I programmed a Weather App to enable users search for their current location, the location they reside, and other locations. I also used a metric unit to enable users toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit degree, dependent on their location. It has been a mind blowing journey and it was really tasking, glad I got the result I needed. SheCodes has been an incredible experience! I am mostly bedridden and have very limited mental energy due to ME/CFS, but Matt's lessons are simple and enjoyable. Plus the program was very flexible with extensions when I was in health flares. It felt sooo good to actually learn a new skill and feel productive again! I missed that feeling! At a crossroad in my life, where I was desperate to find something relevant, that also stands for women empowerment and that I could dig my creative claws into - I couldnβt have found ShCodes at a better time. Having Matt to talk through things with, and make lights of stressful situations was what got me though in the end and I canβt wait to keep practising to eventually become a front end developer, and learn other languages to potentially go further. The world of code seems limitless, with opportunity to enter any industry. My ultimate goal is to be able to build and host my own website from scratch, that will encourage collaboration and interaction. I really liked: interactive online platform (special thanks for the designπ); easy and understandable teaching of the material; structured schedule with deadlines; execution of my own 1st project at the end of the course. I would like to pay attention to Introducing SheCodes Coding Tools: CSS Color Palettes and CSS Gradients. These tools are fantastic and make every project better. A lot of thanks to Matt Delac and the SheCodes team for the cool spending time and new coding skills. I really appreciate the learning opportunity I got through the SheCodes Foundation program.
