process where you can expand your horizons with user experience and aesthetics for the creating process of your website.

Thank you so much for this excellent introduction to React. I found this course challenging but very rewarding, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Using a different API (SheCodes Weather API) from the one shown in the videos made the learning curve steeper, but I appreciate that because we had to think for ourselves - like we will in the real world. I decided not to follow Matt's coding/file structure on the videos exactly, implementing my own ideas and trying to find solutions by myself. This meant I felt blocked a few times, but the support available on Slack is incredible. Thank you!

Having started the course with absolutely zero knowledge of coding, I feel a massive sense of achievement. The course is designed to enable participants to access lessons for manageable periods of time. The lessons were clear and well structured, as were the challenges and homework, making everything really accessible. There were great resources to access too. I struggled with keeping within the suggested timeframes but that did not deter me. Matt is a great teacher who provides positive reinforcement and recognises when some content is challenging. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and am hoping to register for the next one. I can't recommend this course enough!

This workshop is super easy to follow but at times very challenging. Matt is definitely pushing you to learn as much as possible early on, which might mean you need to redo some lessons in order to completely grasp the concepts. However, the challenges are fun and there's always help to get through the various resources available. In the end you will have completed a really cool project that definitely encourages you to move forward and learning more in the next workshops!
