After focusing mainly on HTML and CSS, the leap to React was a little challenging - but once I got into it I had so much fun! Matt shows different methods to completing sections of your code, and its useful to know best practices with these too. Thank you SheCodes and Matt for an amazing course!

I am absolutely astounded by the program. In just a couple of weeks, I went from knowing nothing about web development to being able to put together a simple website! It's such an amazing feeling seeing my creation come to life. Matt does an amazing job of both teaching and equipping you with finding answers from reputable sources. I am a mom of 3 that is currently unemployed and looking for a career change into technology development. SheCodes.io appeared to be the right answer from the outside and after the basics program, I know I made the right choice. Matt is such a brilliant teacher that you know more than you realize by the time you finish. Highly recommend.
I have to say that SheCodes React was not the same as SheCodesPlus or SheCodesBasics. React is very complicated, it has very abstract concepts and it's difficult to grasp. There was a plan for the lesson and mid-video, it completely changes from what we already did to an architecture that makes your whole code malfunction. It would have been better to follow a structure right away and to keep a persistent and confident goal per-lesson. I would say Matt doesn't teach you how to fully comprehend React but to be a Programmer instead of a Developer. Basically, just do this and there you have a working app instead of explaining every single concept carefully so that you can create your own functioning app. A lot of: "This is complicated but you don't need to understand this so let's skip this" and once:"I don't really know what Im doing but thats how the coding journey is like". The architecture is not excellent and naming is not good. This is absolutely crucial to learn in the beginning of your coding journey. There's so many commands that really help to edit your code more effectively and I found out from another source that is not SheCodes. Also, re-rendering is incredibly complicated and is a persistent problem from React. But currently I don't know enough information about this matter to make a proper statement of what SheCodes could have done better. The structure of lesson + video really does help and its appreciated, because theres so much to learn that you can get lost without it. Also, you can access and re-watch everything you've learnt, which is super helpful. SheCodes team is very efficient and they really do help, also Matt! I do believe that SheCodes is really amazing. Honestly, I love the concept and if it's possible I would love to explain to the team exactly what could be done better. To conclude, I genuinely appreciate the SheCodes Foundation in general. If anyone pays the price to be in this course, they deserve to have a consistent-problem solving-course.
SheCodes has given me a solid foundation of coding, I had no idea where to start yet SheCodes made it so simple and easy to follow. Coding isn't necessarily easy or simple but it is a language, and Matt's tutorial videos are straight forward and sectioned into bite-size chunks so you CAN follow without getting overloaded with information.
I am new to IT and was a little scared since I didn't know anything about it, but I am happy I did it. Matt explains everything so easily, and because of this, I want to keep learning more about coding
The SheCodes Basic AddOn has been a very interesting workshop where I got to learn the beautiful and creative powers of CSS. It has added a sense of creativity in me in that it kept me experiment more with the various advanced features of CSS. Its been a long time since ive taken a course that does not involve power point presentation s or watching the instructor read to me. Matt got right into it with "let me show you" followed by "now you do it"...there are also no quizzes but actual mini projects demonstrating you know how to do what he just showed, followed by a final project. This was sort of a refresher for me (i took a coding class over a decade ago) and thank you THANK YOU. I am not sure if I will pursue this (not for me) but what this course did was expand my realm of possibility and give me more confidence to tackle on other online courses. THANK you for making learning exciting again :) I have told several people to just take this course to see and experience what great teaching is just so they can be inspired to take more classes. Great job. Outstanding really.

Loved SheCodes Responsive! I have to admit I was struggling with Plus a bit especially after having a 6-month break in between workshops, as I felt rusty at coding. That's why I was adamant taking Responsive right after finishing Plus, and enjoyed much much more and I can genuinely say that was worth every penny. Now I'm onto the next one, and hopefully I'll be able to do some adds-on projects too! Just love the atmosphere here (even it's digital lol) and how learning to code is made so effortless by Matt! Keep up the good work π
I should admit that workshops are the best in coding classes and the whole classes I have attended. Matt has incredible teaching skills. I have to congratulate the SheCodes team for their fantastic platform and method of teaching coding with short videos, challenges, and solutions.

Although programming it is a completely new experience for me, Matt's step by step guidance makes the path easy to follow. Sometimes it looks frightening and way out of our league but he gives the boost and confidence for us to test and to create new things that we never thought that we could do.

It's been a fantastic experience. Matt is a great teacher, I always look forward to the next lesson.
I found SheCodes enjoyable and easy to navigate. The fact that each learning module was around 6-12 minutes long meant I didn't feel under pressure to commit hours of studying at a time (which is something that usually leads me to procrastinate!) The challenges along the way kept things interesting. I liked the casual way Matt explains things in the video as it feels more approachable and low-pressure than a formal academic approach. I found the first week the hardest and took up the most amount of hours. By the second week I felt more comfortable and there were less modules so I was more motivated to finish the week early. Make sure you leave plenty of time for the homework at the end of each week, I underestimated how it would take me to complete the Week One homework so had to push my start date back. I ended up finishing the entire course a week early after my initial slow start, so there's quite a lot of flexibility when it comes to your learning schedule and deadlines. Overall I would recommend SheCodes. I'm excited and motivated to keep learning!

Great, approachable way to get into coding. I felt like there was a helping hand available if I needed it, but also encourage to find the answers yourself. Great practical exercises and very helpful to see a solution video of Matt explaining his logic and method of approaching a coding exercise as opposed to just 'getting the answer to it' - that's very valuable for a novice coder to see how an experienced coder would approach the same problem.
Having very little experience with coding before taking this course, I was a little apprehensive about taking it. There was no need to be apprehensive as Matt did a great job in the videos of explaining how everything works! And I had fun learning and making the final project.
I can't describe how useful and practical this course was for me. As someone who had no knowledge of coding, I was able to easily learn and apply the concepts. The positive point of this course was that it was divided into short sessions. There were also very good challenges that helped to consolidate the content in my mind. Thanks, Matt! It has been a fantastic ride with SheCodes. I'm overwhelmed with the excitement of coding my very own weather app from scratch. Thank you for providing the opportunity to learn React. It was by far the most challenging out of all the workshops, but I feel it was a valuable skill to gain. The lessons from Matt were well-guided and I was able to follow them along the way. After starting with SheCodes Basic 13 months ago, I feel I have come a long way and now more confident in applying my newly gained front-end skills to my job.
